Kaine isn't quite six foot tall but he's close. He has a lean build that is nothing but muscle and when he takes his shirt off you can tell just that. He has sculpted pecs and abs and upper arms, however he isn't overly muscular like a body builder. It's easy to see that he keeps himself rather fit. His skin tone is one that's a richly tanned one as he spends a good deal of time outdoors, be it for training, missions or personal leisure. When on missions he wears military issue black ops dress that is standard for all SCIU agents. When not on missions his color scheme doesn't really change that much. Black and gray tends to be all he has now in terms of pants, shirts and tanktops. He doesn't really care much about style, it's all about comfort and mobility for him. He's not one to fuss over his outward appearance either. Sometimes going a few days before shaving and having stubble on his chin isn't something new for him.

General Personality: Kaine is a very focused individual. He is also very dedicated and a very loyal man to those he feels he can trust. Earning that trust however is something else entirely. Especially now. Since his daughter's death-- nay, murder, he's become jaded, bitter and somewhat cynical. Since then he's only become married to his new job that he was recruited for several months laters. He is a fighter from the word go. When he's given orders and he sets his sights on something there is little to nothing that can stop him from carrying them out. He's stubborn as a mule and quite unmovable. Under his tough exterior though he does have a heart. Even if he doesn't show it all the time. He has quite a soft spot for children as he lost his own daughter. Just because he works for the SCIU doesn't mean he hates all abnormals. But he does have a real big hate on for HAPS. Mostly because of his past and he isn't afraid to share why he thinks abnormals are dangerous with others and when they're dangerous they need to be put down for everyone's sake.
Kaine Stark was born in Dublin, Ireland to an Irish mother and an American father. He spent the first six years of his life living in Ireland until his father, a military man, was transfered and they moved to Germany. Thus began the start of his traveling as a child and technically the beginning of his journey on learning so many different languages. He was a typical military brat growing up. He made friends easy enough with other kids that lived on the base and tended to be in the same situation he was. Having to pick up and haul off when his father's assignment changed. He did get to see the world at a young age and that, looking back was something he'll always cherish.
He did have a slight rebelious streak when he was a teenager. Then again what teenager doesn't get that way? Wanting to push boundries and their parents buttons and see just what they can do and get away with. Though he was never really what one would consider a "bad" kid. Roudy at times but he was never one the kids getting hauled home by the cops or the MP's. He did get into boxing during his teenage years which also lead him into the martial arts which he fell in love with. He also joined the ROTC during his high school years, intent to follow his father into the Military. Though it was also during his senior year that he met the young woman that won his heart, Epione de Mar.
He signed with Army when he was eighteen. Following his father into the Army partly out of wanting to make him proud and partly because it was something he wanted to do anyway. He spent eight months at boot camp before he was sent home with rave reviews from his Staff Sergents. He spent six months at home wooing Epione more and going to work at the little dinner his parents had bought. He shipped out again to begin his training for the Army Rangers, but not before proposing to Epione who said yes.
He spent the course of the next two years going through training and being off duty for short periods of time until he was finally done. He was a well honed fighting machine. Schooled in many forms of combat and warfare. When he was done with his training he went home and married Epione in a small intimate ceremony.
Fastforward several years down the road and Kaine is a decorated Officer now. Epione just gave birth to their daughter Rebecca, however due to a complication during childbirth she passes away. This leaves him a single father. His parents help watch her during his last three years of active duty before he finally goes onto a reserve listing. He comes back home to finish raising his daughter and begins working with one of his friends in construction.
His world changed though about three months after Rebecca's eighth birthday. They were over at his parents house when a shattering window woke them up. He met his father in the hall going down to see what it was. He and his father went downstairs to check it out. He found the large bay window broken and then came the scream that still haunts his nightmares. Rebecca's. Both rushed up the stairs and the scene they saw. It's burned into Kaine's memory, his little girl ripped to shreads and a beast hovering over her.
His father moved in and started shooting and the thing turned on him and slashed at him. He seemed to snap too at that and moved in, firing rounds into one of the beasts legs to try to imobilize it. All it did was piss it off. It knocked him into a wall and came at him, biting down on his shoulder before he emptied his gun into the beasts stomach. It pulled away and tried to crawl away only to die in the hallway.
It was only an hour after that people dressed all in black came swarming in the house. That was his introduction to the SCIU. He buried his father and his daughter three days later and a week after the incident the SCIU came to him with an offer. To hunt down creatures like the one that had killed his family, but he'd have to follow orders. Some needed to be caught for study. Some needed to be detained. But there were some cases that would need to be... put down and he more than adequate skills for that. He's been with the SCIU since it's inception and is their most senior field agent.
