SETTING
AUGUST 2012
The X-Men are dealing with the repercussions of their big reveal and a new enemy is threatening them and the peaceful residents of District X, the new mutant slum. But rumor has it something big is about to happen for mutantkind.
It has been six months since the Brotherhood was scattered. Five months since the massacre of the Morlocks.
The Mutant Registration Act is gaining political support, though the Mutant Response Division has been fairly quiet so far. There's a potential enemy around every corner for mutants these days.
NEWS
JUNE 1 2012
Our second big announcement is up. We've moved ahead to August in our in-character time, so all new threads will be considered set in August. Also, note the nifty new event threads? There are more on the way in the near future, including one for the Upstarts etc.
So keep an eye out for what we've got coming up around the site.

the grounds around the school include a forest behind the backyard that shields students from prying eyes, expansive lawns, and an outdoor pool. the tennis and basketball courts are open for student use. the garages are not.

the basement levels beneath the school aren't part of the "official: blueprints. down here you'll find cerebro, the hangar bay, the danger room, and the laboratories.

the ground floor of the school is where you'll find the cafeteria, many classrooms, and a common area for students to gather. an education at xavier's awaits just through the entrance hall.

the first floor of the school consists mainly of the dormitories for the students and faculty. the faculty are in the east wing, and the students in the west, and of course the faculty have larger residencies.

salem center is the town within easy walking distance of xavier's school. older students are permitted to visit the town until the school's ten pm curfew. the grind stone, a local coffee shop, is a student favorite.

| THE BROTHERHOOD'S ESTATE
what was once a splendid estate upstate is now a pile of rubble, after sentinels descended upon it during the night on january 28th. the area is being monitored by the mrd now that it is listed as a known mutant encampment.

| MRD FACILITY
The Sentinels remain here, in the underground base just outside the city limits. Though they are de-activated, the MRD still has some mutant prisoners contained in this facility, which was upgraded recently with blocks against psychic powers.
