i feel like i've become a foolscream & shout, i want to hold & grab you Hyun Ki sat curled against window seat, listening to the soft hum of the car. The flight had seemed a lot longer than it was supposed to be, and he spent a majority of the time making his band mates calm down. They were so excited to get their shot in the Japanese music industry. They would be the first ones in Jae Byul Productions to do so in quite some time. And they had chosen the song that Dong Ri had created. And honestly he thought the song fit the maknae well. He was happy that he finally had a muse towards this career. At times, he felt like he had dragged the youngest boy into the industry when he didn’t want to be in the career. But Hyun Ki had seen so much potential, just as he had in Yi Jung.Adjusting himself he slowly felt his eyes opening. The other members had headed towards the hotel to unpack their things. Of course Hyun Ki and Seung Hyun would share a room in the penthouse while the other boys bunked together. But unfortunately the job of being a leader didn’t simply halt at performing or having just the title. No, he had to go ahead of the guys to do meet and greets with the Japanese hosts, radio shows, and those in charge of their concert. And it didn’t help the fact that he spoke Japanese fluently. Cry had made sure his cousin and his best friend would know the most important languages in the music industry, though Hyun Ki was still learning Chinese weakly.“When are we going to be there?” Hyun Ki grunted as he rose in his seat straightly. He could see the many buildings lining in Tokyo, wondering just how many of them they’d be singing in.Still grumpy and tired from the flight between Seoul and Tokyo. “I just want something to eat. Some Kimchi or something.” But then he recalled that they weren’t in Seoul…would they even have kimchi in Japan?charlie

There's something decidedly magical about Tokyo, from its silhouetted skyline to its tall buildings reflecting the sunset off the glass. Ling isn't sure if she's going to like it here-- because she doesn't speak any Japanese at all, and even with Jae Jin's handy pronunciation guide, she's fairly sure she's going to be too nervous to use it effectively-- but she's determined to make the best of the situation, because if all goes according to plan, she'll return to Korea an actual manager with a permanent group assignment rather than a spare set of hands with shifting daily assignments. At least, she hopes she will, because there's a lot hinging on this trip, more than just her hopeful semi-promotion. TKO is the first Jae Byul group in a while to try and break out on the Japanese scene, and Ling knows that this is important, so she needs to be on her best behavior and on top of things to make sure this goes off without a hitch.
Something like that, anyway. Even as she clicks away at the rubik's cube in her hand, she has a hard time focusing because her head is full of nagging what ifs, most of which she knows she's overthinking.
"Ah, I read online that they do have kimchi here in Japan," Ling replies suddenly, looking up from her hands to glance in Hyun Ki's direction, "or something like it, anyway. There's a dish called buta kimchi here that's pork and kimchi stir-fried together." She returns to her rubik's cube and falls silent, focusing on finishing it before returning to the conversation. "I did some research about the different types of street food they have here, and they have these fried dough balls with octopus inside called takoyaki that I'd really like to try." Ling tries not to be embarrassed by her horrible Japanese, but she finds it hard when she knows Hyun Ki has been studying for this opportunity, and the most she's done is look over the phrasebook Jae Jin had given her a few times.
"I can try to find somewhere close to grab dinner for you, if you'd like, Hyun Ki-ssi." She looks over at him again, smiling a bit. "I actually know how to use my map application now."

