Well, things were kinda alright, but today, I got into a fight.
I can tell it's going where it went last time, even if it is a new school.
And, before today, i was kinda isolated. After last school, not being bullied every day was enough, but now I think and look. Not many people speak to me and Im not the type of guy who finds it easy to strike up conversation. I don''t get bullied (much) (until todays fight) but no one really speaks to me.
The fight today didn't help things, seen as my heads quite a bit sore, and I reckon my confidence is pretty much kaput to.
The "easy option" i suppose in all of this is to not go back, stay at home, learn at home and just retreat to my room most of the time. However, it's my standard grade (Scottish GCSE) year and I dont wanna miss anything, although I'm pretty good at remembering things and get good grades in most subjects.
If its alright, please could nobody suggest "stick through 7 or so months". Been there, done that and it went all pear-shaped in the end.
I dunno if another day is managable, I did to many of them last time round before the eventual last day.
Anyway, just typing that out, got it off my chest and venting the anger....

Ok, at home right now, as I didnt fancy being shouted and laughed at all day..
Depute Head phoned up and told mum that "more people were laughing at "X" than at me"
I ripped that story to shreads within seconds....
X is very popular, and I can't see many people laughing at a boy who has just being punching another person. More likely, they were laughing at me, and he's the type of guy that no one laughs at. I think the school are lying about that.
Can't decide whether to go in for meeting with these kids and depute. Get the feelign that If I do go to clases, I will be shouted at and laughed at as some teachers are late in to classes, others let us do work in groups and go into their offices.
I feel nervous about school now, and if the teachers say "well, everythings sorted", how do I explain I still can't go cos I'm nervous?

Aww, Mark, I'm really sorry you've got this to deal with again. That sucks.
I think your Depute Head needs some extra training - the fact that the school easily talk about bystanders laughing at those involved in fights, whether they get who it was directed at wrong or not, just shows something is wrong with the school, surely! Not mention they've let these kids get away with recording it...that would almost count as happy slapping, in a sense. Even if, theoretically, more people WERE laughing at the other person - it doesn't mean it's okay for you to be hit. But I do hope you weren't the one to start the fight...that would make things worse. Don't be a reactive victim if you can help it.
I know it's not the best advice, but I would say if it were me, I'd go into this meeting with the kids and the Depute because, if you're feeling like you can't handle school anymore then it can't get much worse!
About being nervous, I think the way I phrased it back then was, "I want to learn and get on with my education, but I feel I can't learn in that class/these classes..." Tell them that your nervousness means you can't concentrate properly and so when you are in class you're merely attending, not learning. Could you maybe say this to the Depute Head or a Guidance Teacher, after the meeting in private? Is there anything the school could do to help you?
