Long shadows fell over the pridelands as the sun sank below the Isis Valley. In the eastern part of the terrain it was already night and a soft breeze played about with the leaves on the trees and snaked its way through the grassed. Mueri took great delight in these grasses as she moved forward through these grasses, heading ever closer to the increasing darkness. Over head the moon shown brightly, giving the lioness a ghostly appearance as she walked. In truth, she was not an albino lion, her fur the light golden amber that was true for most of her kind. Now, the rest of her family, that was different. Both Sorcen and Silias had been albino lions, like their father. My dear Hiro Mueri thought shaking her head sadly. Why had he left her? Had there been a fight those many years ago? Dead or alive she didn't know, but she still hoped, hoping that one day her mate, old and grizzled would come loping over the hills in the distant, a graceful smile about his maw.

But reason caught up to the elderly lioness and she sighed deeply allowing the night air to refresh her lungs. No, he won't come back. He's dead and even if he's not he's with somebody else, she reminded herself as she continued on. Her cinimon gaze searched the surrounding grasses, as if she was looking for something, or someone. Finding nothing she continued, the dirt beginning to fade away as she neared the Sevit Edge. Moments later the grass died out completely and Mueri passed under two crooked trees, a gateway perhaps. Ahead of her was about 50 yards of solid rock before it gave away to nothing. Even at this distance Mueri's deafening ears could pick up the dull roar of the Yenka River, the divider of the lands.

Graceful bodice moved forward slowly, velvet paws silent on the rock terrain. Her head was held high and her tail was held somewhat higher than what is normally seen. Her optics moved from side to side, searching. As she reached the shelter of a solitary tree, just a mere yard or two from the edge she settled down onto her haunches. Tass flicked heavenwards before curling around her hindlimb. Optics still moved from side to side, searching for the abalastor form of her daughter, Silias. Settling back into the shadows she began to wait.

The days where just like moments turned to hours, slipping down the days and the nights like water down granite streams. The grass was damp with late night dew, collecting over the tan strands of grass that uncovered their heads from the earth. The rocky terrain coarse as her velvety white paws heaved in heavy motions forward. The grasses leapt from her path as a brisk breeze that ruffled past, meandering it’s way through the land. Ashen body slumped as velvet paws grinded against the granite, exhaling a sigh off the tip of her tongue. Muscles reached in an upward motion, tensing under her silky white, this young lioness was albino, the daughter of Mueri and sister of the ever high-lying Sorcen. Silas on the other hand held a fairly low-lying in the hierarchy, probably because her disability. Silas was blind. A rather tense wind had picked up, lashing the savannah trees in a violent manner. Leaves rustled on their verdant branches that withered with the one white eye in the crisp blue eyes of the sky. Scorched with white brands that drifted lazily over the blue.

Mighty skull toward upward towards the heavens, long neck elongated in a regal behavior. Rosy nostrils flared outward, Mueri. Her mother must be somewhere near by, deep red orbs murky, switching around in her skull. Not that anything but darkness came to her, but it mattered not. Neck cranked, paws shifting under her body as she cautiously moved amongst the rocky inclines. Weary drought her, dosing her in fear. Silas had time and time again proved that she was not just a mouth in need of feeding but also an elite warrior and a skilled hunter. Although the rocky inclines of Sevit Edge made her dreadfully vigilant. Muscles puffed, picking up speed. Paws clashing with the dirt and rock as she crossed down an incline, before racing back upward. A depression in the earth probably, nose flared. Paws where her eyes, although in exchange for her eyesight every other sense in her body had been enhanced. Equivalent exchange, it wasn’t for the better or the worse but oh how young Silas yearned to see the world around her. Even for a second. To see the color of the grass, the rock, the sky. Mother once explained to her what things looked like, but she didn’t know what color looked like. All she ever saw was black. On rare occasions when it rained, her eyesight returned, although everything was blocky and in black and white, she could see. That’s why Silas loved when it rained even faintly she could see the trees, the sky, the clouds, the grass, animals, anything.

