Title: Tatum doing audio books?

Dramanerd08 - March 20, 2011 06:40 AM (GMT)
After watching a panel he did recently at a con a fan asked him to quote the Poem the Raven.

I thought wouldn't it be great if Tatum did Audio books? Maybe we can get him make a audio maybe through That anime show to read a fairy tale something short. Who is in?

Here is some stories online

totally in! i would listen to tatum read the phone book (but somehow i feel like he would end up telling a story before he completed the as...)

Erinne - March 20, 2011 06:52 AM (GMT)
Yay :) I'm in too!!!

:) This sounds like so much fun :)

I saw the comments in the chat box and thought this was great. I am in!
I'd love to hear Tatum recite something on TAS.

If it is mentioned that it is a request from a Shadow Follower, maybe he will do it

I have a book of the Grimm tales - just about all of them in one big book - and I know there are some really short ones. I'll try to find titles & info to add to the list of possibilities, if someone is really going to request this.

DeathOrVictory - March 21, 2011 02:59 AM (GMT)
I think we should send it in to TAS as a request from all who post here, we could call it a host request, an order from the young masters, and just a plead from the fan girls.

I like the idea of a Grimm tale but it can't be too long...otherwise it'll just turn into a podcast of tatum talking. wait, why is that a bad thing?

Dramanerd08 - March 21, 2011 01:52 PM (GMT)
Its not a bad things, I love to listen to him talk as do all of you but yes because have find a story that less then a page in half typed.

ForeverPurity - March 21, 2011 02:45 PM (GMT)
I wanna hear him read the Tale of the Three Brothers.

/nerd

Or Bappity Rabbit.

...ehe.

Dramanerd08 - March 22, 2011 03:30 AM (GMT)
There may be the possibility that they won't do this during TAS because they are the hosts and want to be polite maybe we can ask him at a shadow follower interview or something.

InsaneFeria - March 23, 2011 02:52 AM (GMT)
I'd love him to do an audio book of Hamlet in Sebastian's voice ^.^

Can't hurt to send in the request anyway, right? I mean, the worst they can say is no.

As for Tatum literally doing an audio book? That would be amazing. I'd actually buy whatever audio book he recorded just so that I could hear his voice.

Dramanerd08 - March 24, 2011 06:52 AM (GMT)
I just want him to read me story even its short.

Yeah, I'd definitely want to hear him read something from Tales of Beedle the Bard. Gosh, I love to hear that man talk, haha.

Willow314 - March 25, 2011 12:16 PM (GMT)
He could literally read the dictionary to me and I would listen with rapt attention. ^_^

SouthKoreaHetaliaFTW - May 8, 2011 09:24 PM (GMT)
I HAVE to hear him read a book now!!!!!

Agreed. He could read War & Peace, and I would listen to each and every single hour of it.

Also, responding to the first post--I was so impressed when he recited the first part of "The Raven" from memory. I know he said he was working in advertising when he was "tricked" into recording the first few episodes of Samurai 7, but does anyone know what he went to school for? I kind of wonder if it was English.

SuperSheba - June 13, 2011 07:31 PM (GMT)
I would DEFINITELY listen to an audio book if he read it. He has so much expression in his voice and it's so enjoyable to listen to...

Lizz - June 15, 2011 10:42 PM (GMT)
I would listen to any book, story, poem, etc, that he's willing to read. Hell he could read my history textbook..... I think I'd learn more from that than my actual teacher :P

ShadowGirl89 - June 20, 2011 09:46 PM (GMT)
I have to agree with everyone, that man could read Epics of Time (first six chapters are about an ant crossing the road) and it would be riveting! Let's do it, SF's! We should start a petition lol.

TheVampireLeigh - July 12, 2011 04:01 AM (GMT)
I vote he should do a chapter of 'A Tale of Two Cities' Can you imagine.... his distinguished Englishman voice...

shadowobsidian - July 12, 2011 04:21 AM (GMT)
I can think of soooooo many books that I'd love for him to read. But it might be fun to hear him read a romance novel or two. Nothing too racey, just something more...passionate. It'd be interesting, I think.

^_^ Hmm.... that sounds pretty good to me.

I tried hard to think about what I would prefer him to read in particular but I have to say, I would listen to simply everything.
I ‘ve seen that panel with the Poe poem and that really made me shiver.

My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, so I would love to hear him read that! But I would be up for anything as long as he voices it! I'd do anything for him to read an audio book. If it's a plea from his fans, I'm sure he'd do it :D

Lizz - August 28, 2011 11:19 PM (GMT)
He could always read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies... O.O that could be interesting

Beyond Birthday - September 4, 2011 05:35 AM (GMT)
He could read anything, but that would in fact be interesting :D

Lizz - September 4, 2011 05:38 AM (GMT)
True anything he might read would be interesting, especially if he used character voices

Beyond Birthday - October 9, 2011 03:26 AM (GMT)
Especially his Sebastian accent

But I think I'd prefer to hear him read something scary like Edgar Allan Poe or Dracula (in his Sebastian voice ;) )

Nix - July 14, 2012 03:22 AM (GMT)
It's true, anything by him would be an orgasm to the ears. But there would have to be some classics thrown in. Like Hamlet's soliloquy, Edgar Allen Poe and, of course, Tale of Two Cities!
