The restoration and tidy up of our s110r continues in kiwiland

A few shots - she's all stripped out, ready to wander off to the paint shop in a few weeks...

I'm in two minds about removing the guards - everything looks pretty ok, and if I go deeper I could open a can of worms wink.gif - I'll keep thinking about it...

Anyways - some pics

The front...

This was next pic is interesting...wondered what the hell this was...an additional cooling tank?? (Its in the transverse tunnel in front of the radiator)
...but no...a hidden stash box - a bolted in and painted ammo can...
The car was done up for a classic overland transcontinental rally a few years back - so I guess it was put in to hide valuables in safetly

...or maybe it had a more questionable use... blink.gif

The screen rubbers were nerfed - and lord know how much silicone had been fired into them - and we all know the risks of silicone!

Good point on the bumper irons tho - now so removed

s'ok, I'd already eaten smile.gif

flameproof overalls - are the best - on all counts !

Upholstery decisions to make as well....for the back seats I'm thinking black vinyl - or maybe fabric to match the front seats...but then the front seats will need reupholstered at some stage in the future... - decisions, decisions !

It depends who you are intending to go in the back. If you are intending to have scantily clad women or just children wink.gif in the back then vinyl will hurt when they try and peel themselves off sad.gif

I think fabric if the front is fabric so it all matches up/ Co-ordination is always a good thing in my view biggrin.gif

In my experience scantily clad women in the back seat of cars are ussually followed by kids biggrin.gif

I agree a match would prolly be best - if I can get something similar

i am doing my S110R yellow, simalar to the classic Buick gsx, with the black strip, so i'm thinking of having my seats done in black and yellow, not thought about the scheme too much its way off at the mo

what colour is the car gonnas be, same colour?
olive green leather maybe to contrast with the current colour, if its gonna be that

hmmm....green (or green flecked) upholstery is an option I guess !

I'll wait til the car returns from painting and go from there - I have to hunt down a colour code for the green yet, I think I've seen the colours listed in here somewhere, or on one of the other forums
