Despite their common love for fun and couple nicknames of Bacon and Ham, Eun Mi was clearly more submissive compared to the more volatile Hye Mi. This could be possibly why they even became friends in the first place, since opposites attract. Eun Mi had a rather considerable influence on Hye Mi that they both probably were not aware of. Hye Mi only realised after her father mentioned he felt she was less temperamental and more mature compared to the time before she met her best friend. Of course, it merely lessened the tendency of her flaring up and not the intensity of it when she does fly into a rage. On the other hand, if it was not for the sake of Eun Mi and her grumbling tummy, Hye Mi would probably stay here all night fighting a duel to the death with this man.
Hye Mi was not much of a comics fan but she was envious of Batman who had such an awesome sidekick like Robin. She can never understand how she had got stuck to a bumbling idiot like her current bodyguard, who also doubled as her chauffeur. Well, he did have pretty decent driving skills but he utterly failed at protecting her. Glancing at Eun Mi who seemed to find her little bicker with her bodyguard funny, Hye Mi also cracked a smile, finally satisfied that her little night out with her bestie had not really gone that badly after all.
After Hye Mi had dismissed the stalker fan, Eun Mi still bothered to show him courtesy and manners. Honestly, the socialite was not sure whether to laugh or cry at her best friend's actions. "Sometimes, I swear you're seriously awfully nice, too nice for your own good." She remarked with a hint of disapproval. "Let's hope that does not encourage him to stick to you closer like a leech." She stuck her tongue out in distaste. Then she remembered about the useless bodyguard of hers, without even bothering to look at him, she gave the order carelessly, "Just follow behind us and make sure no more looneys come out and scare us."
As she felt Eun Mi's arm return itself to its original position around her arm, Hye Mi broke into a grin, sensing the negative feelings ebbing away. "Let's go!" She repeated after her friend with gusto. As the duo exited the dark alley, Hye Mi felt the strong smell of the spicy sauce overwhelm her senses before the ddeokbokki stand across the empty road came into view.

Another smile managed to crack through her lips, especially at her friends comment. Too nice? She had never heard of being too nice, since she had grown up with the mindset of being nice to everybody. One of the few things she remembered about her parents was that they were big time advocates of treating everybody fairly. Her aunt and uncle were always reminding her to be nice to others, and treat them as she wanted to be treated. So despite how crazy the older male fan had been, pushing Hye Mi to the side, and even leaving marks on her skin, she still wanted to treat him nicely. She didn’t want to give him any reason to hate her, because in her mind she would rather have a crazy fan than a crazy netizens XS hating fan.
“Me too nice? You should see me in the mornings! I would run over anybody that got in the way of me and breakfast.” A chuckle escaped her lips, playfully joking around with her friend. She was half kidding at her words, partially because she would run over just about anybody… but then apologize right afterwards. Good thing she knew how to act the bad girl persona, or else her hopefully developing acting career might have been tanked just at overly kind ways.
“Omo do you smell that? It smells so spicy and good! Let’s go, go, go!” Her grin grew wider at the scent, her body leading the way towards the food. Her stomach was growling again, this time more angry that nothing was fed to it yet. “Aigoo my stomach is going die if it is not fed soon! But do you think your body guard wants some? I think I have enough for both of you guys.” Eun Mi nodded towards both of them, letting them know that it was okay to eat their hearts out. Her aunt had given her allowance for the week, which meant she could cover for the two. Not that she felt obligated, or Hye Mi needed to be covered, but Eun Mi felt like she should, because that’s what best friends were for.

