Michael looked around the room, very slowly. Nothing in here seemed exactly “Kid-Friendly.” The bed itself didn’t have very comfortable sheets, either. He looked around, his eyes slightly empty. He just didn’t know what to think about this. When those two people showed up, Michael was apparently in a bad state. He couldn’t remember much of it, but apparently his…thing got out of control again. Michael looked at the tattoos on his body and traced them slowly, stopping as he got to yet another bandage wrapped around some hurt part of his body. Right now, it didn’t hurt so much as itch. He tugged a bit at the bandages, wanting to take them off pretty badly. They were uncomfortable, and the reason that he was here. Most likely when they were off he could try and get to his home. See if they’d found any of his friends…

He shook the thought from his head and let himself look down at his outfit. It was probably given to him by that lady. She was nice…and he rather liked her. Michael touched the t-shirt, which was just a bit large for him because of really how skinny he was. Slowly, Michael pulled it off and looked at himself, the normal image of the tattoo, or normal for him, that stayed on his stomach was unable to be viewed because of the large bandage over it. He touched the bandage and winced…but it still itched. He tugged at the bandages a little bit in annoyance, even like he didn’t understand them.

This assumption would actually be another correct thing to have thought up. Michael was not used to all the different materials and things that were used up here, and he still couldn’t even begin to fathom what the purpose of making this wound itch so much was. True, he’d probably been told when he was in his semi-concious state, but the helpless little boy couldn’t remember even that. He touched the sheets again and then slowly lifted them off himself. He couldn’t see the wounds on his legs…he was wearing a pair of pajama bottoms. So, those came off too. And he was basically left there in just a pair of undies.

He stared down at his legs, looking confused. The tattoos were messed up because of scratches, but he knew that even when scar tissue might form, they’d come back. His mother told him that nothing he could do would make them go away. Nothing at all. So, he knew that it was probably true. His mother…and his father. Both of them were gone. And these people up here spoke in strange languages. No one would be able to understand him…and the words and the way people spoke them was weird. He wouldn’t even try to imitate them in any way. He didn’t want to talk. To recognize his own voice and bring back all the nightmares that were keeping him up.

He picked at one of the un-bandaged area’s that had already scabbed over, and it slowly started to bleed again. His eyes widened at this and he made a small noise of discomfort, covering the bleeding area with the sheet he’d previously pushed off himself. He looked towards the ground next to the side of the bed and slowly moved a leg out to touch it. The cool feeling of the ground in here was a smoother surface, and felt rather good on his feet. He put the other foot down as well, but when he tried to stand up, his knees buckled and he fell to the ground. Michael stayed there, terrified now. Everything was suddenly a lot larger and scarier in comparison. The lights flickered in the room…just a little bit. Not enough to really cause any damage or anything, or to even cause his eyes to turn to that blue state. But…it was enough to show a bit of anxiety.

Now that things were settling down in the New Sanctuary and everyone had made themselves at home Helen was trying to deal with her new patients and at the same time locate a few that went missing. Wolf and Evelyn had been out when the incident happened and more concerning Evelyn had gone missing even before the explosion. With her condition and her talents she was a danger to herself and others. Worst of all she was the perfect target for SCIU. For the past week and a half Helen had been in contact with all her sources asking them to report even the smallest activity back to her and still there was no sign. How could you completely lose a teenage girl? "Are you sure?" Helen asked still sounding a little concerned. Hopefully SCIU hadn't gotten their claws on her already. That poor girl had been through enough to be turned into another slave.

"I understand, just...keep searching." She didn't even bother saying goodbye, just hung up her phone and looked out her office window. She couldn't linger on this too long, there was a child here now who needed her help. Nikola and she had only just brought him in the day before and there were plenty of questions she had to ask him. The boys powers were extraordinary there was no question of that. He had caused at least eight black outs and when they found him he was covered in cuts and gashes. The poor thing had been in rough shape but after a few stitches and some bandages and pain killers he would be good as new in no time. Remembering how frightened he had been the night before Helen had asked someone to pick up something very special for her. Sitting on her desk was a little brown bear with a red bow around it's neck. Sometimes when the children who came to the Sanctuary found it hard to adopt to it while the recovered she tried to get them something comforting like a toy or even for some of the younger ones a 'special' blanket that when ties across your shoulders made you a super hero.

