THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL TOPIC FOR THIS...THIS IS JUST A ROUGH EXAMPLE OF HOW THINGS WILL LOOK/BE LIKE WHEN "SMASH SEASON" IS PUT INTO EFFECT.

How it Looks:

Note: For this example, there are 24 members (A-X), seperated into 2 conferences (North and South), and 3 divisions within each conference (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, and Pink).

North Conference

Red
A
B
C
D

Blue
E
F
G
H

Yellow
I
J
K
L

South Conference

Green
M
N
O
P

Orange
Q
R
S
T

Pink
U
V
W
X

How it works: (Note: Using Layout Above for examples and amount of matches. These numbers are subject to change)

This is a 6 week season, 2 week playoff Game...Think of it as you do sports, with a regular season and a playoff season.

Basic Rules:

4 stock matches, No time limit, No items

Stages are to go as follows: 1. Any Neutral Stage
2. Round one Loser's pick
3. Round one Winner's pick

You play 3 matches, Not best 2 out of 3. Three. For example, player A beats player B two times and loses once, player A's record is 2-1, and B's 1-2. This way, both parties have a chance at wins and losses. This is better because it is better to say "I have won three times" (3-6) than "I have lost three times" (0-3). It also makes it easier to calculate who will go to the playoffs. (more on that later)

When posting results, please put who you played and your record. Both parties are required to post results, if both parties to not post, the games will not be counted. There MAY be a few pardons to this rule, depending on the situation. From there, conferences will be checked to be sure you are following season rules.

Season Rules:

For the 1st two weeks (1-2) of the season, you will play people that are NOT in your conference (North plays South, South plays North). You will be expected to play at least 6 people (18 games) during this time. You are not aloud to play the same person twice during these two weeks. Failure to play 6 people will not eliminate you from playoffs, but may hurt you if there is ever a split decision, giving the spot to the person who came closest to filling all requirements.

For the 2nd two weeks (3-4) of the season, you will play people that are ONLY in your conference (North plays North, South plays South). You will be expected to play at least 6 different people (18 games), Including ALL OF THE OTHER MEMBERS OF YOUR DIVISION (Red, Blue, etc.), during this time.

For the 3rd two weeks (5-6) of the season, you will be allowed to face ANYONE you like, and are expected to play 6 different people (18 games). You are allowed to play people you had once previously done in the season.

All games that are played in the incorrect time period (In conference within the first two weeks, or out of conference within the second two weeks), the games will not be counted towards your record.

You will have two records, your overall record and your division record.

Playoffs:

Depending on the amount of participants, the playoff brackett will be vary. For this example, as before, assume the Conference layout is accurate...There will be a 16 player playoff, 8 players from each conference.

The first three spots in each conference will be filled with divsion leaders.

The other spots will be filled with the players with the 5 best overall records.

From there, the players are put into a brackett, and will face each other in standard tournament rules until a Champion is decided.

Offseason/Season:

Seasons will take approx. 2 months (including playoffs) to do.

Offseasons will last 1 month after every Smash Season.
