Welcome to Riverwood! Riverwood is a small, imaginary town set in Georgia in the fall of 2012. It's quaint, quiet, and everyone knows everyone. It's the sort of place you want to grow up in and come back to raise your children in. Located an hour from Atlanta, it's just far enough away to have its own little community. We are a mature, friendly board and we would certainly be happy to have you aboard.

It's finally cooling fown and the people of Riverwood are settling in for a nice, dry autumn. The leaves are changing and excitement is in the air for the college and high school gomecoming games. Not to mention the Murdoch's have resurrected their haunted house for the month.

November brings on the first dregs of legitimately cool weather. There's a few rainstorms but nothing too serious. Tension is in the air as RHS students prepare for upcoming midterms. And don;t forget to lock your secrets in the closets ... In-Laws are flooding in for the Thanksgiving holiday.

And just when you thought the in laws were gone until next year ... December shows up. Snow is falling in fluffly little flakes, the air is cold, and decorations are popping up everywhere for the holiday season. Schools are gearing up for end of the year concerts and activities and families are finding time to go shopping for Christmas.

Welcome Checking here and reading all the important threads is your first step to joining Riverwood! All the important 'you should know' things are posted here, so have a look.
Announcements Whenever there's something that the admins want to share with the members, it will be posted here. This includes things such as site-wide plots and change in months.
Questions and Suggestions If you have a question or want to suggest something to help out the site, just post away here and the admins will get to it ASAP.
Claims Make sure to post in the claims only after you've been accepted. Don't forget though, or else you could risk losing the play by if you don't post in the face claim.
Plot Discussion Is there a big plot that you have in mind with other characters and you need to figure out the details with people? This is where you can freely discuss said plot without spamming shippers.
Personal Things Blogs, journals, bucket lists, photo albums ... Use your imaginations! Whatever sorts of things your characters might have that is precious to them belong here.

Every year the RHS Social Committee and Student Council come together to bring you SPIRIT WEEK. This year, there's a multitude of fun; everything from spirit days to activities. Click inside to check it out!
The second biggest highlight of Spirit Week is of course the Homecoming Dance. This year it's Vegas Themed! Please remember the school dress code when selecting your attire. Gym Opens at 7:30 PM; dance starts at 8 PM and ends at 1 AM. NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ALLOWED
Every year starting October 1st, the Murdoch Family turns their old family plantation into a Haunted House. There's even a haunted maze this year, complete with twists, turns, and spooky surprises. It runs from October First to November First. Hours are 5 PM to 2 AM. General Admission is $10 a person/ $8 w/ Student Body Cards.
Classrooms This is where the learning happens, or in some students' cases, this where they can catch up on some sleep because they didn't go to bed the night before.

Library The rule of the library is simple; whisper if you want to speak. Any louder and the mean librarian will go and kick you out without caring if you have a big test to study for.
Auditorium To be or not to be, that is the question. All the big school performances happen here. If you want to sign up to be a part of the school play, sign ups are in front of the office.

Cafeteria Cafeteria food has never been good but now that they're trying to make things "healthier", it's pretty gross. Most students don't have time to go and buy food outside of school during lunch so they're stuck here.
Sports Fields These are the jocks' domain. Of course you don't have to be big and tough to play on them--many students like to have a quick pick-up game of soccer or football during lunch.
Anywhere Else Any place in the school that was not mentioned but you want to RP in (like the toilets if that tickles your fancy), this is the place to do it in.
Downtown Riverwood This part of Riverwood is where you'll find most of your small business and the quirky shops and things that you won't find in the mall. A few of the 'alleys' are closed off to cars and only bikes and pedestrians can take these streets, adding a very small town feel to the ever growing population of Riverwood, but still managing to keep that small town atmosphere.
Library The library is one of the oldest buildings in the town and is home to thousands of books about nearly every subject. If it's not there, the librarians would be more than happy to help get you a copy from another town or city.
Community Centre This is the place where people just get together and hang out. Also, the senior citizens have a bingo night every Friday, to the annoyance of the younger people.
Hospital Riverwood General Hospital is the only hospital in town but the doctors and nurses are all quite adept at their jobs. Some aren't so friendly, though.
Chattahoochee River The river flows not far from Riverwood; it's the reason Riverwood has it's name. In the summer it's an excellent place to have boat races and cool off, but in the winter it sometimes floods.
Upperclass Housing The gorgeous mansions and sprawling laws on Riverwoods wealthiest residents. these houses are spread out all over the city and some are even hidden just off a beaten path or two. But watch out for those 'No trespassing' signs -- they mean it!
Middleclass Housing These are the suburbs of Riverwood. They're your average size homes of the middle class citizens. Riverwood is by no means a big town, but its residential area is pretty, clean, and well kept.
Lowerclass Housing Located just on the other side of the local train tracks lies the worst part of Riverwood. It's not a pretty sight to take in and the houses here are sometimes falling apart, or just barely held together. Also across the tracks is the trailer park -- but watch out, most of the town drug deals have places out there.

Apartment Complexes Riverwood has two complexes: the nice, new ones next to the college that are mostly used for college kids and those with a steady job -- and the run down one out on the other side of the zoo.
