Just a few general ideas I've had:
1. a local war, either political or physical 2. a string of murders taking place in the city 3. the city is infiltrated (by cultists, vampires, a mad wizard and his thralls) Feel free to throw more out there. We should also decide what city to start in. |

Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Athkatla, Cormyr, are all pretty major cities. Calimshan, if you wanna get into a desert. Hmm...

I do believe that, in our current actual RP thread, we've sort of unofficially decided upon Athkatla.
