The Reapers Of Rezephua

After starting out as a detachment of the Cult Of Tzeentch known in Old World as The Reapers the Rezephuan crowd has slowly alienated from their former morals and changed into something more. Concrete proof that Chaos can do good... Compared to other evil that is.

The Reapers Of Rezephua is a scholarly society driven to extend their knowledge of magic, pushing the boundaries of it's use and with that extend their own might. Sacrificing the souls of hapless victims to the Soul Changer is a necessary evil to accomplish their goals. One of their major fund raisers is the Reaper Arena, located just outside the grand city. The new headquarters are currently under construction in a patch of forest not far from the city.

Kael and his brother Sylvos are the leaders of this rogue pack of Scholars devoted to Tzeentch. Kael being a manager and Sylvos an Ambassador.

Sylvos is also the one responsible for the recent collaboration with the Floating Academy. Which is looking to exorcise a girl.

Name: Kael Sunstrider

Race: Daemon-Elf Hybrid

Rank: Grand Magus

Description: Kael is the leader of the local detachment of the Reapers Of Rezephua. As Grand Magus he has the ultimate power on what happens within the society although he heavily depends on his brother and the other Magi for guidance and approval on matters. Kael is a born leader and his attitude follows up on that. He's often cold and calculating with a dark sense of humour. Yet he rules with a fair sense of justice and doesn't mind too much about what happens. He's not eager in meddling with other's business. Kael stands nearly 8 foot with raven wings sprouting from his back and long recurved horns. Most of his body is coated in thick Chaos Armour-plating. His main goal is to keep Tzeentch pleased and the society thriving.

Background: Kael was born in Naggarond where he grew up. When he entered his teen years his affinity for the winds of magic was exposed and he as well as his brother, Sylvos, were forced to flee in exile. The nearest asylum they could find was the cold and harsh planes of the wastelands of chaos. When they arrived Tzeentch's gaze was drawn towards their talents. Not before long Kael was plagued by dreams and hallucinations invoked upon him by the changer of ways. Soon he succumbed and grew out to a grand sorcerer within the realm of chaos. Many gifts were bestowed upon him and soon he joined a cult of Tzeentch in the heart of old world, which also happened to be the place where he was dropped from the netherrealm. When he arrived there he was once again, quickly dispatched to Rezephua, a large group of cultists and acolytes following with him on the long and dangerous journey. Upon arrival the Reaper Arena was founded and the Reapers Of Rezephua took their hold in the city. Since then the society has grown a lot and so has Kael.

Name: Sylvos Sunstrider

Race: Daemon-Elven Hybrid

Rank: Ambassador/Magi

Description: Sylvos doesn't possess a talent equal to his brother but he does not stray for behind. Because of this Sylvos has a much more creative and kind mind. He enjoys his life rather than wasting it in devotion to Tzeentch. If Tzeentch approves his actions Sylvos is just fine with that. If Tzeentch does not approve of his actions he'll notice it soon enough. He stands just over 6 foot tall and even though he has entered pseudo-daemonhood he has not yet been blessed with chaos armour. Instead he wears his mindnight blue robes, granted to him as an Acolyted, since then they have received much adorning as the cause of rewards for work within the Reapers. Sylvos has pure green eyes that seem to radiate with daemonic fire, they light up brightly with clear blue when he channels large amounts of magic. Three pairs of holes have been made in Sylvos's robes, one pair on his back to accomodate for his raven like wings and one pair in his hood where his horns poke through along with the last pair just behind it for the points of his long elven ears.

Background: As his older brother Sylvos too was born and raised in Naggarond. He followed his brother into the wastelands and he too found himself on the path of change. Even though he possessed less talent for magic at the time, Tzeentch's path for Sylvos was laid out to much a different goal than Kael's. Eventually Sylvos grew out to be a sorcerer quite as capable as his brother yet with less bitterness.

When the Floating Academy hosted their arena of magic Sylvos was bound to represent Tzeentch's might and proved that nothing can triumph above it. Aided by the Mark Of Ghyran Sylvos slaughtered every opponent in he was to face before reaching the finals and claiming his price.

Since then Sylvos closed a deal with the Academy to exorcise a girl and perhaps go along with a student exchange program.

Anointed Of Tzeentch: 55pts (Night Goblin Warboss)

Ceremonial Robes Of The Acolyte Even though Sylvos has been blessed with many gifts it seems Chaos armour hasn't been one of them yet. As an ambassador of Tzeentch it's convenient to be dressed in robes anyway since they're less intimidating. Therefore, Sylvos still wears his ceremonial robes, the ones he received many years ago as an Acolyte. The heavy weave of fabric even provides a very light defence against incoming attacks yet it's more of an aesthetic purpose.
+3 Light Armour

Stave Of Tzeentch With increased magical presence the magical prowess of the servant of Tzeentch wielding this Staff increases as well. This heavy staff is carved out of hard wood which has been dyed in similar fashion to Sylvos's robes. It is heavily adorned with trinkets and tokens and can be used for parrying, melee combat as well as channelling the flame of change.
+5 Lucky’s Dirk: +1 Strength for every magic item carried by the opponent
+25 Spitefull Shield: Shield, for each roll of 1 in the to hit rolls of the opponent the opponent receives a S5 hit.

