I'm not fussed, we will be able to look over the River Colne from inside hides or watch over the saltings from a visitor centre. We're going to Fingringhoe Wick near Colchester. Hopefully the army will be taking this afternoon off and not be using the ranges that are nearby! peebeep

Only one little raptor (a Hobby) to report, but a very enjoyable afternoon observing waders close to the River Colne and at nearby Abberton Reservoir. John, I've always had a passing interest in ornithology but only in the last couple of years have Mrs B and myself been getting out and about to actually watch. She enrolled us in the Essex Wildlife Trust so we have access to places where we can visit and make use of the bird watching facilities. peebeep
