A great new TOS fan series is called Star Trek Continues. They've only put out two episodes so far, but the production quality is up there with studio work. James Doohan's son plays Scotty,

Here they are on YouTube, well worth watching:

Oh, that was Lou Ferrigno as the Orion slave owner. Cool.

Very well done.

Yes, really good work and at a tiny fraction of a Hollywood budget.

The third episode is now on YouTube. Great stuff. Enjoy.

Nice. TOS should have done this one. It would have been great to see Barbara Luna again.

With Michael Dorn doing the computer voice.

It's cool that they had the restored Galileo 7 shuttle there.

Good episode. Good series so far.

My favorite fan-made production, hands-down.

How about a tour of the sets used in Star Trek Continues?

This was successful in getting Kickstarter funding. So we should be seeing more.

Episode No. 4 The White Iris is to be shown at Pheonix Comicon May 29, 2015, and should be on YouTube shortly thereafter.

Episode No. 4 The White Iris is now on YouTube. Marina Sirtis provides the computer voice.

That's a bucket of water in this long, severe drought.

Great. Hope to see more.

CBS had it removed from YouTube. Sorry.

For now, though, this link works:

Well made, like the first four, with a little less postproduction, it looks like. This is the first episode of this series not fully self-funded, having gotten some Kickstarter funding. And what happens? CBS has it removed from YouTube the first day it's up. Is that what will happen with the other Kickstarter-funded Trek fan films we've heard about that may actually get finished?

Good job.

Episode 5:

It's like a modern version of a typical TOS ep.

Very good.

Star Trek Continues is the only fan production that gets it right. Even the writing and the acting is good, which is usually the bane of fan made productions. Even James Cawley's New Voyages suffers from those drawbacks.

They've just released another hour long episode! Are they not going to adhere to CBS/Viacom's restrictions on fan productions?!

Just in time for Trek's 50th anniversary.

Some of the actors seemed to be wearing Funkybod padded undershirts.

Another good episode. Not the last, I hope.

Wonderful. I wasn't expecting any more. Glad to see it.

That's really a good episode. Well done.

Fantastic. Just like a TOS episode, except for the cast.

Posted by: Thunderchild Aug 6 2017, 03:15 PM
Cool concept, and nice to see John DeLancie again.

Very good. The idea of monochrome could have been silly, but the in-universe explanation was solid. And they used that factor in the best possible way. Excellent.

Very nicely done. And Part II, coming Nov. 13, will be the last episode of this excellent web series.
