Melody watched the two leave, feeling a little guilty now, she had ignored them without meaning too... She was tempted follow after them, but decided against it, since there were others here with her. She turned her attention to the Minotaur, and smiled, "Hi. What's your name?" She asked politely.

She knew that while traveling you meet a lot of people, but it wasn't normal to meet so many at one time in the middle of the forest, or at least, this had never happened to her and her father before.

Kiyoshi eyed the Minotaur, great. Now ANOTHER person had joined them... this was getting a little over crowded, of course, the two dragons had left, but it didn't matter much to him.

IC: The minotuar turned to Melody and smiled, "Hello, my name is Lucian Fusilar, and yours?" He was actually happy to have someone to talk to who wasn't schemeing like Jierdeen, or a goblin. Grrr, he was sick of goblins. He continued to give Melody a politely inquisitive look.

"I'm Melody." She told him, "It's pleasure to meet you, Lucian." She paused for a moment, and then pointed to Kiyoshi, who was still looking distrustingly at Lucian, "This is Kiyoshi."

Kiyoshi frowned, once again, she was giving away information that really shouldn't be given.... the next time he was alone with her, he would have to talk to her about it... of course, with the human traveling with them, and possibly these other two, if things continued on the way they had been, he doubted he'd get much time at all alone with Melody.

Then again, the Minotaur might decide to leave, as might the man with the mask... it seemed that Jierdeen would be sticking around for a while...

"So, what exactly is your reason for being here?" Melody asked Lucian, her hands folded behind her back.

[Lucian Fusilar]

"Ah, that milady, is quite a tale," started Lucian, " The short version is that I once roved the land with a group of bandits so I could survive. However, I was captured by elves of the Aeryon clan and forced to fight for them. During an intense battle I faced of with a human named Jierdeen Fikraag. He had advanced technology and wounded me with it." The minotuar moved closer and dropped his voice to a whisper so only Melody and Kiyoshi could hear, "I saw something in that man. He hesitated and would not kill me. I thought that compassion was a rare trait in many species, so it should be protected. In return for medical assistance and amnesty I would be his guard. However, I'm not sure how much of the old Jierdeen there is left." The minotuar sighed and moved back to his old position. he started satring at a nearby river, contemplating.

Melody's mouth formed a 'o', before she smiled, "Whoa..."

Kiyoshi turned his attention the fire that was still burning between everyone, not wanting to make eye-contact with any one at all...

"So then... you go where Jierdeen goes right?" Melody asked, though she didn't wait a reply, "Meaning you would be coming along with us as well?" She questioned, giving Lucian a warm smile.

They had come just to climb the Guardian Mountains, but now she was beginning to wander where they would lead them, it seemed they had these three joining up with Kiyoshi and herself, of course, Jierdeen was the only one that was for certain... but that was besides the point!

The minotuar returned the smile and said, "I guess I will be. I need to keep an eye on him, make sure taht he doesn't blow himself up." Lucian pointed at Jierdeen.
"Oh, and you over there," said the minotuar to the man with the flute, "Is that all you play? No clarinet or saxophone? I was just wondering. I happened to be fond of the tenor sax. I'll admit you're pretty good with the flute from what I've heard, but variety is good too."

BiC: "I do not know of those instruments you speak of minitaur. But this flute is not all that I play. This flute just means something to me." he cleared he throat and looked over at Melody, "Perhaps I could travel with you? I was never really with that mad man of a dragon anyway. i was working for information but I can find out the information on my own. I would be of great service to you." He slowly moved his arm, he managed to move it. For once he could move it only a short time after it would creep up his arm.

"I shall make it formal." he then took a knee and spoke, "Melody may I join you and your friends on your journey and serve as a bodygaurd to defend you when ever you are in danger?" He stopped then continued, "Also I have a request, can we also journey to where the leader's of the dragons reside. I ask this so I can warn them of that arrogant dragon and maybe the possible traitor that is of their bloodline."

((Actually the saxophone was invented in the early 1800s by Adolf Sax, but that's not important, the point is is that the timeline for the game does not exactly corrospond with Earth's. I notice that the polictical system is still composed, of many nomadic societies, yet there are early firearms, but whatever back to roleplaying))

The minotaur stared at the man for several minutes. He was not sure he trusted him. He saw when they swooped down on the girl and her friend when they heard the singing. It was probably something that had to do with the rise and fall of some empire, oh well, nothing new, humans. Lucian sighed and waited for Melody to give the enthusiastic yes.

Melody blinked, "Umm..." She wasn't quite so sure it would be such a good idea, after all, this guy kinda creeped her out a little... but it would be rude to say no out right, and he had asked so nicely, and seemed to have good intentions. "First, I'd like to make it clear, that I am capable of taking care of myself." She pointed out.

She glanced back at Kiyoshi who seemed to be waiting for her to finish. She turned her head to look at the man again, "Secondly, I don't know your name yet... and it's not all up to me anymore." She smiled, "I'm okay with you coming along, since you seem to have good intentions, but it seems that the others should have a say as well, right?"

Melody turned to look at Kiyoshi, "What do you think?" She asked, wanting his oppinon as quickly as possible.

Kiyoshi didn't like this guy much, but it seemed that Melody was okay with it... and he did have good reasons for wanting to go where he wanted to go.. Kiyoshi shrugged his shoulders, letting her know that he didn't nessicarily care; though he was sure she knew that he did.

Melody looked at Lucian and Jierdeen, "Well? What do you guys think?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Well, I will go where Jierdeen goes, and would be delited to travel with you, miss Melody and you as well Kiyoshi," the minotaur finally said. He took another second before saying to Jierdeen, "So are we going or not?"

Melody jumped with glee. They'd have other people traveling with them, this was so neat! She smiled brightly, and turned to Kiyoshi, "This means you'll have to start talking you know?" The look Kiyoshi sent her made her want to laugh, but she pushed the temptation away and turned to the flutist, and smiled, "You can come along!" Her eyes lit up, "After all the saying goes 'the more the merrier' right?"

Kiyoshi sighed, great. Now her would with two MALE humans he didn't know... or well... they seemed like humans. He stood up, and grasped Melody's arm, pulling her down to whisper in her ear, "Are you sure about this?"

Melody pulled back, "Of course! I told you we were going to climb the mountains, and if they wish to come along, what would give me the right to say no." She said knowingly, "Besides, what could it possibly hurt?" She asked.