The blanket had always worked for Henry as a child but the problem had been trying to make him take it off before school. Grabbing the bear off her desk Helen left her office and went down two floors to where the rooms were where they kept recovering patients. Holding the bear in one hand she dialed in the numbers to the patients quarters. The 'sick bay' was always on lock down, less so for patients getting out and more so for someone else trying to get in. Helen had to be cautious and security was tighter than it had ever been before. SCIU was trying to take whatever they could get and the rebellion was recruiting whoever they could. Helen stood her ground, defended abnormals and at all costs. No one was coming to the Sanctuary again and turning this place of safety into a nightmare.

When the doors slid open Helen crossed over to the room where the boy was being kept. She stopped at the handle noting the lights in the hallway flickering, something was wrong. Quickly she opened the door seeing him on the ground. Had he fallen from bed? Was he hurt? Were his powers taking him over again? Helen reacted quickly throwing the bear down on the bed and got down on the floor picking him up and dragging him into her lap. Rocking him gently she brushed the hair from his face and tried to calm him down. "It's alright I'm here." She tried to assure him he was safe. Pulling the sheet over him so he wouldn't get cold Helen cursed herself for leaving him alone. She should have stayed with him, should have waited for him to wake up rather than leave him to wake up in a strange environment. Holding the boy close to her chest she hoped he could recover and more so that he wouldn't go into shock.

He was shaking by the time Magnus had arrived, scared out of his mind. In fact, he’d nearly wet himself. True enough such reactions for people waking up in a hospital weren’t normally that severe, but the whole scenario surrounding Michael’s arrival here was enough to cause this. He’d been on the surface just for a little while, and even then he’d been outside. The insides of these buildings and others were different, the outside was different than his outside, and he didn’t even know where this was. Well sure, he’d probably been told as soon as he was brought here, but his memory was shot in this horrible moment of absolute fear of everything around him. The entire room seemed to be closing in on him as well.

The worst part of this entire waking up experience was being alone. He was utterly alone, without mommy or daddy to tell him that they’d be right back. None of his friends down the street would come and talk to him, and he wouldn’t be able to find them either, because there were scarier things near where he came out, and a lot scarier people with weapons and things. He’d looked. Michael sniffed just a little bit, pulling in some dribbling bits of a runny nose as his eyes started to water. The stages of crying progressing even more as he started to hiccup. His skinny body was forced to jump just slightly with each one of them. Then a few sobs as tears ran down his eyes. It was scary. It was really really scary.

And then of course…salvation came. It came in the form of the door being opened. True, this door opening thing kind of made his heart skip a few beats and he tried to clutch onto the ground, shaking even more as he heard a person approach…and he then looked over to see that woman. That one whose face was foggy in Michael’s memory, but the one who’d come and got him. He stared up at her with his big, blue eyes for a moment as she pulled him into her lap, and then his face slightly screwed up as he let himself cry, cuddling into her. He held onto her tightly, still shaking even with the added sheet. He was definitely terrified, and his body was showing this fear, and he was taking quick, shallow breaths, nearly having a panic attack.

He put his head down on the woman’s chest, his legs curling up a bit to get himself in a little ball position. Michael’s breath slowly started to return to its’ even pace, but he was clutching onto Magnus like she was the only thing keeping him physically here at the moment. After all, she was comforting and she came here when he was feeling really sad like his mommy did. Michael sniffled a little bit, his nose still running and a few hiccups still echoed through his body. His bandages were also messed up and a little bit painful from his nights sleep…he was none too happy that there were there, either, and there was evidence of him pulling at some of them to try and remove them.

