biggrin.gif Very nice model from such an old kit. I.C.M do a range of I-16s in 1/72 scale and the best I-16 in 1/48 is the Eduard kit. Hobbycraft olso do one but the Eduard kit is far superior. Keep up the good work, Frank.

Have always liked this kit and you've done a splendid job with it. One of my first kits way back when, dark green plastic and not painted. Recently acquired another with the intention of painting it up as a Spanish Republican type 10. I know the Revell kit is a type 24 but are there any obvious differences?

Regards, Steve

Yep, the 24 has a tailwheel whereas the 10 had a skid probably.
Other than that you could probably build it as a 10 straight out of box.

The Academy 48 scale I-16 is a repackaged Hobbycraft kit, it's not a terrible kit so still worth getting and they can be got cheap (at least they could be got cheap not so long back)

I've just ordered a type 24 & 28 by ICM in 1/72 scale.
They are supposed to be nice kits.

Not sure what the differences are, maybe i'll do a comparison when they arrive.
