It had been a frustrating and exhausting afternoon. For days on end she had been practicing, rehearsing, and attempting to be more social with her band mates. It could become a lot for the girl to handle. Granted, she wasn’t shy. She had taken a liking to Soo Bin since they had gone out together, but at the same time, she only trusted people as far as an arms distance. Nobody had broken through that barrier yet and Soo Bin had appeared to be more of a mother figure. Due to her lack there of.

So what did she do today? She disguised herself. Carefully she had thrown on a simple nice shirt, a pair of jeans, and a hat to go on top of her head. A set of dark rimmed sunglasses perched on top the brim of her nose, and a satchel across her shoulder to carry some of her materials. From time to time, in the days when she wasn’t known to the world and in moments when she felt depressed, she’d zone herself into games. As of two-thousand and ten it had been League of Legends. The girl who normally pirated on beta versions of games felt a little disappointed that she hadn’t done so with this one. She had been too hooked on Defense of the Ancients.

Right now she sat crisscross in her computer chair, body leaned into as she took a look at the spawning pool, waiting for her respwan rate. Right now she was on a 5v5 and to say in the nicest way, the people in the guild she was debating on leaving sucked ass. Even she, an idol, was getting agitated with them. But of course, they had no idea she was Lyric of Bana. No, they simply knew her as Nacoya, her MMO alias.

“OH MY FUCKING GOD GUYS! That Volibear is kicking your asses!! It’s like I’m the only one playing!” She screamed through her mic with her oversized headphones laying over her ears. “I mean seriously! I hate that we can’t use the same champions because right now Eggy, you SUCK with Ahri! But you just had to whine that you could play her better! I told you to do nuke flash and then ignite! It would’ve blinded them and we would’ve had a strong offense off the bat.” She grunted in frustration, shoving a handful of pocky into her mouth, chewing on the two pieces at once as she felt the frustration of noobs. She needed to find a new guild desperately, but not many would take her because of her crazy schedule. Even when she was as good as she was. Though, her flaw was she was never the type to go on strategy but gut and cause and effect. An act first and think later type, which made her best with aggressive types of champions or strong offense. She was used to being the bull rush of the group.

“And Bebo! You were stupid for picking Fiona! I mean we’re fighting bruisers here!” Though, another comment was muttered about the guild member not knowing that they’d have those opponents.

“Bitch.” She muttered, before they were finally annihilated. “FUCK! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!” She shouted, shooting up from her seat as the chair flew backwards. A few pieces of her food scattered about, landing in the people to her right, left, and even in front of her, on their keyboard. “Gah! I need depression food.” She muttered under her hushed breath, feeling defeat was over her.

Hyungsik can't say he's entirely surprised, however, considering his last League ragefest had nearly ended with him sinking his fist into the computer screen. God, just once, it'd be nice to have a Xerath that knows how to use him, rather than stupid hamfisted attempts at casters that end in inevitable feeding. Randoms blew hardcore, and almost always ended in him having another page in the Tribunal, because his in-game rage was second only to his skill as a summoner.

So here he is, in an internet cafe, trying to blow off some steam before heading back to half-heartedly apologize for nearly breaking the computer. Luckily enough, the team he's on currently on isn't sucking too bad, but god if the other team's Ahri doesn't suck goose eggs. And their Fiora isn't bad, but Hyungsik has played opposite enough Fioras to know how to counter them appropriately, especially given that he's playing Volibear.

As soon as he removed his headphones, however, he turned to hear shouting, and lo and behold, Jae Hee was behind him, basically narrating his game.

Oh.

Yeo6 (Volibear): u guys should stop sucking i think ur giving ur teammate an aneurysm.

Hyungsik turned to look at her and wave quietly, hoping to catch her attention without drawing attention to himself.

A huff escaped her lips. Reaching for the keyboard standing up she began to type furiously, angered that she had lost. At least the person who was on the opposite team understood her frustration. Jae Hee, along with possibly one other member in the guild, was carrying these three opposites. She had no idea how they had leveled up so much. They obviously rode on their other teammates, which would explain why their team was losing, and would be completely dead if not for Naka and herself.