The boy had curled up into her lap clinging to her for dear life. It reminded her so much of Henry when he had first come here. So many children Helen had saved and found new homes for them but Helen couldn't manage to part herself from Henry. Rather then find him a home for abnormal children Helen took him under her wing and raised him as her own. He had clung to her just like this after he had learned to trust her. Henry wrapped his arms around her neck and sobbed, he couldn't speak but through his tears she understood what he meant to say. Eventually Henry grew up and forgot his life before Helen. He just assumed she had always been there for him and had always taken care of him so why bother trying to remember others who hadn't cared?

Combing her hand through his hair Helen tried to calm him down so she could change his bandages. They desperately needed to be changed to prevent infection. "It's alright, you're safe now. You'll be just fine." She could hear he had a little hiccup from crying and thought maybe that was her way to get him to settle down. Perhaps she could even make him crack a smile or at least she wanted him to. It was very stressful as an adult to be taken in by the Sanctuary unwillingly, waking up in a strange room, not knowing what could possibly be going on. It then proved to be so much more stressful. You were powerless to fight in case you are in danger and you had no one to help guide you through the terrifying situation. Helen made a point to try and be that guide. "You have the hiccups, do you need water."

Putting her arm under his legs Helen stood up and walked back over to the bed. She sat down holding him close again and pulled the sheets off from around him to check on his bandages. They were a bit messy and there was no question they would have to be changed and as soon as possible. Helen tried to make sure he was a little more comfortable and pulled the blankets up around him. "You know I have a new friend for you and I don't think he wants you to cry." She turned around picking up the bear she had brought with her and showed it to him. "See, he think's your a very brave little boy. He thinks you can get through all of this and you know why he thinks that? Because he will be here to help you, he will always remind you that you are brave."

Michael shook his head at needing water. He didn’t really want to eat anything or drink anything right now. As soon as he was put down in the bed, the little nine year old started to pick at his wounds again. There were some that were painful, but he was picking at the ones that were just itchy. He’d developed more of a threshold for pain since the incident, but there was no such thing as a threshold for itching. So, he pulled at yet another scab. The bed was constricting to him. It was the only place that he could feel okay, but it was just a little place for him. Michael stayed silent as he looked up at the woman. Ms. Magnus was her name…and he would say thank you, but he didn’t want to talk at all. It wasn’t that he couldn’t…he wouldn’t.

His eyes widened when she talked about a new friend, and as soon as she picked up that bear for him, Michael quickly wiped the tears off of her face. It was as though he didn’t want the bear to see him sad. After all, from what Ms. Magnus said, he already thought that Michael was brave. That meant that he had to be brave for the bear and he wasn’t supposed to cry. Michael didn’t smile, though. His face just returned to what would normally be a blank stare for a person. However, the raised eyebrows let a person know that he was actually very interested in this.

As soon as it was possible, the little boy reached out to take the bear. He hugged it to him happily, but the little IV in the back of his hand was not really helping with all this rolling around. Even though it had followed him well, the boy was absolutely not going to deal with that much. He hugged the bear to himself, resting his head on it. It was very clear that this bear was his, and even the lights were back to their full power. Everything was settled, but he was fidgeting with the IV now. It was as though he’d just become aware of it. He held his hand up to Ms. Magnus, wanting her to take that thing off of him. After all, it wasn’t at all comfortable, and she should know that.

He played with the the bandages a little more but thankfully he stopped crying and took the bear. So long as he calmed down a little more. "I'll have to change those bandages. It won't take too long." Helen gave him a reassuring smile and got off the bed to grab the new bandage. She knew the difficulty of having a child leave their bandages alone but he couldn't play with them or he would rub his stitches raw. Grabbing the roll of gauze she walked back to the boy and sat down beside him. "You know I never did get your name. Is there something I can call you?" He had been quiet since they brought him in but Helen hoped as he became more comfortable he would start speaking or at least attempt. "You can call me Helen." She had told him that the night before but he might not have heard her then.

