Charlotte had put a lot into planning the town's Halloween party. There was nothing that she loved more than parties, Halloween, and well planning. Okay, Nik, but that was the only thing she loved more than those other things. Of course, the entire party had not been planned by her alone. Charlotte and Sapphire had conspired together to make the party all that it could be and Nik had more or less given the two of them free range to do as they wished to the home. Inside and out, the house looked magnificent.

Tall skull torches lined the driveway, each one of them had flames coming out of their head. Seraphina had told Charlotte and Sapphire about a few chemistry tricks she knew to get the flames to burn different colours so not every torch burned orange. The front porch was decorated to appear very eerie and the theme continued inside. Fake cobwebs and spiders seemed to cover everything. The area where the adult party was taking place was decorated with full intent to scare. There was an open bar that served regular drinks, and special Halloween themed novelties. Many of the food also kept with the theme.

The haunted house was by far the most spectacular part! It had so many components. Things jumped out at the visitors, there were scenes of horror, a lot of fake blood (she wouldn't waste the real stuff). At the beginning of the haunted house there was one of those games where you stuck your hand into a dark box and tried to guess the body part contained inside the dark box in a plastic bag. It was going to be so much fun! There were frozen grapes that felt like eyeballs, spaghetti that had molded together to feel like a brain, and a bunch of other fun tricks. The actual haunted house was even cooler though and only for the brave of heart.

The backyard had been decorated too, tons of tomb stones, fake fog, and other fun surprises. Oh, and she had almost forgotten the best part of all! She, Sera, Saph, and Nik all had thrones for the evening. Admittedly, they had not planned on Sera having one since she wasn't Queen of the house. However, she had whined, cried, and complained that she was dressing as a Queen for Halloween and eventually both Lotte and Saph's hearts had softened; they had given in to her request. The thrones were beautiful, and perfectly crafted, they sat on a small platform in front of the dancing area. Lotte's throne sat to the right of Nik's since they were officially married, Saph's sat to the left of Nik's and Sera's sat beside Saph's. All in all, Lotte was extremely happy and excited about the party.

She had given the rooms one more look over before heading upstairs to help Saph and Sera dress. Sera had been a breeze, no matter how tight she yanked the bodice of the gown Sera just giggled and once she was all dressed she skipped down the stairs and sat proudly on her throne. Lotte had just rolled her eyes and gone to help Saph. Her first yank at the strings of Saph's corset had been a little too strong and Saph had call uncle, after that Lotte had been more careful. Once Saph was in her gown, Lotte had run to get ready herself. Her costume was so cute. She was an adorable little strawberry girl. She had strawberry shoes, stocking, and a cute little hat too. It was a great costume. Lotte adored it!

Heading downstairs she could see guest already arriving, it was getting about that time. Lotte was excited, she took her place on her throne after speaking to the DJ about the first song she wished to have played after the official welcome announcement was made. For the time being, the DJ was playing "house music." It wasn't very much longer until the majority of the guests had arrived, and others would come later. Smiling and accepting a Bloody Mary from one of the waiters she stood, as did Saph and Nik, and between them they made a welcoming speech and motioned to the DJ to get the party started. Raise Your Glass by Pink started to play and Lotte grabbed Saph and Sera tugging them towards the dance floor.

It was FINALLY Halloween! Saph hadn't been this excited last year for Halloween for two reasons. One) It was her mom's favorite holiday and it always bummed her out. Two)She was alone. Now Saph was sure as hell not alone anymore. She had a fanastic fiance,great best friends and let alone she had a niece as well! She has been helping Lotte plan this party and she never knew planning a party would be so damn fun! She and Lotte had seen some little throne things in town and they knew it would be a genius idea to have those for the two of them and Klaus. But of course,she couldn't leave out Sera since she was being a queen for the party. And....Saph had intended on setting up Sera with one of the teachers at the school,Dorian. He was attractive but not her type but she could see he was TOTALLY meant for Sera. So matchmaking is what she'd do.

Now the other part she was excited about was her costume. Normally,she'd never wear alluring things usually...but if you knew her several months ago or whenever...you'd see a different Saph than she was now. Saph was dressing up as Christine Daae from the Phantom of the Opera but her costume was from the movie version of the Point of No Return scene. After putting on her skirt,sash and shirt needed for the dress,she was getting to the part she hated. The corset. Damn corsets. These things hurt like hell. Luckily,she was glad to have a 'sister' in Lotte who was going to help her. When Lotte came to help her with her corset,the first time,it was a little tight causing Saph to yell 'Uncle uncle!' She didn't know where she heard it but she thought of the first phrase to come to her mind. But at the second time,it was a perfect fit. "Thank you,Lotte. You're an angel." Saph said to her with a grin as she slipped on the rest of her jewelry and the red rose in her long hair. She slipped on some black high heels on her feet so she wouldn't get stepped on.