All Hope In Eclipse Sylvos has enchanted his robes to borrow the opponents defence in order to achieve a higher defence. This has proven to be a very effective defence over the years.
+25 Amulet Of Protectyness: When wounded, the bearer of this amulet counts as having the armour and ward saves of the opponent that caused the wound.

Master Of Sorcery In Sylvos his presence no anti-magical junk can protect you from a the might of flame of change.
+25 Tricksy Trinket: The Opponent may not use his ward save against attacks made by the bearer of this trinket.

Nuisance Sylvos absolutely despises Dwarves. From his point of view there is nothing good about them. They’re small, resist the flow of magic and carry enormous heaps of metal to protect they’re filthy ass. Hence Dwarves are utter abominations which should be annihilated as soon as possible. Sylvos also has a particular disliking of being outnumbered by hostile kin.
Hates Dwarves and fears elves unless he outnumbers them 2 to 1.

Name: Scarlyn, The Blighted

Race: Elven, former Asrai

Rank: Cenobite

Description: As an exile from the woods of Athel Loren Scarlyn's hatred burned deep into her heart and like her kin in Naggaroth she too grew close to the temptation of the four forces. Eventually Tzeentch coiled its way into her heart and her already present talent for magic as a spell singer grew beyond proportion. She infused the might of the 8 lores with the power and knowledge of Tzeentch. This makes her a dangerous opponent, even for such a young disciple.

Scarlyn is just under 6 foot tall and her once blond hair has taken on a deep shade of blue. She commonly wears traditional cenobite robes of light blue and golden fabric. She wears Sylvos's pendant from the Academy as it was a gift bestowed upon her from the Magi.

Background: Scarlyn goes by the don't ask don't tell moral..

Name: Skittle, Plix Plox

Race: Skink, Mutated

Rank: Cenobite

Description: Skittle is small, even for a skink. Even though his coat of rainbow coloured feathers make him a bit more poofy he's still only a few feet tall. Yet this skink harnesses a horrendous amount of power within him. After, accidentally, consuming the essence of a Lord Of Change within the Reaper Arena his body started to mutate rapidly and horribly as did his naive mind. He grew a coat of rock-hard feathers that coat his entire body and a crackling aura of magic engulfs him at all times. Within Skittle's mind grew an arcane intellect that surpasses that of many mortals yet his silly skink brain couldn't comprehend most of it so it remains dormant for now.

Background: Skittle spawned in Rezephua with a curious instinct that eventually caused his.. change. During the first reaper arena he ended up trying to investigate a hidden purpose behind the hosting of the arena and literally stumbled upon the essence of a Lord Of Change which was being used to channel the souls of the fallen to Tzeentch. When Skittle took a closer look at the strange, and unguarded, object it's crackling aura send a small spark into his face triggering the skink's instinct to snap at it with it's razorsharp fangs. As the little mouth closed around the ethereal energy it released the Lord Of Change's might into the Skink's body which caused it to rapidly change into the malformation it is nowadays.

Exhalted Skink Of Tzeentch: 110pts (Exhalted Hero)

Feather Of Steel These extremely tough and hardened feathers come in a variety of different shapes and sizes. They provide a fair amount of protection for this small skink.
Armour Of Damnation's Chaos Armour part: 4+ Armour Save.

Scaly Skin Underneath the feathers Skittle is still a skink. Therefore he has a scaly leather skin to protect him from harm.
+5 Shield: +1 to Armour Save. (3+)

The Mark Of Tzeentch Skittle bears the ever-burning Mark of Tzeentch and has a natural capacity to manipulate magic and a presceince that enables him to alter reality's course.
+15 Talisman Of Protection: 6+ Ward Save.
+10 Mark Of Tzeentch: +1 to Ward Save. (5+)

Aura Of Change A crackling aura of change surrounds Skittle, it can divert the strongest of blades and sometimes even launch them back into the face of his assailant.
+16 Barded Chaos Steed: +2 to Armour Save (1+). 1 Attack at S4, Ws3.
+45 Armour Of Damnation: Chaos Armour, opponents must re-roll successful to-hit rolls.
+40 Father Of Blades: Any 'to hit' rolls directed against the bearer that result in a roll of a '1' instead hit the attacker.

Sweet, Fluffy's an inspiration!

One question I have: Is Kael legal now? GW have just screwed up the chaos forces, after all. The CoH really isn't that bad an alternative, though the Gaze of the gods would certainly be more accurate fluffwise.

As for the fluff, it's interesting. A druchii cult of Tzeentch is certainly original. Could be interesting. I'll be phasing in a bit more of the Dawn Killing Fields soon, so I'll be looking forwards to your next arena.

I'm sorry to dissapoint though as Fluffy aint the inspiration for Sylvos.. Furt was the inspiration.. (Furt is the Gobbo owned by Silas, which is someone I know)
