And this can be for all Pokemon games...Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Ranger, Mystery Dungeon Blue & Red, Collosseum, Gale of Darkness, Pinball, the Collosseum on for the Wii (can't remember the exact title). Or any of the new three (2nd Ranger game and the new additions to the Mystery Dungeon). If there's any not listed or mentioned let me know. XD

Since a few of us seem to like Pokemon I figured hey why not. And for those of us playing the games still we can discuss what we're doing and such. You never know, maybe we'll trade info the other doesn't know yet. biggrin.gif

I will admit I got my mom hooked on Pokemon. biggrin.gif I took Collosseum for the GameCube over to her house since I visit with her a lot and she'd end up watching me play more then concentrating on what she was doing. So I leave the game there now and she's got her own game going, she's even got her own copy of Gale of Darkness, and her own copy of a few of the DS and Advance Pokemon games. She loves Piplup from D&P cause he's a penguin. I prefer Chimchar....aka 'Fire monkey!' well....out of the new starters anyway. I can only make a list of favorite pokemon because I don't think I'd ever be able to pick just one favorite. There are 490 of them after all.

I think that's the cutest thing--getting your mom addicted to pokemon! hahah~ Although, truthfully, I've never really played pokemon. I wasn't a gamer until my first year of college, so I'm very behind on the whole gaming thing (and I'm still not willing to spend so much money on gaming consoles because there's anime I really want to buy xD) but I was watching my friend play Pokemon on her DS one day, and it looks really cool. I miss knowing all of the original pokemon. I just know a few. xP

Thanks Neko-chan. laugh.gif Though I'm not sure of which game I prefer...Collesseum or Gale of Darkness. Both are good and you're doing the same thing. Capturing Shadow pokemon and purifying them, but you seem to get better pokemon on Collosseum. You start off with Umbreon and Espeon, end up getting Entei, Suicune, and Raikou (my mom loves Entei). Where as you get Lugia on Gale of Darkness. Though he's more fun to purify since you have to use that wierdo machine that your character's mom helped make. Which is why you have over 80 to purify in Gale of Darknes instead of between 40-50 in Collosseum.

Diamond/Pearl is fun. They give a great straight stretch that goes right through the town with the pokemon daycare. And so if you're on an egg hatching/breeding spree....it's a good spot to use your bike to speed up the step count. Though trust me once you've driven that bike up and down....and up and down......and up and down that path enough...you like turning off the DS to escape it. XD And when filling that pokedex is the mission...believe me. That path...there should be a huge dent in the ground from my little mission. XD

Ahhhh, Pokemon! I swear, the games have never lost their charm in the many years it's been around.

It's fun that you got your mom into it Angel. My mom hates it. XD

As childish as this might sound, some of my friends started playing the card game again...and I got back into it. I currently run a water deck with Kingdra and Kyogre as it's center. And am working on making a darkness deck with Absol and Murkrow/Honchkrow as the center. I forgot how much fun the card game could be... I entered a European tournament in Amsterdam one year when I was younger but failed miserably.

Still the games are much fun. We should battle some time! And when we get more members, have a sort of Shadow Followers Championship! =D

I haven't played Diamond in awhile, because I got the team that I was working on. But, I have since started working on my new team. Yay!

Double-battles are my favorite. So much strategy involved. >w<

OH and I got to read something that I though was cute while playing the new Pokemon Ranger game. So you're doing your Ranger thing and help out an Empoleon. Then you rest for the night and it apparently waited for you to get up and get your Ranger butt outside so it can show it's thanks for your help. Well in the Ranger game you have to take your stylus stick and make loops around the Pokemon to get your intentions of friendship across to the pokemon. And apparently the Empoleon had been running circles around everyone, mimicing what you did to help it out. biggrin.gif

Yeah I know....it shouldn't be cute. But I think it is. laugh.gif

Yeah it was funny. Your character comes outside and there's the Empoleon running in a small circle over and over again. And the one characters says they figure Empoleon was doing it to try and convey it's appreciation and so on. And then it's ' Hey isn't that what Rangers do when trying to convey their feelings of friendship'. I went into instant "AW, that's so cute!".

Oh the new Ranger game is neat. biggrin.gif I can't wait till you get it. XD

I'm getting White when the local import game store gets it in from Japan next month. XD; I was going to get Black, but a lot of my favorites released thus far are going to be White exclusives.

Well it's been forever and a day since I've posted period. But since I FINALLY went to GameStop since seeing the commercial last weekend that you can get Celebi if you go there. PLUS I reserved my copies of both Pokemon Black and White (yes I know it gets released tomorrow, but I like having a copy of each saved for me ^-^ ). So I'm in a very inner-child happy place because I now have Celebi on my Pokemon Soul-silver. Though I suppose I could have just put it on my Diamond game. Ah well, so question to the masses. Has anyone else went and gotten themselves Celebi? Now if only I could find a way to get my Mew off of my original Blue version... *sighs* ah well. laugh.gif

I almost threw a FIT in GameStop today because I thought the celebi event ended today and i had lent my DS to a friend so he could train for a pokemon release party on campus tomorrow (You're jealous, admit it).
I reserved white today and i felt REALLY silly doing it the day before it comes out. but i am SO excited for this new version

Way I see it, is granted the possibility of the new pokemon game being sold out by next payday in this town are slim. But my luck dictates....reserve it anyway. laugh.gif

Oh I got home and phoned my mom right away just to tell her I got Celebi. And she even remembered which Pokemon I was talking about because of the the Gamecube game Colosseum where you take all your Shadow Pokemon to that well and Celebi 'heals'/returns the pokemon back to normal. So then I went with her so she could get one as well. And the happy inner child in me had me periodically going "Biiii" for no reason at all except the fact that I was ecstatic that I got Celebi.

DeathOrVictory hopefully you still get the chance to get Celebi (I have my fingers crossed for you ^-^ ). And nope, sorry not jealous over the Pokemon release party, though I do hope that all whom attend it have a blast. biggrin.gif

EDIT: And I now have both the Black and White version. Though I wish my comp would play nice and share with the Wifi connection program like it used to.

Thanks for the luck. I got Celebi as I was waiting for GameStop to open yesterday. I kid you not, my roommates and I were the only females in that line. People stared. It was strange...

Would you be jealous of that release party if I told you they gave out copies of the game? Because they totally did. And I got my hands on one! The best part though was that our Students Event Team almost had a freak out because they expected maybe 40 people and 100 showed up.

Has anyone had a chance to put some time into their game yet? I just beat the first gym (tried to take Purrloin with me and he was hard to train) and so far I'm really having fun!

Sorry DeathOrVictory, still not jealous about the release party. I do have both versions. ^-^

I have started it now....but haven't gotten anywhere really due to how late it was when I started playing it. Turned it off so that I didn't fall asleep playing.

Though I must admit in the first town I like the combination of the Pokemart and Pokemon center being one building. That was nice. laugh.gif

Sorry it's so short...need to nap so I'm alive at work tonight. OH, maybe I'll take my DS to work and play it at lunch. Just a thought.