Nacoya (Ashe) U HAVE NO FRIGGIN IDEA! That was all she could type without throwing her fist onto the icons of her teammates. Yes, she did take games too seriously, and yes, she did react violently. But it was just something that she honestly couldn’t control it. When you lived a life like hers you found yourself sucked into alternate realities. And right now, she wanted to claim all the territory on the map and dominate. She wanted to be strong.

But again, her team mates sucked.

A grunt came out for the second time, until she could see out of her peripheral vision a hand waving. Slowly she felt her figure turn around, only to set eyes on Hyungsik. Embarrassment was the only way to express how she felt. And she almost shouted his name in surprise, but held her lips together. The last thing the duo needed was to be mauled by a bunch of computer nerds. Well…she supposed they were too, but she had no intention on being trampled on by some fat SOBs.

She was about to make an excuse, until she set eyes onto his monitor. A wide grin came across her lips as she scooted over towards his screen to read the screen name, hovering over his figure whether he liked it or not. “Fuck! You’re the Volibear?!” Hyungsik just became ten times cooler in her book.

When Jae Hee comes over, Hyungsik can hardly keep himself from grinning. "Guilty as charged. Your teammates are a little dumb, especially your Ahri. Does he even know how to use her ult?" It isn't often he meets anyone else with even a casual inerest in League, but judging by her skill with Ashe, she plays fairly often. "I never would've guessed that you play. Of all the people I could've gotten matched with, I'm surprised it was you."

League is his vice, more or less, that which enables him to blow off some stress and in the same minute and a half timespan give it right back tenfold when his teammates suck and cost him a game. Which is why he got kicked out and had his internet privileges restricted, because apparently waking people up at two in the morning to scream nonsensically at the computer is rude or something, or so say his bandmates and his manager, who just want him to keep it down. But Hyungsik just wants to play League uninterrupted, so he has attempted to cut down on his ragey outbursts, but when they suck hard enough, he can't help it, it just comes out, along with the urge to throw anything within his reach.

So perhaps League is a destructive force rather than a constructive one, but it gives him something to do and talk about and focus on when things get bad. "We should try premade games together, I know some people that won't give you high blood pressure with the sheer force of their sucking ability."

Jae Hee agreed with everything swarming through his mind. She had always been the same, but she had to learn to control it simply for fear of her mother’s attacks. Ga In was the type who would get pissed off at the smallest things, especially when it came to anything dealing with her being older. When she would get mad and yell at Jae Hee to be quiet playing her game, the child couldn’t help but give a snarky remark along the lines of “what, all the young kids do it? Are you too old to get it?” Which usually resulted in a quick slap against her face. It was fine though, so long as her computer wasn’t shut off.

“Oh god please do.” She exclaimed, pulling up a chair next to Hyungsik as she scanned his map, viewing his stats. She never would’ve imagined the singer to be a MMO geek like herself. Then again, not many people would categorize her like that either. Jae Hee was seen as the b-boy hip hop dancer who could rap and had the sex appeal image. Little did they know that she was actually the kind of girl who sat huddle up in front of her computer and played MMOs all night long.

“I’m so tired of this guild that I might go bald from stress. I even told the dumbass what to do, but do they listen to the girl, no!”

"Yeah, unfortunately guys on League like to believe that they're hot shit. Listening to a girl is out of the question because they're too busy posturing trying to impress you." The guild he'd been in prior to telling them all to fuck off collectively had been full of asswipes like that, trying their hardest to overcompensate in the presence of actual girls, as one of his former guildmates had called them, that were apparently few and far between. Hyungsik had made more than a few enemies in that guild by straight up telling them that the reason they never met any girls is because all the girls they came across lied and said they were guys to avoid having dipshits like them attempting to flirt.

"But I've got a nice group of friends going right now. We aren't really a guild, but we play together regularly and it's stress-free and on occasion pretty hilarious." He grins a little; two of his League friends are a married couple in Jeonju who play incredible tag teams (lately their preference has been Veigar and Soraka, a surprising team that, when they get into the late game stages, dominates with the ferocity of a team of five on their own). "They're all good, smart enough to go on things other than basic builds. I'm sure you'd like it."

He raises his eyebrows. "Unless you'd rather stick with your guild full of posturing idiots."