By the time she made her way downstairs most of the guests had gotten there,she was surprised at the turnout. This was going to be a big party! Katherine told her that she and Elijah were coming and bringing Jenny! She had yet to meet her niece[and apparently goddaughter] yet. She made her way down the stairs and shortly made her way to her throne. As she slowly sat down in it,she gave a grin. "Holy hell..." She whispered. "This is amazing." Oh,yeah,she felt like a queen and she sure as hell loved it. Then as quickly as she realized it,it was time for drinks and a welcome speech. It felt nice to have eyes watching and not look at her in shame. She'd gotten that from Elena and her pals. Ugh,the annoyance. Before she had her chance to finish her drink,Lotte was dragging her and Sera out to the dance floor. She placed her drink on a table near her throne and followed. "No free will,huh,Lotte?" Saph called out with a laugh.

Klaus was so happy it was Halloween! Lotte and him had arrived back from Paris in pleasant moods. Everyone seemed to enjoy the wedding and everything so it made him happy. He held Jenny in his lap on his throne that Lotte was so clever of obtaining. Jenny squirmed in his arms and he let go of her waist and just smiled at her."Uncle Klaus, why is everyone dressed scary? Shouldn't they be dressed as princes and princesses?" Klaus smiled at her and then looked at everyone dancing.

"Well baby girl. That is a wonderful question! But it is Halloween to show their true selves. Surely you don't think I'm a prince?"His face asked her trying not to laugh. "No, you are a king! You have Auntie Charlotte! She is the Queen! Auntie Saph is a princess like me." Klaus smiled and set her down telling her he was going to dance with one of them. Jenny squealed and instantly pointed to Lotte and he winked and jumped down to Lotte.

The next thing Klaus did was take Charlotte's hand and instantly twirled her around so she was facing him. "Well, hello there!"He said giving her a smile before pressing her closer to him. "Jenny insisted on me dancing with you my love. How could I have said no?" He asked her giving Lotte a kiss and then looked at Jenny who gave him a thumbs up.

Dorian took a breath as he got into the mansion after passing by two large bodyguards. When Sapphire had invited him,he wasn't entirely comfortable about it. Besides her,he didn't really know anyone here. But Sapphire had told him a lot about her future sister in law,Seraphina and Dorian immediately knew she was going to set the two of them up. So,he might as well make a good impression. He was dressed this evening as Charles Brandon,the duke of Suffolk and the best friend of Henry VIII. He was dressed in a light green Tudor shirt with black pants and black boots. As soon as he got into the ballroom,he was keeping a look out for this Seraphina. All Sapphire told him was that she'd be dressed up as Anne Boleyn. (He just fiqured out the irony of himself being Charles Brandon tonight.) Sapphire told him that this Sera would be dressed in a red and gold regal dress with a crown on top of her head. Dorian's eyes searched around the room until he saw someone dressed in just that on the dance floor. This had to be Seraphina by his guess. Dorian wasn't expecting her to be....so...so...well,beautiful. Dorian didn't really go out much after his last heartbreak but...Sapphire was his co-worker and clearly wanted the best for her future sister in law and Dorian...was glad to be here. Now. His next step was going up to Seraphina. Let's hope she liked him.

Seraphina always fit in well at a party no matter what the era. Really, she fit in well anywhere there were men, alcohol, and dancing. Oh, and sex of course, but that came later. At least she hoped it came later because all of this not having sex was making her edgy. Screw the damn third house rule! She was going to, well, "screw" anyone she wanted and no stupid rule was going to stop her. Besides, she was just being a good hostess right? Had to make sure the guest's every needs were "satisfied." Smirking at the thought she scanned the room for an eligible candidate to dote on, but the only attractive people she saw were her brothers. How unfortunate. Looked like she was going to have to keep drinking until someone looked good enough to take to bed, but for now, she was going to go and dance with Saph and Lotte because clearly she had no choice in the matter.

Finally, the song ended. Not soon enough for Sera's like, but hey, it had been sorta fun, and now she was moving on to "crowd scanning" again. No, no, no, she thought to herself looking around the room from her place on her throne. Aha, bingo, cute guy dressed in Tudor clothing, we have a winner. Anyone who even remotely knew Sera would know she currently imagined one of those big flashy arrow signs that go ding-ding-ding right above his head. Now, all he had to do was pass her test.

Getting up and dancing her way across the dance floor, she skimmed by her target her skirts just lightly brushing against him. It only took Sera a moment of close proximity to tell a person's true intentions and how compatible she would be with them. He had good intentions...and if she had read his aura correctly they were very compatible. Now she just had to wait for him to join her at the bar for a drink. Ordering a Cherry Bomb she started to seductively play with one of the cherries in her mouth. There used to be a time when she could tie the steam into a knot with her tongue. She wondered if she still had that talent after her years in a coffin.
