All rules must be read before becoming a member or posting
your application. Furthermore, you may not post anywhere until
your application is accepted.
the main ones .1. Spamming and / or Trashing the SiteJust don't do it. Okays? It's not polite and it's certainly won't
impress us admins or others members if you are ruining this site.
First incidence is a warning, second time a member is banned for
a week. Third time - do you really want to know? Spamming is
basically double posting, one word posts etc. Need more
clarification? PM me or one of the other admins.
2. Language and GrammarWe are a literate site, meaning one line posts are not acceptable.
Yes, everyone gets writers block every now and then so sometimes
it just can't be helped. However, if every IC post you are making is
less than
250 words, you will receive a warning. This, of
course, excludes OOC posts. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Obviously, I understand that we all are from different countries so
spelling may be different, but please, use spell check on Microsoft
Word! It only takes a few seconds and it makes the board look a lot
neater. Typos are to be expected, but that doesn't mean I want to see
a whole post filled with them!
3. RatingThis is more for experienced RPers so the rating is set at M. That being
said, I will not condone constant sex threads or threads with graphic
gore and violence as they aren't always necessary. If you do feel the
need to exercise some of your more mature side, please put a [M] in
the thread title, just as a warning.
4. Respect other members! Please, if you have a problem with someone, do not start a hate war.
They really are not necessary and that do not add to the friendly
atmosphere of the site. If you do have a problem with another
member, PM an admin and they will sort it out with you and said
member in the most mature and unbiased way possible.
5. ActivityWe'll try and do an activity check once a month, but please keep
active! It's really important to keeping the site alive, and if you're not
active you'll lose your character. If you know you're going to be
away at some point, just post in the Absences board so we all know.
6. The mods and admins say is finalI think this one is rather self explanatory, don't you? Respect us
and we will respect you!
the image ones .1. Credit itIf someone makes you a signature or avatar, they probably spent
quite a lot of time perfecting it for you. Therefore, do not claim it
as your own! Credit it as their work. Similarly, don't steal others
signatures / avatars / images. It's not very polite and we won't be
lenient when we find out (and we will!) you will receive a warning.
2. SizeOh, here we go. The size of your signature does not matter on one
condition: it doesn't stretch the board. This is just a common courtesy
on your part. Avatars must be 200 x 300 pixels, no more or less. Also, do not post images
larger than 500 x 500. These will stretch the board. However, post a
link if you are absolutely dying to.
3. ContentNo nudity, gore, graphic violence, offensive text or anything similar.
End of story. Also, no anime characters. You must have a living person
as your face claim.
the out-of-character ones .1. Be politeYes, your character has permission to be an absolute cow. You,
however, do not. There is no need to put down other members or
trash the site when you are OOC. It's just rude.
2. AdvertisingWe have an advertising section. So why bother posting links to
sites you want to in any other section of the board? There isn't
any point.
the in-character ones .1. Naming your character/sTry to be interesting! While sometimes it is hard to find a name
that really suits your characters, it is annoying to see 'Sam Smith'
walking around. Play around with it! Anything goes! However,
please remember to register with a first middle and last name
with normal capitalisation (i.e. The Doctor)! Obviously if you
have a slip up, simply pm an admin and we will fix it for you.
2. Limit to the number of charactersSimple; there isn't one, providing you keep every single one of them
active. We don't want to see people making countless new characters &
never bothering to develop their old ones.
3. NO powerplaying / godmoddingIn other words; you do not control every single character on this board.
The whole point of rping is interacting with other people! So do not
make your characters all knowing of everything. As for godmodding;
just don't do it, okay? If you're unsure as to what it is; basically, it's
when you determine the actions of another character. WRONG. You
can say that is was a well aimed slap, but never say your character
actually hit the other character. It is up to them to decide whether
their character is involved.
thankyou !love your friendly admins .