Plopping her lithe figure against the cushioned chair she could only feel a pout coming on her face from jealousy. But she kept her composure to a small mope, wishing that she was on Hyungsik’s team. And if what he was saying was true, that only disappointed her more. It’d make sense why they never took any tips from her. Hell she had been playing MMO’s since she could type on a keyboard, and though the men on her guild were probably older than her it didn’t necessarily make them better. They went off egos and were too busy taking the game too seriously, drowning themselves in it to where they couldn’t get a fresh perspective. They assumed everyone played the same way they did and that could become their downfall…at least in her guild.

“Man.” She whined slightly plopping her head firmly against her desk. But League of Legends wasn’t exactly a game you could play on your own. And it was her main outlet away from the responsibilities she had now as a singer.

And as Hyungsik continued to explain about his laxed group of friends, who seemed more than capable to play (from her guilds horrid defeat) she could only feel that envy growing a bit more in the gamer world. But the moment he let out a sentence that sounded like him offering for her to play with them, her face shot up, hair swinging in amiss around her face. “Are you saying I can play with you guys? Would your friends be okay with that? I mean, they massacred that group I was in.”

"You're the only person who was even remotely competent on that team," Hyungsik replies with a grin. "Of course we want you. We aren't a guild, we're just sorta... come on and play, yanno?" He feels bad, because if he'd known earlier that she'd been into League, he would've asked her to play right off the bat rather than letting her keep on with these clowns. It's obvious to him that they're not very good players, which is pretty common on League.

At least for Hyungsik it is, and he has a sneaking suspicion that it has a lot to do with how he spends most of his free time online practicing and dedicates the free time he isn't playing it to researching it. Live and breathe something long enough and being good at it becomes second nature. Something like that.

"So if you'd like a real team who knows what they're doing, you should play with us." He leans on his hand grins again. "We get together weekly and play together on skype." It's, at this point, the most fun he has because he sure as hell doesn't have much fun with his bandmates. Despite the fact that they're sort of growing on him (he's learning to tolerate constant contact and living with others with no real means of escape to have time to himself), it's nice to get on and not feel smothered every once and a while.

"Whatever you want. We're flexible."

Jae Hee smiled widely. It was probably the first time she had done so in the longest of time. It felt odd, odd enough for her to think about it once the action had been done. How weird did that make her? But none the less, Hyungsik had done the impossible and for that she was grateful. She was growing to like this boy more and more as an Oppa, and felt now that it was worth those few seconds of embarrassment to be friends with him. He didn’t push issues that she didn’t want to discuss and he had just gotten more brownie points in her book for playing a game she was religious with.

“That’d be great.” She replied finally, watching as he rest his face firmly in the palm of his hand. It was odd, from seeing him on stage you would never imagine him to be this kind of a guy. Then again, those who saw her probably never would’ve guessed her to be a video game geek either. Most assumed she was just some dumb bimbo, but she’d love to see how they’d react to playing an MMO based style game or dealing with anything that has to do with a computer in the first place. She could take the damned things apart in her sleep. Feminine things like cooking and the such on the other hand…were a bit difficult for her.

“As a thank you…” She trailed, rolling her chair back towards the computer she had hogged earlier. In one quick scoop she gathered up all her snacks and pushed with her free foot back over to the leader of LY. Dropping them to the side of his keyboard she let out another childish smile, tilting her head slightly as she pulled out a candy bar. Nobody would’ve ever thought she ate the way she did with her figure, she was just lucky to have a high metabolism. “You can pick something to eat!”

Hyungsik is a little surprised when Jae Hee dumps snacks all over him, but it's a good type of surprise, because it just sort of fits. "Nah, don't worry about it," he replies with a small smile, leaning back in his chair. He'd shoveled his face spitefully full of food after he'd been booted out of the dorm, more than anything to make himself feel better after having stormed out indignantly. "I already ate."

A complete meal, because apparently feeling utterly betrayed (an exaggeration on his part but he feels like dramatizing what happened) by his bandmates makes him hungry.

"Thank you, though. But I'm just glad you won't be playing on a team of idiots anymore." It's nice to know anyway that there's someone readily accessible who understands his pain, because no one at the LY dorm does, they just get mad at him for shouting at the computer and keeping them awake in the wee hours of the morning. It's not like he asks them to stick around for his dicier matches; they can just wear ear plugs or something. But he doesn't want to get irritated again, so he tries not to think about it.

"You gonna play again or would you rather watch me mop up the next team we get into it with?"
