[Alice Lidell]

A happly hummer tune bounced amoung the trees of the on the chilly autumn afternoon. Acompanied by the soft sounds of falling leaves and chirps of birds as they readied for winter along with the other forests dwellers. In the middle of the clearing was a young woman, not too far into her Twenties and gently falling golden hair sat on a stump and an Eizel and partially painted canvas sat in front of her, capturing the beautiful day. Alice Lidell had decided it was to gorgeous a day to spend painting inside her lonely home and so she ventured, though not very far from her car that was parked on the side of the road, to paint in the brisk morning and into the afternoon on one of her days off.
Her gentle and precise strokes captured the way the light fell through the trees, the exact color of the leaves and how they dance all their way to the ground. The only thing that was different in the painting, compared to the scenery around her, was a man dressed in a long coat and top hat, holding his hand out to the painter. They way she painted him, the hat no his head was tilted and his his face partially.
Alice sighed and stopped in her humming as she looked at the hat wearing gentlemen in her painting. Often this strange man invaded her dreams, laughing and smiling, but she could never truly see his face. Speaking in ways Alice did not know. Of hats and rabbit holes and other worlds.
But her dreams always ended the same...right in the middle and him reaching out to her and calling out her name.
'Alice....'

Jefferson looked ahead. He watched her closely. He did not want to scare her away. And, he did not want her to notice him. He grinned happily. It was his Alice. Jefferson knew she did not recognize him at all. But, he knew it was her.

'Oh, come on Alice ya gotta remember me,' he thought to himself. He bit down on his bottom lip hard, and made his way over to her. Jefferson extended his arm out, and touched her. "Alice. Alice wake up. I know you won't know who I am. But, I know you. You and are were once married. And, we have or well had a child together. Remember her name, Grace," he whispered to her.

He stroked her blonde hair, and smiled widely. She was his. And, she will slays be his. But, in this world he did not exists to her.

Alice gasped and jumped up from where she sat, and turned to the strange man with her paintbrush poised as her only line of defense against the man. "Stay back!" she said as she faced the man and and knocked her painting into the falling leaves.
"I...I dont know a grace...i dont know who you are either, I think you made some kind of mistake.

Oh, he knew this would happen. Jefferson knew this would happen. He sighed, and then stared at her. He wanted to hold his wife again. He so badly wanted to cradle her in his arms, and tell her everything was going to be okay. But, he knew that would not happen. "That is sad. I hoped you would remember me. But, then again I'm stupid to think you would even remember me. It's the curse! It's the stupid curse," he said out loud.

Alice swallowed hard, afraid that she may be in very serious trouble. 'This guys is nuts.' She thought. She was grateful for the bit of distance between them in case things got bad and she had to run for it. "
"look, I'm sorry." She said as she chanced reaching for her things. "But you have me mistaken for someone else. I hope you find your Alice but I must be going." She said as she picked up the painting.

Jefferson remembered the day that they met. He had fallen for her the moment he laid eyes upon her. She was sweet, gentle, and kind. Alice was everything he could ever want. But, it broke his heart that she did no remember him. It really did break his heart she had no clue. But, that was what happened when the curse started everyone forgot their past lives......and started new lives. He was still furious with Regina. She ruined his only happiness......just because what that Snow White did to her. He shook his head, and stared at Alice. "It's not your fault. Maybe one day you will remember," he said to her. There was still a small glimmer of hope left in him. He knew somehow and someway he would get his family back.

"Remember what? There is nothing to remember." She said as she packed away her still paint laden brushes with out too much thought and placed the painting down carefully, with out smudging it and began to breakdown the eisle. "Do you have any proof of what your saying? Do you even believe it?" She asked with a tone of annoyance.

[Jefferson Hatter]

"Proof? Proof? I do not need proof! We were married in Ever After. It's the curse that made you forget. It made you forget me, and Grace," he said. Jefferson folded his arms over his chest, and just looked away. How could he get her to remember? How could he get his one true love to remember him?! It would be hard....but he would work day and night to get Alice to remember him. "I know your name...Alice Lidell Kingsley," He said to her.

Alice looked up at him as he started going off again about them being married. "I'm not your wife! your freaking nuts, You know that?" She turned and started to storm off again till he said her full name. She turned back to him sharply and glared. "How do you know my name? Who the hell are you?"

Jefferson could feel a sigh of relief rush through him. She came back. He was so happy. 'She is mine. She is my wife. I will not let her get away. I will keep bothering her until she finally remembers me,' he thought. Jefferson folded his arms over his chest, and just smiled a bit. "I also know your a daydreamer. And, I know your favorite name for a girl is Grace," he said. Jefferson gently poked her chest, and pulled back. He waited for her reply.

"Your stalking me?" She accused as she stepped back from him. "Look you stay away from me alright? stay away from me, my home, Chester...everything got it? or I will call the Sheriff." she said and turned to storm back to her car. Alice was more angry then afraid of this man. Annoyed and confused...but something about him made her feel...safe.