Perhaps Hye Mi was just too rash, not thinking about the consequences of her actions in the long run. Now that she had calmed down and dispelled her anger, she was starting to understand why Eun Mi had kept her cool and dealt with the issue maturely without aggression. As a celebrity, every single fan was important because without them, you are nothing. After all, it was better to have him hate her alone than hate the both of them, at least one XS fan had been retained. Hye Mi never thought she was popular enough to have antis, but she remained pretty much unfazed by it since it's not like she could please everyone.
Widening her eyes in mild shock, Hye Mi blurted out, "Okay, remind me to get my chauffeur to make sure he locks the car when I visit you in the morning." She then cracked a grin, thinking about the girl driven to insanity by mere hunger, sounds like a zombie from the Walking Dead TV show.
As the duo approached the stall, Eun Mi's excitement rose and it was very infectious, Hye Mi could not help but feel herself anticipate too, her mouth already watering. Then Eun Mi mentioned something about paying which immediately prompted an outburst from Hye Mi. "Ayyy... I'll treat, alright?" She then explained to back her decision, "I haven't been spending much of my allowance and my father keeps thinking my company is abusing me by making me go on unnecessary diets that might harm me. I swear you'll be doing me favour to help me spend some of it so he would not swing by the company and make a big hoo-ha over it, and make me feel even more awkward in the company." She turned to the bodyguard behind and asked, "You have money on you, right?" He nodded, his hand digging into his pocket. "See, I'm eating okay? Make sure you report to Dad that I'm not being deprived of food, and that he should stop being a nuisance." She grinned impishly before turning back to her friend.
When they reached the stall, Hye Mi greeted the old lady cheerfully, "Annyeonghaeseyo, Halmeonim! I'm here with my dear friend again!" She beamed widely before sweeping her gaze over the bubbling sauce in the stall.

Now that the crazy fan situation had been out of the way, Eun mi couldn’t help but offer a wide grin towards her friend, a giggle accompanying the expression. “The locks won’t help. I’m kind of like the incredible Hulk and I just tear everything apart!” Her chuckle began to roar even louder with her words, realizing how ridiculous her joke had sounded. However with the once faint scent of red pepper paste intensifying with each step closer to the street vendor, her gaze locked onto the glorious food that she been long waiting for.
“Okay, well if you pay for this then I demand that I pay for dessert afterwards!” Eun Mi insisted, persisting her quest to pay, because that’s what friends were for. And if she didn’t pay, well she felt bad and almost like a moocher, which was the least she wanted. But with the eagerness to eat overflowing, she couldn’t help but grab hold of a few pair of chopsticks before handing them towards Hye Mi and even her body guard. “Ajumma this looks so good, even better than before!” Her excitement continued to seep out of her figure, as she waited for the older woman to serve the delicious rice cakes their way.
“I’m so excited Hye Mi-ah! I think I might eat too much, but is it sad that I don’t care if I bloat tomorrow or gain weight? I just really want to eat it all.” The girl admitted, her hands breaking apart the chopsticks, before twiddling them in between her fingers as she waited.

"Oh god, remind me to keep a strait-jacket in the boot next time in case you're on Hulk mode." Her face flashed an expression of aghast, even placing a hand over her mouth in shock. "Or maybe I should just call the military and save myself the trouble?" She suggested playfully, nudging an elbow gently at her friend's side. At the mention of desserts, Hye Mi's eyes bulged out, "You would still have space in your stomach after ddeokbokki?! Eun Mi-yah, are you ill?" A palm stretched out to touch her friend's forehead while another touched her own forehead. "Or maybe there's worms in your tummy?!" Out of the blue, her hands retracted and her fingers started attacking Eun Mi's stomach in a tickling frenzy, "Bet their crawling and rolling around in there!" She let a high-pitched giggle escape from her mouth as she continued to tickle her friend a little more before giving the girl a break.
Receiving the chopsticks from her bestie, she uttered a word of thanks, holding one stick in one hand and slamming the ends on the surface like some tribal woman in a chant. With her eyes fixated on the food, she replied to her pal, "Ayyy, you won't. You'll probably lose all of it during dance practice anyway, don't worry so much and just eat to your heart's content okay?" Without waiting any longer, she replaced her chopsticks together in her right hand and picked up a slender piece of the rice cake, biting off a piece. An expression of bliss touched her face, as if she had just risen to heaven. Turning to the XS maknae, she stared at her, confused. "Eun Mi-yah, what are you waiting for?! Dig in!" Ripping another piece from the end of her half-eaten rice cake with her teeth, she chewed as the spiciness exploded in her mouth.
Remembering her bodyguard's presence, Hye Mi spoke with her mouth filled with food, "Oppa, eat." It sounded more like a command than an invitation but most of her staff do not even get the opportunity to dine with her so he was already quite lucky.