The boy played with his IV and Helen didn't want him to hurt himself. She had put it in to keep him hydrated, the boy had come to her in rough shape and dehydration was a serious risk which could have truly killed him. Now that he was awake it wasn't needed. Taking a firm hold of the back of the IV Helen pulled the tape up which held it in place and pulled it out quickly. Her finger went down over the vein the needle had been stuck in so as not to let it bleed out too much. "There, I hope that makes it a little better. No more needle in your hand. I'm going to have to change these bandages as well but don't worry it won't hurt. I'll just have to make sure everything looks alright. We might even be able to skip the wrapping on some of them today."

Pulling out her sheers she showed them to the boy and took hold of the first bandage cutting down the gauze and unwrapping up. Under the gauze was a pad taped down to his leg and under that were stitches. Tossing the gauze to the side Helen peeled back the pad and looked at the red irritated skin with the black stitches. They looked good but the wound was clearly irritated. "It's looking healthy but I'll give you something to make the itch go away." Helen stood back up and walked over to a table where a few extra medical tools had been left. So took up the topical cream often used on wounds to help with the irritation and brought it back to the boy. Applying the cream to the stitches she wondered if he would need any more pain medication. Perhaps just something like Advil would suffice but it tend to thin out the blood and because of that it wasn't the best idea with so many wounds, fresh wounds at that. "One down only three more to go. You certainly did get yourself into some awful trouble didn't you."

Michael did not like that she would be touching the bandages, but these ones itched a little bit, so after she took them off he could have some time scratching them. Then she spoke again. Helen. That's what she wanted him to call her. Helen. He vaguely remembered her saying her name before to him, but the circumstances were still a little bit confused in his mind. The little nine year old stroked the teddy bear softly, trying to decide if he wanted to speak. The answer was still no. He never wanted to speak again...not up here. It was different up here, and he was different up here. So was his voice. He never wanted to be different, and wouldn't let his differences be big.

As soon as the Iv was taken out, he felt much more comfortable, and fiddled with his hand a little bit. The nine year old then looked at her and then started to trace in the sheets. His name was not written in English. It seemed like he was tracing symbols. These symbols were remarkably similar to ancient Sumerian texts, and a trained eye would be able to tell that this was indeed Praxian. He wrote out his name slowly and carefully. The translation of his first name was easy, Michael. His last name had special meaning in Praxian, fallen angel, but it could be read as "Falling." In English.

Michael was not pleased with the scissor like objects she was holding. He did not like them one bit and squirmed just a little bit as she cut through the gauze. They were cold and bright, and they looked extremely dangerous to him. Right now, everything was much bigger in the child's eyes, so it was as though she was holding a pair of hedge clippers, and was trying to cut his leg off. The boy was very grateful when she finished that, but had a clearly concerned look on his face. And as she left his side, he scratched at the stitches, terrified of them as well. There was thread in his skin...and it didn't feel good. He was almost afraid to touch them. When she came back, he felt as though he was doing something wrong so he quickly pulled his hand away from the wound and tried to rub it on the sheets a little bit.

He watched her apply the creme and shifted uneasily at it's touch. It was cool, and he felt like it might eat up his leg. Yes, he did know that down in Praxis there was such a cream for just that to rid yourself of cancerous areas. So, he was just a little nervous still. Since he was not sick, however, he was able to control that mass of power inside of him that always itched to come out. When she started to mention getting into trouble he shivered, his face pale white. He looked down at the sheets and slowly wrote, again in Praxian. "Explosion."

Her attention turned to the bed sheets as he traced out his name but not in English, nor German, nor Russian, nor even Sumerian. No Helen recognized what language he was using, Praxian. Her eyes widened as she looked back at the boy and it all made sense again. How had he survived the explosion? Praxus had been destroyed, it was all gone, her father, everything, everyone. Yet here this little boy had survived...somehow. "Micheal." Helen spoke his name so he could understand that she read Praxian. Not only did she read it but she spoke it as well. He traced out the second part of his name then and it seemed a little ironic. Though Helen was no catholic girl she had read the book. "Micheal Falling, like the angel. Only legends say he never fell...reality on the other hand has another story of the bird men." Or as people called them angels. They were a real race but not all too friendly.

