Divided by an invisible line, the city of Mortlake has become a capital city for the supernatural since vampires and other preternaturals were made legal citizens in 2008. Humans are divided, some wanting to welcome the preternatural with welcoming arms while others want to destroy them - or at least rid the city, maybe even the country, of them.
