Hey there! I just joined the group (obviously) and I'd like to introduce myself a little bit, if you'll allow me.

I'm Lindsey, but people either call me Linds or Peggy. I'm from Kansas, I'm 21, and I've been a fan of anime off and on for fourteen years. I used to watch Yu-Gi-Oh in the mornings when I was younger, but fell out of the fandom for a long time. Only about a year ago did I get back into anime, and it's been a cornerstone of my sanity ever since.

A lot of things happened during that year, and because of those things and because of my blooming love for anime, it's become very close to me. Which is why I'm so delighted to have been accepted as a Shadow Follower. Thank you so much for including me in this group, and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Anime is very important to everyone here. It is an escape for us when we're going through trouble. It's always here for us Don't you agree?

So, to get to know you better, I'm going to ask a few questions, ok?

First, how did you get back into anime after all those years?

I do agree; it's been both a refuge and a dear friend during hard times.

That's perfectly fine, I love answering questions. I got back into anime because I was browsing Hulu, and I saw that they had all five seasons of my favorite childhood anime. I started getting reacquainted with the fanbase, and eventually, I started writing fanfiction again. Through the fanfiction, I found my way to a roleplaying chatroom, where I roleplay as Maximillion Pegasus (That's where the nickname "Peggy" comes from). Funnily enough, one of the chatrooms we use the most is called the "Yu-Gi-Oh Host Club", modeled after the Ouran Host club.

I actually discovered our dearest Tatum through that chatroom. Last winter, we decided to start "Cosplay Friday" in the group, meaning that every Friday, our characters would cosplay as characters from another anime. One week, my friend suggested Black Butler, and asked me to be the Undertaker. I'd never heard of it before, so she showed me the opening sequence and Episode 4. Yes, my first introduction to Black Butler was the corset scene. I completely fell in love with it and watched both seasons in about four days. Fanfiction was started a week later.

However, only about three weeks ago did I discover Ouran High School Host Club. It was a long time coming, and I have no idea why I kept putting it off, but I regret doing so. That anime has changed my life. In fact, within our group, I'm usually the "resident psychiatrist", and I use what I've learned from Ouran in my pep talks.

It's tons of fun! I've been a writer for many years, as sort of a therapy. I've had to deal with depression, as well as the death of a parent, and for a while, I stopped writing. Anime got me started again, and RPing and fanfiction gives me a wonderful outlet for my negative emotions. If you'd like to read any of my stuff, let me know and I'll send you a link.

But yeah, I'll definitely check that out!

Yes, imagine my reaction when that came on the screen. Gotta love those subtle hints of yaoi. Those three are actually the only animes that I watch religiously, because I have a very obsessive personality, and if I involve myself with too many animes, the glory of it all might overwhelm me and completely take over my life. As wonderful as that would be, I have to be a responsible adult at least some of the time.