Removing his bandages was a tedious task. Once the first was cut off Helen worked at removing the others including a bandage on his side where he had gotten a large gash but hadn't needed stitches for it. Understanding where he had come from helped Helen understand what had happened to him. Mikey told her about the explosion or more so wrote it out in Praxian. Decided he might feel more comfortable if she spoke in his own language Helen was determined to know how he had escaped the destruction of Praxus. Helen spoke fluent Praxian by now so it was easy for her to hold a conversation with him. But since he wasn't feeling up to talking she would have to make it easier for him.

She crossed the room again pulling out a pen and searching for some paper so Mikey could write down his replies. Helen wouldn't force him to speak, this wasn't an interrogation. Returning to the bed she gave him his tools of communication and got back to his level kneeling on the ground beside the bed. "How did you survive the explosion?" Her voice was calm and gentle, she knew it was best to speak with children this way, especially frightened ones and Mikey was as frightened as they came. He was homeless, in a strange place, and with strange people. "Do you remember what happened?" She asked him in Praxian. Perhaps speaking a language he knew would make him feel better as well. Now that she knew he likely didn't speak very good English she might have to just start teaching him.

Like the angel. Fallen angel was his last name. How could she have possibly known that? Oh. She could read it. She could read his name...and his last name. It felt like she knew her now. There was someone up here that knew him, and knew his name. So if something did happen to him, and his name was shown somewhere, he knew that there would be one person that actually understood who he was. That actually filled his heart with a bit more hope than he'd had in it from before. He hugged onto the teddy bear tightly, then looked down at it and lightly gave the bear a kiss on the nose. He had a lot of love in him.

Michael looked at her as she brought those scissors to him again to change the bandages. It wasn't really that pleasant. They were still cold, and so he did squirm a bit. He hugged onto the bear tightly. It wasn't fun to have all of these bandages on his body, and it was nice to get them off, but when he hugged the bear to the places they did kind of hurt a little bit. It was confusing why they didn't hurt more, but maybe it was because of the thing on the back of his hand. He bit down on his lip just a little bit, and then looked at them once again. She was re-wrapping them, and then Michael held out the bear a bit. The bear should get the wraps as well, so that he and Michael would get better together and everything.

She then handed Michael a pad of paper and a pen. He took them slowly and then shifted where he sat a bit. He stared at the paper and his hand shook a bit as she asked her questions. His face was pale again. She was asking questions that made his head hurt, and it made him really scared. He put the tip of the pen to the paper and nothing but a small squiggle left it. He then frowned and shoved the pad of paper and the pen off the bed. He hugged onto the bear tightly, hiccups starting as he felt a few tears start to fall down his face. It was scary. He didn't want to talk about it, to write about it, or even think about it. Everything was all gone now. He couldn't go back home. It had...exploded.

As the bear was offered back to her she stopped and looked at him a while not sure what Micheal wanted her to do. Still holding the gauze she smiled at him and held it up a little. "Do you want me to fix him up too?" Ashley use to make her do the same thing. If she had to get a band-aid then her stuffed dog had to get one too. Sure she went through bandages at an alarming rate but if it would make him feel better about being all wrapped up she would wrap up his bear as well. "Alright but you should hold his hand to make him feel better. It can be scary for little bears to see doctors. They don't like it but you didn't mind did you? So he needs to know it's okay as well." Helen grabbed the scissors and cut the gauze up again making a few smaller bandages for the bear. She wrapped his left arm and right leg. Once his limbs were wrapped she bandaged up his head covering up one of his eyes and securing it in place.

"There, now he can get better with you. The both of you can rest here and play games." Trying to understand how he had survived she watched Micheal patiently for him to write something down. As the pen slid over the paper there was nothing left behind but rubbish and then the boy pushed it from the bed entirely. Yes she had to slow down, this would take time. First he needed to become comfortable "I understand, you don't want to talk about it." She smiled again and brushed a strand of hair out of his face. Well if she couldn't get her answers today she would just have to wait. Until then he had to recover from his injuries.