Tail arched, chest expanding as the warm air filled her lungs. Muscles shifted in to a neutral state, positioning herself atop the depression and appearing to look out over the horizon. Nose was stretched up towards the sky, seeking for the rain but all that came was the cool rays of the moon. The fur along her spine ruffled and puffed upwards as the winds of the savannah ran through the lands. Kicking up sand and dirt along with it. Talons gripped the earth tightly, teetering on the edge of the depression. Body twisted gently, neck recoiling in a backward notion mighty jowls separating and her canines flushed with saliva and mighty vocal up roared, bubbling in to a might bellow of calling. Tassel flicked behind her, paws shifting. alerting her mother of her standpoint.

...In Character...

Mueri had early fallen asleep by the tree, her graceful crania relaxing on her neatly folded paws. Her body was curled inwards, her tail resting up by her side. Her lean sides moved in and out steadily though occasionally they stopped abruptly as her breath was caught in her lungs. But it always sorted itself out and Mueri went on living, though even as she slept she knew it would not be long before this stopped. For almost half an hour she slept under the tree, the cool wind running over her thin frame causing shivers to run up her spine. Rather unusual it was, to see a lion shivering, especially when during the day the temperature got up to the 90s'. But Mueri was getting older and her body was loosing its fat fast. She was more likely to shiver because of her age and that was it.

The elderly lioness slept peacefully waiting the arrival of both Sorcen and Silias. She wanted to speak to them, to see how they were doing. She wanted, no, needed to know how her children were doing. Silias she had seen recently but she could not caress her child like she so longed to do, nor could she watch her two children romp and play together like they should. No, it was their secret. The secret that the three of them alone shared. Only they knew of the identical blood that ran in each of their viens. But people had guessed. The family of albino lions, well just siblings that is, had not gone unnoticed. But never had anything been proved and it was doubtful that until the last remains of the old lead male been destroyed it would be proved. Sighing in her sleep Mueri suddenly opened her eyes as a low roar made its way to her.

Yawning she sat upright, her body a little stiff. It was getting harder and harder to awaken after every nap she had, her muscles no longer wanted to move upon command and her joints were stiff. Struggling to her feet she ignored the interal pains that age wrought against her. Staring off into the distance she noticed the long white shape. The head was free of a mane so Mueri knew it to be her beloved daughter. Smiling Mueri moved towards the younger lionesses, her velvet pads making no noise upon the hard terrain below her. As she moved closer she could almost feel her daughter's gaze upon her, but Mueri knew that this was not true. Silias had been born blind and she would remain that way. She had told Mueri that occasionally, during the rain, her sight seemed to be returned to her. It was a blessing from Mother Nature and Mueri thanked the Lady every time her daughter mentioned this fact.

Going closer Mueri paused as she neared about three feet from her daughter. Movin her crania forward she licked the other's ear, an affectionate guesture. "Silias, my dear girl" Mueri murmmured as she fell to her haunches, her tas moving up next to her flanks. She smiled at her daughter even though she knew that her daughter would not see it. But the happiness radiated from Mueri's body at the sight of her only daughter and it would be hard to miss, even if you were blind.

The prime-aged Silas had continued amongst moving, powerful strides lengthening over the dirt track. Movements where strong and willful, body muscles tense as she loped. The terrain was undeniably rocky, occasionally damp grasses brushed her legs. Birds where aroused from their mid-afternoon nap and she could almost feel the gaze of animals around her burning their gazes at her, scorching through her sensitive white pelt and rose skin. A frown was apparent on Silas’s darkened lips as she slowed her stride to a steady saunter. Every muscle in her body burning with a deep passion, a passion they could not fulfill. Stiff joints crackled with every steadied movement, a sign of the heat of the day. The white rays of the scorching sun burned through her coat swiftly, rosy skin was burned, and her joints felt as if they where overheated machinery.

