Cure Outrage Hits City.
Earlier this week a rumour hit New York claiming that the mutant X-gene cure was not in fact a cure but rather a temporary suppressant. Since that time a growing number of mutants, who claim to have taken the cure, say that their powers have returned to them. Mutant rights activists are said to be furious at this news, some even claiming that the cure was just an excuse to experiment upon mutants without their knowledge.

However, there are still daily queues, outside the clinic, of mutants hoping to be administered the cure. Thus far the government and the agency that manufactures the X-gene cure have refused to comment on these claims. Fearing reprisals from formally de-powered mutants a military task force has been dispatched to work along side the Stark Industries Sentinel, to keep the peace in the area.

In most cases it has been seen that the cure lasts for around seven to eleven months before it begins to wear off. We’ll have more on this story throughout the week.

Sentinel Initiative a Winner!
In just over two months, crime in the area surrounding the clinic famous for being the only in Manhattan to distribute the mutant X-gene cure has dropped dramatically. Stark Industries have regarded this as an unmitigated success and have announced that they are in the process of distributing more of the Sentinel units across the country. Similar results have already been seen with the units in Chicago, Washington and Miami.

Tony Stark was not available for comment on this matter but it is rumoured that he is pleased with the success of the project that he, himself, designed. A spokesperson for Stark Industries has revealed that the company is hoping to lower the crime-rate across the country by at least fifteen percent by the year 2020.

Mutant Rights Rally.
After months of red tape and licensing issues it has finally been announced that a Mutants Right protest is to be held at the ‘Cure Clinic’ in downtown Manhattan. Mutant Rights activists have been recorded stating that this could not have come at a better time with claims that the mutant cure was nothing more than an excuse to test drugs on mutants.

There will be a strong contingency of riot police at the rally, though the group running the event insists that they wish it to be a peaceful protest. The Stark Industries Sentinel which has taken up permanent residence on the street will remain for the event and will be on high alert to any dangerous activity happening in the area along with the newly stationed task force.

Revolution Academy has been up and running since September 2005. Our members are dedicated to telling a story rather than just engaging in drama and we pride ourselves on giving them an environment in which they can do so. We are an intermediate board and, as such, ask for 350 words minimum per IC post. Our main aim is to provide a fun place where people can work on and, hopefully, perfect the art of writing and are more than willing to help anyone who truly wishes to improve and become part of our game. All in all we are a friendly board with friendly members and helpful staff, so if this sounds like the sort of place for you, don’t hesitate to join up or drop us a line in the c-box.

When signing up please select a first and last name and use proper capitalisation. Anything that deviates from this will be deleted without notice.

Blood is being shed, and there’s no telling who will continue standing where they initially rose. Some will change sides after a revelation, while others will remain headfast and steady. The mutants had harbored no ill will toward human kind, though there are rumors that they will longer take the insults any longer. They once desired peace and harmony, where both races could be considered as equals.
Now they want revenge.

Nights are getting longer and the days are getting colder as New York finds itself hurled into the depths of WINTER. Forecasters as predicting a particularly cold one this year with more than its fair share of snow, rain, sleet and ice that brings with it the promise of a white Christmas. But don’t forget to wrap up warm, we wouldn’t want you missing the seasonal festivities!

It has to be said we’ve all been eagerly watching this pair of fuzzy blue folks wondering how they’re going to cope with each other presences at the academy... And whether anyone is going to complain about all the blue fur blocking the sinks. Great work so far guys, we can’t wait to see more!