"Would you like some tea and cookies Micheal?" Cookies were not the best meal for a recovering patient but for him Helen would make the exception. Helen wouldn't have minded a cup of tea herself. Of course she didn't want to leave him alone in the room again either. The scene she had come into earlier didn't need repeating and at the same time he shouldn't be walking around the Sanctuary, especially in nothing but his undergarments. Picking up the pants and shirt he had stripped down before Helen rested them back on his bed. "You should put your clothes back on so you don't catch a cold. It's bad enough to be hurt you don't want to be sick as well do you?" She very well couldn't just tell him to get dressed, he might not listen to her then. Children had to think they had an option and were not being demanded to do something. Once they did they wouldn't do it just out of nature to never be told what to do.

Michael nodded as she asked if he would like to have the bear picked up. His bear was the most precious thing he had already. And, it was the only thing he had that was his and meant to be his. This entire room wasn't meant to be his, the clothes weren't meant to be his, but he got this because someone intended to give it to him. Brand new. So, he wanted it to have the same things that he had. It only naturally made sense to him. The little boy wriggled a little bit where he sat, and held onto the bears hand, nodding. It really could get scary to get all wrapped up, and he definitely knew that from experience, seeing as he had a bunch of bandages on. Some of them itched less now, yes, but everything was okay since the bear seemed to be doing well with not tugging at his wounds. Michael probably shouldn't tug at his own bandages if his bear didn't. Then his bear would look cleaner than Michael did, and probably be in less trouble.

He had wrinkled his nose a bit at the mention of staying in this room with his bear, because this room was still scary, and there still were a lot of things around him that he didn't like, but then that was the least of his concerns as the fiasco with the questions occurred. He hadn't wanted to answer them, and he hadn't needed to answer them, so it made sense that he'd done what he had. Michael heard her say that she understood, but he was still a little bit shaken and nervous. He shook his head a bit, as though trying to take away the memories, or maybe make them fly away or something along those lines. Whatever the case may be, he soon found solace in moving closer to Helen Magnus. He took comfort in her warmth, and soon he'd just snuggled in against her. After all, he was a bit cold since he was basically stark naked. This was also occurring because the little boy knew that all the warmth had gone out of his mom, and wanted to know that there was still warmth. Just a reassurance that someone warm and comforting was still there.

He looked up towards her at the mention of tea and cookies. His stomach growled...really wanting to eat the food, but the boy shook his head. Not only did he not want to eat, he didn't want to have anything to do with food or drink. It was just a refusal. Getting food or other drinks would also mean that Helen Magnus would leave, and he'd be left alone to more nightmares and more scary things. Even when she was saying that he should get his clothes on, the little boy shook his head with an increased ferocity. If he moved away, Helen Magnus would get up and leave him. Then he'd be stuck with all of the things that he didn't know in here. He didn't know what "catch a cold" was, it was another English phrase he hadn't really become too familiar with, but he knew what "sick" meant. He didn't want to get sick, but he would if it meant that Helen Magnus would stay with him.

Mikey held onto Helen as if she would just vanish never to return once she stepped out that door. He reminded her of Henry all the more. Both of those boys had clung to her so tight, Henry wouldn't let her leave for some time even. Not unless he could go with her. Then Ashley took him under her wing and looked after him, helped him integrate into the life on an average seven year old boy. Unfortunately Helen didn't have that this time around and it would be up to her to teach the boy how this world above the ground worked. Of course teaching him English would be the best start. Since he would not let her go Helen had to be smart about this. She had to find a way to get Micheal to do what she needed of him.