Red tongue hung from between her canines, damp with saliva and stained with old smears of blood. A ripple of pause erupted down her life-sprung cadaver as the scent of her mother drew closer in to her nostrils. Snorting gently as he stride picked up to a trot yet again. Ivory ashen pelt was dampened with sweat from the heat as her legs continued to move. Paws beating gently over the savannah dirt and rock, causing small dust clouds puff out behind her. ”Hmm,” Mind roared with curiosity, thick ears perking atop her cranium as she continued at a steady pace, nose wrinkling as she sensed her way through the terrain. Upon occasion she would stumble over a rock or a log, but seemed to cope pretty well in her surroundings. Breathing was deep, paws forcing her to slow to a saunter. Body was beginning to scorch with heat. Even if she was a lion that was meant to be resistant to the heat of the land, pink skin was not a superior opt to have. The sound of her mother’s body shot Silas’s attention towards her left, paws maneuvering her in that direction. The frown flipped to become a pleasant smile, thick tassel flicking with a sign of welcoming as the smell of sounds of her mother became undeniable brawny. It was when she could hear the steady breath of the elder that she knew her destination had be reached, and relieving it was. Auds where drooped slightly and sweat was beginning to humidify her coat even further. Silas, unlike a lot of blind lions and lioness, was fortunate enough to have eyesight that would return to her during the rain. During the monsoon season where rains seemed constant for several weeks her eyesight was crisp and clear. Not in color, but as crisp as any and during this short time period she lived her life to the fullest and rarely ever slept.

Silas returned to notion with a gently lick to Mueri’s left cheek, nodding her crania gently. ”Good afternoon Mum, did I arose you?” Silas questioned as she too settled on her haunches, yawning widely, tongue swiping over her jowls casually. The warmth of a family member, especially a mother was close and it calmed Silas. It would calm any grizzly lion. It was just nice to feel the warmth and loved swarming around you.

Twins rotated on Mueri's pale skull and she turned as her daughter spoke. Smiling briefly Mueri continued to groom her daughter, her strokes light and gentle. She saw her daughter smile and behind her Mueri's tail swished in the grass below. The moon was rising now sending battered rays of moonlight everywhere. One caught on Silias and Mueri could only stare in awe at the way the light hit her already moonwashed daughter. Her fur was the color of snow, the crisp white powder that Mueri had only ever seen once in her life. But bathed in moonlight it caused her now clean coat to shimmer and Mueri felt a sense of pride rise up within her. Her daughter was gorgeous, regardless of her handicap. Unfortunately others didn't think so. Sighing slightly Mueri answered, her voice soft and gentle. "No my love, you didn't. I wanted to have a talk with you and your brother" she answered, her gaze once more turning to the surrounding grasses to look for Sorcen. Where had that boy gotten to? Mueri chuckled to herself. One could hardly call her son a boy. He was a large lion, one of the largest in all of Kyotu she expected. But that was only to be natural, him being a lead male and all. Chuckling Mueri turned back to her snow colored daughter.

"You've been well yes? No problems or anything?" Mueri asked, stressing problems. As a cub other lions in the pride had often picked on Silias because of her handicap and Mueri wanted to make sure that nothing of the sort was happening at the moment. Though some would proboably talk about the two lionesses behind their backs they had never been able to say it to Mueri's or Silias's faces without fearing for thier lives. That was one advantage of having a lead male as a brother and a son, you were treated with the highest respect, that is, if the pride knew. Sighing slightly Mueri relaxed down to her stomach, head resting neatly on her cream colored paws.

