[dohtml]
Don't scroll away, don't be alarmed, it's just your admin team with an announcement about our little site and its expansion.
First off, the staff would like to say thanks to everyone for making this revamp so successful. And now that finals are winding down, we're looking forward to a great summer with plenty of plotting for everyone. We want to hear your ideas, so don't be afraid to use that suggestions forum.

Please direct yourself to this thread if you currently play a member of any X-Men team, we want to decide on some missions. The school already has plans, and the Upstarts are organizing, but our heroes still need a day to save.

We also have two new playable groups for you all; if you'd like a character moved to one of these groups, please reply here and let us know, we'll take care of that right away. There are also new NPC groups which you'll be seeing more of quite soon.

x-factor
X-Factor is what happens when you make the X-Men a bit more noir. They're private investigators for mutant affairs. They'll also take human cases, of course, but they deal with the cases humans can't or won't. Things involving mutant abilities and other complications. They're still on the heroic side of things, they just don't do quite so much punching as the X-Men.
District X and the X-Factor Investigations headquarters are located in Queens.

upstarts
Pietro's got a new group of mutant activists swearing revenge for the Sentinel project and the massacre. Their strategy for political change tends to involve a lot of fire. But if you're a displaced former Brotherhood member or just an ordinary mutant that's fed up with the Sentinels and these new human activist groups, this is a good place to start.

exiles
This is just a reminder, but the Exiles are still here and it's still a member group - displaced Morlocks, Brotherhood, or any others too active to be called 'neutral' as neutral wants to stay out of the conflict entirely. However, this is not an organized group with any structure or leadership, it's a colloquial term for the aforementioned people.

NEW NPC VILLAIN GROUPS

reavers
Led by Donald Pierce, this group of anti-mutant activists with cybernetic upgrades believes that the Sentinels should never have been discontinued. They warn that as long as mutants exist, humanity will never be safe from them. This group has been around for two years, but gained a lot of traction following the damage done to the city by Exodus. They meet in abandoned buildings and have pledged to eliminate the mutant threat by any means necessary.

friends of humanity
The Friends of Humanity is a pro-human purity group with religious overtones. They are technically non-violent, as far as anyone knows. As far as everyone doesn't know, they're planning something now that their numbers are swelling, and they openly preach that mutants must be exterminated. They are led by the famous anti-mutant preacher, Reverend William Stryker. (Though the world doesn't know that he's related to the military mind behind the Weapon X project.)