When it came to food, Eun Mi had a special storage system in her stomach to hold all the delicious foods she encounters, or so she was convinced of this idea. The capacity size is unknown, but from prior experiences she knew it to be huge. In fact, she had even beaten out some guys when she dined out with them, which had shocked most. So when Hye Mi was stunned that she would even had space in her stomach for dessert, she shrugged, not thinking of the idea as a big deal. She was a massive eating machine at heart, which she was proud to admit, even if her manager thought differently, especially around times of promotion. “Omo maybe that’s why I can eat so much, but that does not make me crazy! If you don’t finish your dessert I can finish it for you.” A playful grin flickered along her lips. Her friend probably thought of her as crazy now, but Eun Mi didn’t mind.
“If I ate my heart’s content I think I would eat everything the ajumma made in the cart!” A chuckle escaped in between each bite, as she continued to chew down the rice cakes. The feeling of the spiciness burning the interior of her mouth, yet easing a refreshing feeling over was her favorite part about spicy foods like ddeokbokki. With each chew, she poked at the squishy red rice cakes, as she sniffled from the heat of the flavorings.
“Yes you should eat too!” Eun Mi encouraged the older male body guard, managing to get a smile once she had swallowed down all the food. “Aigooo Hye Mi-ah we need to exercise tomorrow. My manager is never going to let me live this down!” Although she would mostly likely burn off the calories from not only exercising but also dance rehearsals as well as walking around from one schedule to another, she was still concerned. It wasn’t like she was the skinniest girl to begin with.

It can be quite a chore to be one of Eun Mi's gourmet-tasting partner, which was automatically included in the job scope of being her best friend. For starters, Hye Mi can never afford to slack on her already stringent exercise regime, especially after a day-out with the girl with the voracious appetite. Unlike the daebak records artiste, Hye Mi's metabolism rate was not as high and she tend to put on those pounds easily but have an insanely hard time shedding them. Fortunately, the perfectionist was a gym rat who was not lazy when it comes to working out to keep any signs of a bulging tummy at bay.
"Excuse me! I won't let you gobble up some yummy dessert in front of me without sharing!" Sticking out a tongue in contempt, she sounded confident of having space to rival Eun Mi's appetite but deep within, she was really uncertain if she could live up to her words and really be able to finish dessert. Smirking at what Eun Mi said about being able to clear all of the stock the shopkeeper had, Hye Mi responded, "Yah, I'm sure she would be more than happy for you to do." She glanced at the lady who beamed at the two young ladies, clearly delighted to hear Eun Mi's declaration.
Like a mirror reflection of Eun Mi, Hye Mi too was sniffling from the spiciness, but that did not slow down the speed of her bites. Of course, compared to the ravenous XS maknae, her speed was probably considered snail mode. "Wow! Are you a mind-reader or something?" Her hand froze in mid-air and she turned to look at her friend. "I definitely have to burn off all the calories from today's episode of Eun Mi's hunger travels." She averted her gaze to her abdomen as if already imagining a flabby tummy forming.

It was amazing how the two ate in such bulk, especially in the late hours, without gaining large quantities of weight. Sure the two hadn’t eaten together as frequently as they once used to, but still. Even during those times Eun Mi did not gain a massive amount of weight, and from what she recalled Hye Mi had always been very skinny. Perhaps it was the life of an idol/trainee; always training to be just as skinny as the next girl, if not skinnier. Or maybe it was her lack of sleep, always wandering about throughout the day, especially at odd hours of the night just explorer, distracting her mind from her cluttered mind filled with various priorities and thoughts. It was a mystery to her, but considering the spicy red rice cakes that still remained in front of the two; she didn’t worry too much about the tidbit. Instead, she continued to eat as if there were no tomorrow, sniffling and wiping her mouth of the red residue along the way.
“Good! I was beginning to worry whether or not I was going to have to eat the desserts by myself.” A chuckle slipped from her lips, as she witnessed her friend’s silly gestures. One by one more rice cakes were being stuffed into her mouth, the statement of eating all of the ajumma’s food slowly turning into reality rather than a bizarre joke. “Aigoo… this is all so good, but I feel bad for eating more! I’m going to eat all of it if I don’t stop.” Carefully she placed the chopsticks onto the plate, before wiping the remaining bits of spicy sauce on the corners of her lips. It was true. If she really wanted to she really could eat the rest of the food remaining on the cart. But for money, weight and dessert sake, she stopped herself.
“I think you’re crazy Hye Mi-ah! Very VERY crazy! Because I don’t see any fat on you.” Sticking her tongue out towards her friend, she hoped her friend really didn’t think she needed to lose any more weight. In fact, she was sure she was doing her a favor by feeding her and adding some definition to her skinny body. Taking a breath of fresh of air, she took a sip of water. With her wallet at hand, she was ready to pay for the meal if the girl was short on cash, or just simply did not want to pay.