The air was fresh and crisp she could feel it spill down her throat like a cool drink from a clear river during the hot savannah sun. It was a strange feeling, being blind; she could see things just not through her eyes. The glossy pallid female was well aware of nightfall the soft beams of moonshine felt chilled over her body while the sunshine was warm. Silas’s body was well attuned to the weather patterns even the slightest change in the temperature could be detected by the lioness. The rough tongue of her mother continued to groom her face as she returned the favor graciously with her own rosy tongue, tenderly grooming the elder’s chin. A sense of relaxation rippled over the area like a wave of water. All the muscles in Silas’s body fell at rest as her mother’s temperate fur brushed her rosy snout. ”Oh, Sorcen? I haven’t smelt him all day,” Normally, Silas would smell faint traces of him lingering around the land but today she did not. Then again, she spent most of today off near the boundary lines of the pride. It was strange how both Sorcen and Mueri, along with her father that she never knew, where all good size and large meanwhile Silas was born relatively petite. Just skimming standard size if not smaller then many lionesses. Sorcen towered above his sister and Silas could feel his warm breath running down her spine whenever he got close.

”I’ve been okay, I haven’t seen much of anyone today. With the exception of you, most of my time has been spent at the boarders,” smile broadening, at least she wasn’t alone. If she didn’t have Sorcen and Mueri at her aid the upper-ranking lionesses would use her for a punch bag. Even if Silas could hold her ground against one opponent, several were much too any lone lionesses to handle. Although, even with the pride leader and a respected leader there was times where young Silas was beaten up and bruised. Ruby red eyes mitigated in her skull a sense of pride welling deep within her chest dipping her solid crania. Although the secret of their threesome family was kept secret from the entire pride and had been a secret for quite some time, which Silas couldn’t piece together why they had kept it a secret but she kept her word and never told a soul. Not like anyone would ever deem the petite handicapped female.

I reject your reality

Sorcen breathed in deeply, allowing the crisp night air to pierce his lungs. He smiled and behind him his tas moved lightly. He felt young again, like going on a run that would last forever. The stars twinkled above him, thier dim light seemingly giving him strength to do well....anything. His soft gray eyes twinkled with excitement as he moved forward through the long grass. Their scents were full of life and enjoyment, well at least Silias's was. His mother...Sorcen shuddered. A day had not gone by in recent memory that she had aged before his eyes. Her time would come and soon. Sorcen sighed gently as he moved forward. But even the thought of his mother's absence could not destroy his sense of happiness at being alive under the stars.

It did not take long before the large male made out the two siluottes of the femoras in the moonlight. For a minute or two he merely stood back and admired. Mueri, his beloved mother, sat regally, the moonlight catching her cinnemon eyes, causing them to dance. It played off her tan fur, turning it the color of home spun gold thread. But even at this distance he could see the signs of her age, the white beard that hung from her chin and the lean sides that would soon loose all body fat they had once held. Sighing he turned his gaze to his pale sister. Silias and Sorcen could of passed for twins when they were cubs, save for his gray eyes and her red ones. Both the palest of whites their pelts were both exagerated in the pale glow of the moonlight. But his sister, she just look like royalty. The moonlight made her fur sparkle and seem full of life. Smiling he moved forward purposefully through the grasses towards them.

As he approached he dipped his head curtly before nuzzling Mueri lightly. Turning to his sister he tugged at her ear gently before sitting down beside her. "What can I do for you ladies?" Sorcen asked, mock charm entering his voice. Behind him his tail swished showing his good intent. Smiling he turned his gaze towards Mueri. Even though he was a lead male there were others who would not appreciate to know of the three's relationship. Should Mueri take the risk of the three of them meeting it had to be about something important.

Mueri's head tilted to the side slightly as she listened to her daughter's reply. A quizzical expression fell over her features. ”I’ve been okay, I haven’t seen much of anyone today. With the exception of you, most of my time has been spent at the boarders." The borders? Why should she go to the borders? Looking for lone lions to hopefully join thier steadily growing pride? Before Mueri could ask her daughter though a strong scent wafted towards her and she turned her head well aware of what she would see.

