New People: Welcome to the old site! It's pretty completely defunct these days. For now, here are a couple of other places you could try to get your Videogame-themed play-by-post fix:

Legends from the Macroverse is the 'official' remake of SSBRP. The lead admin created it upon the realization that this particular site was slipping away. This site has something of an upstart appearance and could definitely use some new members.

Celestial Refresh RP was once our friendly 'competition' - a sister site. It remains a strong community. Many people once frequented both sites, and a few of the 'survivors' have simply switched over to CERP.

I myself intend to haunt this abandoned board for a little bit. Despite being no more than a bunch of text arranged on a screen, there's this interesting feeling of solitude... it's like returning to a house once everybody has gone and all of the furniture and such has been moved out...

People who used to post here: Don't worry! Your stuff isn't really gone, I just shoved a bunch of forums into a new category and disabled it. They're hiding. If you want something pulled up, just ask.

I just mostly look through the Deadwina topics, she was just that awesome of a roleplayer.

If anyone wants to browse the adventure boards manually, go here. The moon is still on the front page in its own category. The only explanation I have for this is that it, "looks right." I'm also debating the possibility of letting people mess around on the moon a bit, so if anyone happens to get really, really, really bored, we can discuss it.

Meh, I just like hanging around here. It holds so many memories for me, it was the first forum I ever joined on the internet, seriously, if you were to look back at my first posts, you'd see how much of a n00b I was. Besides, I really love the Boo smileys.

Besides, I haven't found a good stat-based RP since here. Everyone was all posting RP boards, CERP is too dang, well, too strict for my tastes, ya know, you can only explore other areas after this, you can only use a character not from video games after this and so forth and so on.

I've been waiting for the new SSBRP to open.

But, that's just me. I really need a good stat-based RP, the only forum I've really loved after this has only one RP section, as soon as the good members and RPers left, it's turning into a ULTIMATE GLYDE LASER!!hole that we, as human beings, like to refer too as the next 4Chan, even though me, Roger and Paint Roller helped made it that way. I think Billy was on there for three days, but...

But, that's just me.

I wasn't aware that they were missing? There's stuff dating back to the very beginning in late 2005, so that should catch everything of yours. What happened to it before?

They were definitely missing; I think that's half the reason Super Doctor Iroh Rock moved to the new forum. For example, you notice how this news forum currently has -19 topics? Before you moved the other subforums, a lot of them looked similar to that and most all of the topics within appeared to be gone. I'm guessing that whatever the hacker did, it got mostly fixed when you made the move. Maybe you could try the same thing with the rules forum which currently has 0 topics? It's possible that all of those were manually deleted, though.

Oh yeah, that stupid hacking crap. As I recall, the posts were never really gone, just renumbered in a stupid way that makes it quit displaying them in the middle of the topic. I think that we concluded that anything that makes it iterate through a topic's posts fixes it, so I guess that a move counts. I wasn't thinking about that when I did it, but I'll gladly take the credit, heh. I'll do the same for the moon when I get some time.

So, the posts are still here? Huh... Is it possible for you do the same thing with the rest of the forums? It could really help me with rebuilding and retooling the new site's rules and battle system a lot faster than it will take otherwise, though what I mainly would need are attacks, abilities, flaws, and any other bits of rules lying around.

Another thing you could do is promote me to admin on this site and I'll just do it by myself if you'd prefer that.

Would you try creating a new rules forum, and using the ACP to move all posts from the old rules forum to the new one? If your theory about the renumbering is correct, this data should still be salvageable.
