There are the various races in a bit more detail for Rift.

Vampires: The most prominent race on our site, vampires are not the usual blood sucking fiends of legend here. They are stronger than humans, faster, and can not go out into daylight. But they act like normal people. They need to consume blood to survive. Within the race lies the Black Dagger Brotherhood. A war wages against the species, and the Brothers are powerful, defending the civilian vampires from their enemies at any cost.

Lessers: These creatures were human, once. They still look human, with the exception of having almost white hair and eyes. They are brutal, their purpose to destroy the vampire race. Instead of blood, they have an oily black substance in their veins, and the only way to kill them is a steel blade to the heart, which sends them back to their maker, The Omega.

Symphath: Similar to Vampires, Symphath's feed on blood. But they are a much darker, more deceptive species. They also feed off of emotions, and have some very twisted morals. Symphath's have the ability to get into a person's mind and draw out whatever they want to see. Because of their darker abilities, they are avoided and disliked by most of the vampire community. Known Symphath's are forced to live in a colony away from civilization.

Moore: Not much is knows about this species. They appear human, and have attributes close to those of vampires. It has been revealed that at least some members of the species can turn into a form of shadow, which is also a nickname for the race. They are adept at speaking through the mind, and for some reason, their blood is blue. Other than that, the race is very secret and not much else is known about them.

Humans: Without them, the world would be far less... well it would be less something. Generally, humans do not even know that the Vampires and other species exist, and the Vampires like it that way. As long as the humans keep out of the way, nothing bad will happen to them. But when have humans EVER behaved?