Bathed half in shadow and half in moonlight her son stood not far away. His gray eyes were focused on them and Mueri noted the look of admiration he held for his younger sister. She smiled and behind her her tail flicked in happiness. That was something most never saw, the brother's admiration for one's sister. But Sorcen had always been the type of lion to watch out for Silas. She smiled in happiness and rose from her flanks to greet him. Before she could move though the brute came forward, his skin like the waves as it rolled over his mucled body. Mueri smiled again as he bid them a greeting, his mock charm bringing a chuckle to her throat. "Sorcen, it is good to see you" she murmmured nuzzling her son gently. Falling back down onto her haunches she remained silent for a moment, content with just staring at her two beloved children. Silas and Sorcen.

But at last she forced herself to awake from her reverie and shook her head. Rising it again she looked at both of them in the eye. "Sorcen, Silas, you both know that it becomes harder and harder for me to live as the days continue. 11 years ago I was born upon this earth and for 11 long years I have seen others go before me. Soon it will be my time, my turn. Once I do pass on, you two will have to look out for each other" Mueri explained rising off her haunches once more. She turned away from the two and padded some feet away from them. Opening her mouth she continued speaking, her gaze locked on the moon and her voice soft and gentle. "You will have to watch out for each other, as well as little Milaika. When she is old enough you must tell her, for she deserves to understand, she deserves to know why. When she becomes a fully fledged lioness and has made her first real kill, she will find out. She will understand and she too will carry on the legacy until the last of our threats are gone." Her voice faded and she murmmured something unaudible under her breath. Sighing gently she turned her head to face the two lions before her.

Ooc::; This will be a poor post, I’m having a roleplaying slump today but I don’t want to keep you waiting.

Ic::; Scarlet orbs rippled with the shimmering moonlight, lightless gaze wearily shifting the approaching creature. First instinct was to go defensive, although all troubles oozed through Silas’ brain as Sorcen’s distinct smell flushed her nostrils. Pallid white figure slackening as her brother drew nearer, trademark smirk curving along the darkened corner of her lips, tips of pearly white canines shimmering with saliva in the moon’s energy. Paws shifted over the tan earth, a soft sigh escaping Silas’ jowls, as she stood tall and regal alongside Mueri. Auds that rested at the side of skull slowly lurching in a forward motion to perk upward and listen intently to her oncoming brother, ”Good evening, Sorcen,” Crania feeling the gravity as it slowly dipped towards the earth with a deepened admiration for the brute. The soft tug on her ear made her smirk broaden joyfully, chest puffing with a deep inhale. Now that all happiness of reunion had passed, something must be abruptly coming like a tsunami to the sand. Red orbs shifted in Mueri’s direction, curiously challenging her knowledge as the words came from the elder’s mouth.

Although the news did not upset her, lions where born, and lions died. It was part of the cycle, it was how everything worked…equivalency. Happiness is only achieved with hard work; you can only live if you die. A miracle would be to walk on water, fly in the sky, but a real miracle is to walk on the earth.

”I have little to give Sorcen that he does not already possess, he has strength, will power, and family.” a soft chuckle seizing her lips, ”It is I who need him.” tassel lashing behind her nonchalantly, stirring up a petite cloud of dust, she didn’t mind the fact that she was as dependant on others as she was, it wasn’t her fault she didn’t choose to be born disabled. Milaika? Yes, that little joy of fur was a break from life for Silas. She enjoyed the young cub’s presence, it was soothing, carefree, and most important it was bravery. Huh. Damn, if only Silas was similar but she was shy and anti-social, for superior reasons of course.

I reject your reality

Gray hued optics surveyed the lean form of Mueri with intrest. He knew what she wanted to talk to them about. As the days moved by it seemed to him that the elderly lioness was becoming more and more obsessed with her death. He himself chose to not think about it. He would mourn heavily when she did pass on, but life would continue. Her spirit would continue to live on, through Silas, through Maliaka, through himself. Her memory would be remembered forever. It was she who had first descovered these beautiful lands and had lived through the war to tell the tale of the dividing of the prides. It amused him slightly that she had been taken into the pride who had originally been led by Amorkon who had led the pride to the Meset borders to destroy them. But that had been many years ago, almost two before Sorcen and Silas had been born. Sighing slightly he lifted his head as he watched Mueri pad away from them. He shot a knowing glance to his sister before he to rose off his haunches and moved towards her.

