Battle Rules Version 1.0

The battle rules will be simple, and subjective. The main idea is to let a judge decide on how well you attack or defend. To see who moves first the person who makes the challenge goes first. To judge hits and dodges. To dodge one must post, well, that they dodge in a way that satisfies the judge. We, the judges, will also judge on how well you post. SO no crap like: “I do a back flip and then disappear into the air dodging all attacks”. NO, if you do that, we will personally make some really bad crap happen to you. I this case: “You suddenly reappear, right in front of your opponents attacks, and take full damage. Attacks will be judged almost the same way, you will add your strength to your damage on your weapon, a successful hit will do some damage. If you post this: “I stab him three times”. Judge posts: “You drop your sword, end of turn”. If you post really, really nice attacks, a judge may call a critical hit.

Also the first person to go can use an attack to become wary of a counterattack, “Taurus runs forwards and thrusts his sword at (Target)’s chest, then he ducks his head and prepares for the inevitable counterattack.” This makes you a bit harder to hit, and if you maneuver right, you can really put the hurt on your opponent. Such as forcing him/her to swing low and leaving his entire upper half vulnerable, or perhaps forcing his/her own shield into the striking area.

As for dodging, be aware of how flexible your character is, and where all body parts are at all times. I know I will be calling hits on an outstretched arm in some heated battles that aren’t going anywhere fast.

Jedi or Sith powers must be bolded so the Battle mod can tell if you did the move correctly and had the proper time to use it

we will allow battles to drag on for a time, but if the player doesn’t post the judge will be prompted to send the player a Private message. If the player still persists in not posting, the win goes to the one who was present. Even if the player had a valid reason to be gone, grounding etc, the win is still awarded. I might be generous and award no loss, but the player who was present wins and gets his or her prize.

If there are rules loop holes, they will be fixed. This is merely a test, if it were the real thing detailed instruction would follow… *makes a long, annoying, screeching sound*

Special Thanks for these rules goes to Faust Heimdall/Pyro who originally designed this for Another one of my rpg’s thaught he would love to see them used after all his hard work