"How about I strike a deal with you. If you get dressed then you can come with me downstairs to the kitchen and we can have some cookies and tea together does that sound better to you?" It had worked with children she had worked with in the past, mostly Ashley and another boy she had taken in long ago named Jareth. If Micheal knew he could stay with her but had to accomplish one goal in order to reach another then was more likely to do it. "And you can take your bear with you. I am sure he want's some tea and cookies as well. Who doesn't enjoy that?" Though none British children tend to drink milk Helen was certain they didn't have milk in Hollow Earth or not the sort that came from cows. Helen knew even tea was a concept in Hollow Earth, she had been there enough times to have a cup or two though the flavor was a bit more earthy since their teas were often done with a type of moss grown below.

Helen Magnus was his connection to his home. She could understand him where others couldn't. His name was translated by her, and he had his home stored just in her. Every time his home came up in his own head now, it was filled with destruction and surrounded by scary people who were moving around it. And Helen Magnus was something that didn't know about what the destruction was, in Michael's own thoughts, and so she could picture his home when it was happy and kids played a lot. It was for that reason he would stay firmly connected to her. She had a lot of happy things with her, and made him feel better than all the sad things did. If she left, then the sad things would come back. Everything would be really dark and large again. Especially in the medical area. Things in here were really scary and beepy. Beeps and lots of other noises weren't comforting, and didn't make him feel better. The boy felt his heart pounding beneath his chest as put his hands around her. No way would he let her leave him. He didn't want the scary big things to come back and make him afraid, and he didn't want to have the bad nightmares again all on his own.

When she said that he could go with her, he looked up through a tear-stained face and wiped away all evidence that he'd been crying. The boy looked at his clothes and clearly wrinkled his nose. He looked towards his bandaged bear, and then back towards his own clothes. They weren't even his, they were someone elses. The bear needed to have clothes too. He shifted his body away from Helen Magnus, but he kept looking towards her, just to be sure that she didn't leave him alone at all, not even a little bit. Then, he started the process of putting his clothes on. It was just a bit difficult, as he was not paying full attention. The boy did get the clothes on, though it looked like if the elastic waistband wasn't there, the pants would fall off, and his shirt was already skewed to the side. He also liked tea, and he liked cookies probably a bit more, so that was good. He'd never actually had chocolate chip cookies and tea, however. His cookies were made more with herbal materials to go with the tea.

She sat by as he threw on his clothes and took her agreement that if he got dressed then he could follow her to the kitchen. The outfit didn't fit him that well but it was all Helen had on hand at the moment. "Perhaps soon we should go shopping for clothes of your own. Not until you feel better of course. I don't want you wandering around until you are well." Children could so easily relapse into a poor state, their condition deteriorating for seemingly no reason at all. All babies, all children abnormal or not were such fragile creatures. One had to take such good care of them for them to survive and at that have a healthy mind. The clothes were almost falling off of him but at any rate he was dressed and wasn't prone to catching a cold so easily now. What with being wounded the immune system took a bit of a dive and left you open to illness.

Helen grabbed the teddy bear and handed it back to Micheal giving him a little smile and then offering her hand for him to take much the way she use to do when Ashley was small. "Now lets go get those cookies and tea." Walking him out into the hallway she was pleased no one was around. It would have been scary for the little boy to have a bunch of strangers gawking at him as he followed Helen to this promised land of milk and cookies. Rather than take the lift down Helen lead him along the steps through the white updated hallways that resembled the construction of Hollow Earth. One thing was certain Micheal would feel rather at home here since so much of Helen's technology was taken from Hollow Earth.

Reaching the kitchen Helen lead Micheal inside and sat him down at the large oak table while she pulled down a few plates for them. Stacking the cookies onto the plates she walked back and placed them close to Mikey so he could help himself then filled the tea kettle with water. Setting it upon the stove Helen waited for the water to boil and returned to Mikey's side sitting down beside him and taking a cookie for herself. Breaking off a chunk of the chocolate chip treat Helen ate it quickly and rested her elbow on the table. "Are they good? Tea should be any minute now. Do you like sugar with your tea? Ah but you are a little boy of course you do." Kids were all addicted to sugar it was fact.