He stood at her side, his gaze so much like Hiro's that it chilled Mueri slightly and for a moment she could see the rippling white fur fade to the deepest of auburns. She breathed in deeply and nuzzled her son, as though she was reaching out to Hiro. Sorcen felt her touch and he chuckled slightly. "Relax mother. You will see him again" he whispered to her. As he spoke these words his ears rotated on his skull as his sister's sweet voice washed over him. He chuckled and turned his head to her. "You don't need me to survive Sis. You have happiness and a carefree attitude. You don't have to watch your back everytime you walk by another male" he joked though seriousness slipped into his tones. It was true. Lately he had been careful and somewhat more dominant than he ususally was. Maybe it was because this year he had a daughter who was easy prey for the strength of a brute? No, that wasn't it, though he had been careful when watching his daughter. Mueri had watched her a couple of times for him. Sighing he lifted his head, his white mane sweeping back over his shoulders. He closed his eyes, enjoying the cool night breezes. "Have either of you seen her? Milaika that is?" he asked quietly, opening his eyes to wait for the responses of the two femoras.

A knowing smile passed over Mueri's maw and behind her tass twiched in the manner of a wagging tail. Her twins perked as she heard Sorcen rise and come towards her and she couldn't help but smile as he whispered those words to her. Sweet sweet Sorcen. What could one do without him? Sighing she chuckled as Silas spoke and she turned her head to face the abalastor femora. "My dear Silas" Mueri said moving towards her daughter. "Do not allow your brother's rank to mess with you. Without you he'd be the loneliess(sp?) lion out here, as would Miliaka" she finished, motherly tones soothing and comforting rather than scolding.

Crania turned and she faced Sorcen once more as his own words about his daughter were spoken. She shook her head slightly before speaking. "No my boy, I don't say that I have. She must be around here somewhere though" she said her eyes immediately looking over the savannah as if looking for the form of the young cub. But alas there was no sign of the young female and Mueri sighed in deeply. She lifted her head to the large brute and she spoke, her words a mere whisper. "You should go find her, it's not safe for her to be out alone". Her tone was serious and her eyes flashed and the tension increased slightly. Sorcen could merely nod his head before turning to his sister. He nuzzled her lightly before nuzzling Mueri. When he had said his good-byes to both females he dipped his head curtly and moved off across the savannah to find his daughter. - Sorcen has left.-

Mueri watched with interest as the great white brute bounded in the direction of the cove to search for his daughter. She smiled slightly before turning her head to Silas. "Should we go help him?" she asked simply.

A collected look flushed Silas’s pale figure as she sat lofty and pompous, a regal stance to say the least about the poor-fated lioness. Her vast red eyes searching the horizon, which was clenched with darkness, ’I wish to see, Mother Nature.’ her mind screamed out, ’Colors, what are colors? All I see is darkness, I’m in a slumber that I can never wake up from…Alone, I can’t even see my mothers face.’ and angry creature dug it’s talons in to her brain, making her exhale a frustrated sigh, shaking her mighty crania. Why was she always the victim? Proof that Mother Nature did have a sense of cruel humor. Mueri’s presence approached, making her head shift in her mother’s direction, ”Mother,” a smile stretching over her maw, ”I’m okay, dominant male he may be but he is much to soft to ever hurt anyone. I do not feel intimidated by him or his rank.” she stated simply, tassel beating the earth in a calming manner. ”Yes, lonely. I’ll be lonely when any of my family dies. Sorcen, you, Miliaka, I do not wish to think about it.” a frown replacing her over-all happy appearance.

