Yeah, so it's no surprise to anybody that this place is pretty ... deadish. Aside from the occasional line in the CBox, if this place was hooked up to a heart-rate monitor, all we'd be hearing is the 'beeeeeeeep' of a flatline. And no, I am not resorting to medical analogies because I haven't watched House in the past god-knows-how-many-weeks.

.... well, okay, maybe I am. Life without TV is hard, dammit!

Anyway, back the point.

I realize this is mainly my fault ... I haven't been around as much as I would like to be. And as the person who runs this place, I've been doing a pretty shitty job at doing so. I attribute that to workload and also to sheer laziness/forgetfulness. So I want to apologize in general for letting this place kick the bucket and for essentially leaving and dumping responsibility on the rest of you Admins and Mods and Members. I wish I had more stamina, really... and I wish for a permanent muse.

As for the fate of SM ...

Truth be told, I haven't decided yet. Right now, it feels like I haven't got a muse left for this place. The initial excitement I had at making this place and Modding and stuff ... I don't know where it went. So, that leaves two options:

1) Around December-ish, assuming my Muse returns, this place might get a jump-start. We'll start up the systems once again and get 'er rolling. Hopefully pick things up back the pace they were before.

2) This place might shut down, come mid-December-ish. Of course, this comes with a little 'bonus' I guess you might say. Because I've been thinking ... I might start a new site in place of this one. One that will be majorly freeform, making Modding so much easier and thus keeping activity up. Easier to run, easier to manage, and we'll hopefully transfer all you folks from here to there, so we'll still keep up the fantastic level of RPing. Of course, I haven't planned out this new RPG very much (it won't be a remake of SM, however), but it's an idea in the making. And if enough people throw their support behind it, I might be able to do something about it?


So ... these are the two pending options right now. Once again, neither of these are definite: they're just tentative. Of course, it would be selfish of me to make the decision on my own and expect you all to follow along. Which is why I'm keeping this open to discussion, so you guys can offer your input and suggestions.

I'm going to make more of an effort to stop by this site, now that November exams are finally over, though more for the conversation than the RPing (and once again, I apologize. You're not hating the museless-biohazard as much as the museless-Biohazard is hating herself, right now). But if it counts for anything, I really do love chatting and hanging with you cool cats, and no matter what happens to this place, I do hope we can keep in touch.

My computer was in France for three months with my mother and aunt, so I kinda forgot about this place. I apoligize. It wasn't until I finally had Google Chrome back that I was like, hey, I wonder what happened to that place?

As for my personal life, it's still hectic. I had my Chorus concert Monday and the in-school concert is Wednesday (which I am still peeved about because our new director says only seniors can try for solos), I'm doing lots of backstage stuff for the Drama department right now (not in the shows 'cause I can't make the snow date, I can make the show date, just not the snow date); Speech and Debate is taking up lots of my time. Its fun, but time consuming. GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) is also very time consuming. Our next meeting in Tuesday with 52 people attending! Can you imagine?

And yes, relationships still take a lot of time out of my day. So does AP US History. Thankfully, I hear its the most dfficult AP course our school offers. Whoopie.
