“An unidentified object was captured on security cameras last night over Celeste City.”
“The object was then sighted heading towards the ocean and exploding into a dazzling show of blue lights. When asked to comment if enquiries would be made as to what caused the explosion the authorities refused to disclose information.”

The Hospital Celeste boasts a rather large hospital (the large concrete structure would be intimidating were it not for the efforts of local garden centres and the paintings of happy patients on the walls in the courtyard)- and the staff are near impeccable. Of course, every hospital has a few dark sheep and there's rumours of some patients not getting the care they need but... nowhere is perfect! It's the only hospital around, and nine times out of ten they'll get it right.

The Police Department Celeste's Police force is one of the best around- and they work quite closely with the local S.W.A.T team. The crime rate is a daunting one, what with the local Mob run by Roe Li- but the Policing Department works around the clock to combat the crime wave as best they can, and nobody can really fault them. After all, it's not like anybody is volunteering to help.

Evacuation center Have the infected overrun your neighbourhood? Need a place to stay where you and your family can feel safe? The Evacuation center was set up with the intention of housing those with nowhere else to go for fear of becoming infected or killed by those that are. There are family rooms, single or double rooms with basic furnishings- like a giant hostel, really, and the prices are next to nothing for those who can afford to pay. [Not in use until season progression]

Night Clubs and Pubs The city of Celeste is known for its night life, from the old fashioned pubs where the older people can sit and share a quiet drink (maybe even a meal!) to the pumping clubs filled with students and the more daring older individuals dance and drink the night away. Of course, this is an area rife with drug dealers and crime Syndicates- the most notorious of which is run by the infamous Roe Li.

Restaurants and cafes For all your dining experiences, everything from the local tea and cake cafe to that lovely (and no doubt expensive) Italian you heard about from your socialite friends. Grouped together from your convenience, anything that involves food can be safely threaded here- be it within the city, or on the outskirts. And of course, there's a healthy range of prices, from the budget to the exceedingly extravagant.

Small Businesses This is where all the small businesses in Celeste from the local butchers to the infamous Stirling Industries (a weapons manufacturer that has begun to delve into less legal matters) can be found. Nine times out of ten if your character has a job in a shop or a small company, this is where you'll be posting their work life.

The industrial Area The main bulk of the city, where all the factories and major businesses can be found. This is where you'll find your supermarkets, the local house of law, the gym and everything else a major city needs! And of course, where would you be without a cinema? Anything you can think of, Celeste probably has it somewhere! There's even an opera house! Though not quite as grand as the one in Sydney.

The Mall Every self respecting city has it's own mall, and Celeste is no exception. While it can't claim to rival those in America for size and extravagance, it's certainly big and expensive enough to keep the teen population pleased and sated. They have a range of shops from cheap to credit card debt, with a lovely food court that appeals to everyone, from young to old, poor to rich.. sort of. Perhaps the rich might prefer to dine in the Champagne bar and Jamie Oliver restaurant up the other end.

Apperdine Where the poor residents of Celeste often reside, this forum covers everything from cheap apartment blocks of dodgy repute, to decrepit old houses rented out to the less fortunate. Hostels can be included here also, basically; if you're strapped for cash, you probably live in Apperdine.

Normandy So you're not poor, but you're certainly not rich. For those in Celeste's middle-class, Normandy is home. This ranges anywhere from comfortable apartment buildings to family houses in the suburbs. If it's not cheap and nasty and it's not the height of extravagance; your home is definitely in Normandy.

Persimmon The homes of Celeste's social elite. If you're wealthy, this is where you'll be living. Persimmon ranges from large apartment blocks to estates and houses of such extravagance that some of them look like something straight out of Disney. Perhaps one of the most elaborate is that of the Mayor, it's suggested that there's even peacocks in the garden...

The Foreshore Celeste is known for its picturesque views, and the beach certainly does not disappoint. A large stretch of sand is filled with tourists during the day, and fireflies at night. The sunset and sunrise over the horizon are certainly something to write home about, the perfect romantic retreat. Little boat rides around the shoreline are offered, and there's even fruit vendors and camel rides that make it seem far more exotic than it actually is. Rumour has it that the little smoothie shack on the shore provides smoothies that are utterly divine.

Grand ocean Promenade and Park The leisure centre on the Promenade is one of the best around; offering tennis, a swimming pool, even a running track. Unfortunately there is no gym equipment, that's left to the actual gym within the city, but they have almost everything else. The park itself is a large expanse of green, dotted with wildflowers and little gardens to make the place even greener; if that were possible. Perfect for picnics or walking the dog, there's even a kids area complete with a swing set, climbing frame, slide and roundabout. The perfect day out, if you've not got much money on you.

Bastian's Carnival The new and state of the art Carnival that has just opened up on the outskirts of the park. Everything from fairground rides to candy floss stalls can be found here. There's all the traditional things you expect from a fairground, and some more modern attractions; like a 3D virtual reality ride that features experiences from a taxi cab to a fighter jet. There's something for everyone down at Bastian's Carnival, and if you can't find what you're looking for- the local psychic might be able to help!

Church and Graveyard Need a bit of spiritual guidance? Attending a wedding/funeral or want to visit the dearly departed? This is the place! Celeste boats quite a modest little church, though it's gained its fame through its lavish wedding and funeral services, serving anyone from modest wages to Mob bosses and the social elite. The Graveyard is large, with sweeping pathways and fresh flowers delivered daily to a stall, where you can buy a bouquet (or a single rose) for your dearly departed.