”Nor have I, brother, I was walking the boarders all afternoon,” Silas replied simply, nudging his powerful neck with the tip of her nuzzle, ”But Mueri is right, you should find her. I don’t trust some of the males around these lands.” Maybe she didn’t trust them because the abused her, beat her and oh how she feared breeding season. Only once has she been in heat, last season and she remembered hiding in fear. She could not care for cubs, but the relentless abuser males didn’t seem to mind they would breed her anyways for the shear pleasure of watching her suffer. Damn them, one day she would kill them, kill them all. The tingling feeling of his muzzle brushing her chin relaxed her trouble mind, hearing his paws beat against the earth and a smile curving her jowl line, ”I love him.”

Mueri spoke again, perking her interest, ”Yeah!!” she agreed cheerfully, leaping upward to her paws and spinning in a quick circle to show her enthusiasm. Auds perking atop her cranium, oh how she loved helping her brother.

...In Character...

A smile broke over Mueri's face and she stretched lazily. She watched as her daughter pranced around in excitement. She chuckled and joined in her daughter's rompings. Rising up onto her back legs she used her forelimbs to playfully shove Silas over into the grass. Chuckling Mueri did a semi flip landing with a thud next to her daughter. She pawed playfully at the stars, her velvet paws making no noise as they whisked through the air. She felt at peace right then, sitting there staring up at the heavens. Sighing gently Mueri rolled onto her side and regained her feet. Glancing down at her daughter she spoke. "We should go then" she explained. Stretching again she playfully tugged at Silas ears before setting off at a lope across the savannah grasses.

As she loped swiftly through the grass Mueri felt her feelings and thoughts take flight. Like an eagle they flew soaring over the land bound creatures below. As a young cub Mueri had always wanted to fly, to soar to the stars and allow her troubles to take wing. But of course she had never been able to. The closet she had gotten was lounging on the branch of a tree staring up through the leaves into that vast expanse of blue beyond. But still, even now as she ran through the grasses to help her son to search for his daughter she felt the urge to soar to the stars. To become one with the heavens to stare down from the great height and find the small patch of brown fur that was her grand daughter. Chuckling slightly Mueri cast one more look over her shoulder to see if Silas was coming before continuing on her way.

Silas did like-wise, stretching her mighty body out. Feeling the power of her muscles ooze outward and painlessly tingle. The sound of Mueri's velvet paws against the earth was pleasing, see? Her mother still had life within her. The elder Mueri still had a good long time in front of her before passing in to the realm of the dead. Even when she did, Silas would not be upset for her mother's soul would always soar with her when she galloped. The wind in her fur, the sunshine on her face, and the rain that provided a guiding light...this was her mother. Mueri's blood pounded through Silas's veins, every moment of everyday, of every year, for eternity. Shoulder's stretched as she romped in circles, paws merrily beating the earth in frantic but collective movements, "Yes, let us go." she agreed, the soft tug at her auds enlightening within her soul...Mothers. They where such a wonderful gift.

Silas followed Mueri's footsteps in glorious, lengthy strides. The wind soaring against her body, pressurized against her stride. Ashen coat glimmering against the moonlight, stray beams radiating off her powdery pelt. Prideful red orbs glowering, sparkling with pride. Chest inhaling the chilly night atmosphere air. Tassel beat against her hocks behind her as she galloped.

To fly the sky, was a miracle. To walk on water, was a miracle. But for Silas being able to see in the rain was a miracle or to run in the night was a miracle. Pain, pain was something that told her she alive. Pain, she enjoyed it. Since she couldn't see that she was still amongst the living she had to feel it. As if on que a branch struck against her front limbs engaging her body as she stumbled downward. Gravity tugging at her body as she hit the earth with a mighty thump of her bones crackling against the dirt. Blood seeped at small surfaces scrapes she recieved while tumbling towards earth grunting faintly. The warm liquid spilling down the left side of her cheek as she wearily stood. Being blind was the worst possible sin to ever posess. Slowly, she reared to her haunches and trotted after her mother.

-Silas left-