i feel like i've become a foolscream & shout, i want to hold & grab you He couldn’t help but smile at how funny she seemed with her app. What would be funnier was if it was written in Kanji or Katakana, or even Hiirigana. But still, the man gave a nod, agreeing that would be a good idea. He had to get something in his stomach before they found this place they were supposed to be at. He was sure it was the studio where they’d be preforming “Replay” for the fans of Japan. He wondered just how they’d react to their sound, their accents, and just them in general. He wanted to wow the fans here in Japan just as much as they had done in South Korea. If not more. Even though he knew they wouldn’t make number one their first time here, he had hopes to land at least high on their charts.A sudden soft jerking motion came from the car, causing Hyun Ki to sit forward in puzzlement. What was going on. “Sir.” He said in Japanese. “Is everything okay?”The man paused, sighing in frustration. “The car broke down, it will take me a little while to fix it.” Hyun Ki nodded, feeling his body falling back against the seat as his sight moved over towards his manager for the trip. “It looks like he said the car is out of order. He has to go fix it.” And as if on cue the man exited the car, popping the hood.“Damn it, I’m so hungry.” He whined. A spark came across his eyes, looking up with hopeful towards the woman. “We can go eat right? I mean, it will take him awhile to fix it. Maybe we could go play at the arcade and eat some of those things you were talking about. They can be held while we play games right?”charlie

The sudden jerk has Ling pushed forward against her seatbelt, and she looks up in alarm to make sure they haven't gotten into an accident in the time her eyes have been off the road. Luckily, as Hyun Ki tells her, the car is just broken down, which isn't much better, but it doesn't involve multiple insurance agencies and potential lawsuits. She frowns, since this means they're going to be late for the meeting studio, but it can't be helped at this point. Sighing, she unbuckles her seatbelt and stretches a little before looking over at Hyun Ki.
"I don't see why we can't go eat," she replies, "there are some places nearby. Let's go check them out." She exits the car and stretches again, glad to be standing rather than sitting, because she feels like all she's done is sit. Before she gets too far ahead of herself, she places a quick call to the studio representative to update him on the current situation (and she's more than a little thankful that he speaks Korean). Crisis averted for the most part, she turns back to look up at Hyun Ki.
"I'm not sure if any of the places around here serve buta kimchi, but takoyaki is a very common street food, so it shouldn't be that hard to find." She opens up the map application in her phone and searches for restaurants in the immediate vicinity. "There are a lot of places around here," she tells him. "There's a place for hot pot, and a place that apparently serves very delicious yakiniku."
i feel like i've become a foolscream & shout, i want to hold & grab you Tong Ling opened up her cellphone app, looking around at all the places that they could eat. The singer moved behind her frame, looking over her shoulder to get a good look at what their options were. At least it was in Korean, reading Japanese wasn’t exactly his forte. He could read it…but often at times he seemed to confuse his characters. They were extremely different from Korean in his mind. It had taken him such a long time to learn English, so jumping from dynamically separate characters made it harder to learn.“Uhh…just anything honestly. We can walk and you can tell me what sounds good to you.” Hyun Ki was true to the male stereotype. If it was food and it could fit in his mouth he’d eat it. Though, the only place he drew the line was if it dropped on the floor. He had his hygiene and image to think of. Though, he had to admit to picking up a few things when it was one of his favorite snacks.“Sound good?” He questioned, moving forward before he could give her too long to deliberate. Walking backwards he smiled at the girl. “Wherever we end up I’ll text them and let them know so we can get an estimate when to make it back to the car? Is there somewhere else you want to go after eating Tong-sshi?”charlie

"Ah, no, not really. It's probably best if we just eat and see where we're at." Ling isn't entirely sure where they are, anyway, or what other places there are to go. It's her first time ever in Japan-- her first time out of Korea since arriving for the first time what felt like eons ago-- so other than Shibuya, she isn't sure what all there is to do and see. She follows after Hyun Ki, phone clenched tightly in one hand as she moves, because she isn't too good at reading and walking at the same time.
"Well, restaurants in this area are abundant, apparently. There's hot pot, ramen, yakiniku, and a lot of street vendors. Yakiniku is grilled steak, I think, but there's also yakitori, which is grilled chicken." The more she reads, the hungrier she gets, until she swears she hears her stomach rumble in an attempt to get her attention. "If we want to eat quickly, street food is going to be our best bet." A cursory glance of the surrounding street yields a nearby tented stand, and Ling points in its direction.
