SECOND CHARACTER RULES


Before registering a third character please read and follow these rules:
  • You MUST have admin permission before even applying for a second character, regardless if canon or original. You must have 50 IC posts with your first character before applying for a second character. Admins reserve the right to deny anyone the ability to apply for a second character, given they provide reasons for their actions.
  • If you choose to have a second character, it must be of a different group than your first. (IE X-Man, Junior X-Man, etc.)
  • If your first character is an original then your second MUST be a canon character.
  • In order to keep both of your characters you must inform a member of the administration of both your characters, should you be inactive for a substantial period of time, otherwise it will be deleted. It is your responsibility to let the administration know of all your characters.
  • No one-on-one role-playing with yourself. Plain and simple.
  • If you already have a Junior X-Man character, you may not have a second.

THIRD CHARACTER RULES

You must have at least 75 IC posts on your first character, and 50 IC posts on your second character before requesting a third character. Admins reserve the right to deny anyone the ability to apply for a third character, given they provide reasons for their actions.
  • Third characters are, for the most part, 'wild cards' when it come to their positions, however it is highly suggested that you make your third character a different position than your previous two.
  • Third characters may be canon or original - however, if for some reason you have not taken a canon up by now, your third character must be a canon.
  • Mutant powers of second characters (and any new characters, on that note) should not enroach on the powers of any existing students/X-men/etc.
  • In order to keep all of your characters you must inform a member of the administration if one of your accounts is going to be inactive for a substantial period of time, otherwise it will be deleted.
  • No one-on-one role-playing with yourself.

NON-PLAYABLE CHARACTER RULES

For the time being, there is no limit on the number of NPCs any member may have, though as long as it does not get out of hand. To help limit this, there are a few set rules.
  • NPCs must be either a teacher of Revolution Academy or a plot-based character, such as Hank McCoy.
  • No canons or Junior X-Men may be turned into an NPC.
  • Members must have two well-played characters before asking for an NPC; qualifications are the same as if the member is applying for a third character.
  • Post standards still apply; 350-word post count minimum.
  • These rules apply only for NPCs with an account of their own. Personal NPCs, the ones that do not get their own account to post with, such as a frequently visiting sibling or friend, may have their profile posted in the NPC forum after it is approved by administration via the Application forum. Do not use this as an excuse to come up with a whole new character. NPCs are not meant to be played-out as much as regular characters.
Even if you already have a character on the boards, you must provide an RP sample!

Revolution Academy has been up and running since September 2005. Our members are dedicated to telling a story rather than just engaging in drama and we pride ourselves on giving them an environment in which they can do so. We are an intermediate board and, as such, ask for 350 words minimum per IC post. Our main aim is to provide a fun place where people can work on and, hopefully, perfect the art of writing and are more than willing to help anyone who truly wishes to improve and become part of our game. All in all we are a friendly board with friendly members and helpful staff, so if this sounds like the sort of place for you, don’t hesitate to join up or drop us a line in the c-box.

When signing up please select a first and last name and use proper capitalisation. Anything that deviates from this will be deleted without notice.


















Blood is being shed, and there’s no telling who will continue standing where they initially rose. Some will change sides after a revelation, while others will remain headfast and steady. The mutants had harbored no ill will toward human kind, though there are rumors that they will longer take the insults any longer. They once desired peace and harmony, where both races could be considered as equals.
Now they want revenge.

Nights are getting longer and the days are getting colder as New York finds itself hurled into the depths of WINTER. Forecasters as predicting a particularly cold one this year with more than its fair share of snow, rain, sleet and ice that brings with it the promise of a white Christmas. But don’t forget to wrap up warm, we wouldn’t want you missing the seasonal festivities!
