History: The Ta'Warra evolved from a now long-extinct avian species on the planet of Ta'Wyrr. Over a period of several thousand years and different habitat variations, the avian species became the blue, winged, bipedal race known as the Ta'Wyrr and some evolved even further, becoming the Ta'Warra. It took just a few hundred years for a working language to come about for the Ta'Wyrr and Ta'Warra to communicate verbally amongst one another along with varied body movements or contact of certain areas of two Ta'Wyrr bodies. As the two species came from a common ancestor, they were more or less blood relation and came to a rather easy understanding of one another's species.
Around 30,000 BBY when the Ta'Wyrr were forming their clans, the Ta'Warra were doing much the same, but on a smaller level, more the individual mated pair kind of formation. Thus, when the government came about, the Ta'Warra had no such place amongst the ruling clans, but they did not want such things. Even though they had no place in government, they were given a special task of protecting the clan leader who ruled over Ta'Wyrr at any given time. So, with this new task, the entire race was regarded as privileged, sometimes even more so than the noble clans of the Ta'Wyrr.
Like their blood 'cousins' the Ta'Warra too were able to adapt further and attain force sensitivity amongst their numbers, although it was slightly more rare for a Ta'Warra to be force sensitive than it was a Ta'Wyrran to be, 1:10000 ratio. These force sensitive Ta'Warra carved out their own special place in the Order of Wyrr, as a group known as the Shadow Riders, those who were crazy enough to tame the wild Shadow Hunters and use them as mounts in the defense of Ta'Wyrr.
When the Ta'Wyrr achieved hyperspace travel, the Ta'Warra went too, as protection from the dangers of the galaxy in which they did not know. It was the Ta'Warra who initially discovered that breathing apparatuses were needed in order to survive off Ta'Wyrr. Since trade has stabilized and Ta'Wyrrans are in no danger in the galaxy, the Ta'Warra have gone back to their initial task of protecting the ruler of Ta'Wyrr, although they have become more of a special military unit as a whole, their entire way of life focused on military duty.
Other Notes: The Ta'Warra are more immune/resistant to the local plague (which occurs every decade) of Ta'Wyrr, although it still affects a large number of their people every decade.
