Title: Assault on the BRL Warehouse
Description: Reid, Seis, Becca, Seth
Konti - April 5, 2012 04:12 PM (GMT)
Control of the entire operation had been given to Reid, a notion that he wasn’t quite comfortable with but came with his title. He always felt that he was a better soldier when he didn’t have to worry about the rest of his forces but alas, the task had been thrust on him as the most senior officer present. It was a cold, dreary day on the Boise frontier and the wind began to cut through Reid’s flight suit, causing him to shiver slightly and wish for the warmth of his Knightmare. During the tactical meeting he had offered a strategy of a blitzkrieg offensive, assuming their numbers would be greater than a smaller BRL force attempting a covert operation. That meeting had happened hours ago and Reid still felt a pit in his stomach from speaking his mind in it. But there would be time for fear later, if he survived the battle that was.
Looking over the list of squads and soldiers he briefly skimmed the list of usual suspect. He, Becca, and a host of other squads that were always active. Although there were a couple new squads, more than likely added due to the size of the operation and the amount of terrain that needed to be covered. Placing the sheets back where he found them, Reid walked a short distance to his KMF and stared up at the metal behemoth. The menacing look that was given off by his Gareth was a complete foil to the look of worry and panic that his own face wore. He had always made his decisions on instinct but that was because they were his decisions. What if things went wrong? What if the BRL are waiting when they get there? There were so many unknowns that it made Reid’s head spin. But it didn’t matter. He’d have to live with the consequences, whatever those were.
It was about time to begin though; there were still last minute adjustments to be made and orders to be given out. As Reid barked out orders and called out names he began to feel slightly more confident. If everything was going to be on his shoulders then he’d do things his way! As soldiers scurried to and fro the forward camp was alive with activity, frames moving out and battle shouts resounding from various squads.
Seis - April 5, 2012 09:37 PM (GMT)
Settling into the command couch of his knightmare as it slid into position inside of the cockpit, Seis did his best to suppress the nervousness he was feeling now that the go order had been given. The breathing and meditation exercises he'd picked up as a part of his martial arts training were helping in that regard, but nothing he could do would be able to curb the emotions entirely. Would any of that pass with time? Experience and first hand knowledge of the harsh realities of combat dulling his feelings in that regard, or did even the most seasoned veteran go through this sort of thing before engaging in a sortie? A part of him wished that it didn't, as that implied a certain level of lost humanity to become so hardened. Still, that might be worth it if it meant he didn't have to worry about forcing his hand to not shake as it grabbed a hold of the controls.
Powering up his Vincent, the energy filler showing a full capacity and all weapons systems reporting readiness, he did one last survey of his gauges and then keyed the activation stud on his earpiece. "Kusanagi here, reporting condition green. Ready to deploy on your command Lead."

Becca shuffled straight to her Gareth after that little incident earlier, she had to get away from the crowd, she had caused too much of a scene back there. It made her even wonder if she was fit to hold her badge. However, she quickly pushed such thoughts to the back of her mind, there was a mission at hand after all and it was about time for deployment. The very least she could do was take out her frustrations on the BRL as opposed to keeping her emotions all bottled up like usual. Shutting her eyes for a moment, she became slightly entranced in her thoughts.
Alright Becca...you can do this...just start everything up like you always do at the beginning of a mission...
Climbing into her Gareth, she then began booting up all of her controls as well as the com link network. Upon doing so, her cockpit filled with the voices of her fellow soldiers, all confirming that they were ready to deploy at command. Becca soon could say the same for herself once everything was in order. At this point she was ready to get all of this nonsense over with.
"This is Buchanan, I'm ready for deployment as well!" she stated in a rather confident tone.
Takeo - April 9, 2012 04:10 AM (GMT)
"What are we looking at?""Milord, we are looking at possibly six knightmares a handful of ground forces followed by an air force. All seem to be on par with specs of the new Britannian Military."
Takeo crossed his arms thinking as he did. There was too much valuable resources here, and to lose them might cause a weakened foothold in this area of Britannia. As he looked at the holomap expecting some kind of miracle to come to mind.
The Command Room. (Be warned it's a massive picture)"Lily get the AA guns up and charged. I want them to hold fire to give the illusion that we have been caught by surprise. Gray 2 I want you to find me a field officer that won't run at the sight of danger. He's going to lead a convoy of Sakuradite trucks out of the back of the base through the escape exit. Once they are all through blow the exit, and cause a cave in. I don't want that convoy to be found. Gray 3 and 5 I want you to keep an eye on Seth. Seth I want you to maintain position and when the time is right bring 3 and 5 with you on a choke manueuver. If I can I would like to avoid using the Solais unless needed. We don't need the enemy gathering data on it. That being said I will command from here for the time being. Lily I want you to gather all forces and prepare for the operation. Nothing goes wrong here. Am I clear?!""YES MILORD!"
All the soldiers, and personnel in the base began making preparations as the Britannians began to warm their knightmares. This would be a small skirmish, but bloody. At least Seth will be happy. As requested the alarms were not raised to give the Britannians the feeling of surprise. Grey squadron warmed their knightmares getting ready in the launcher. The side of the mountain was ready to open up and unleash the 2 knightmares not with Seth. They would be the surprise force. With only 2 tanks in the base and a handful of fighters there wasn't much to work with, but it was possible to defend the base given that strategy didn't fail them.
"Avenging Squadron lock in your attack coordinates and prepare for liftoff."
"Omega Armor get ready for a mortar strike on the enemy position. I understand that the range of the mortar doesn't reach them, but I want that position pelted with fire to prevent a full out rush. Make a no man's land between us and them."
"Tower guards get ready to lay as much chain fire as you can on that area. I want bunkers, or trenches to be their only option. Slow the enemy at all costs."
"How are the engineers? Can they make repairs as needed? What's the situation on our supplies. How long can we stand the assault before needing to evac?"
"Are the trucks loaded and ready to go? Then start moving them through the caves."
"What do you mean the armory is missing a few anti-tank rounds. Fine we'll make due. Make sure that you submit a report after the evacuation."
"Technicians are wiping the computers as we speak Major."
"All soldiers and weapons accounted for. Ready for defense major."
"Sir? The troops might need some words before the operation."
"Understood. Seth? I know you don't like following orders, but in order to succeed you need to swallow your pride just this once, and not screw this up. Is that clear soldier?"
"This war has brought us pain and suffering and loss. But it's also brought us together-- as soldiers, allies, and friends. This bond that ties us together is something that the New Britannians will never understand. It's more powerful than any weapon, stronger than any ship. It can't be taken or destroyed. The next few hours will decide the fate of everyone on this base. Every mother, every son, every unborn child. They're trusting you. Trusting that you'll win them their future with the BRL. A future free from a monarchy headed by a child, and her servants that follow a new code. But take heart. Look around you. You are not alone. We face this enemy together, and together we will defeat them."Many of the soldiers cried out a victory cry. As if they had already won. This wasn't a battle to be won, however, it was one to survive. Even the BRL admit that if one soldier was left standing at the end. The fight was worth all the death and pain. Most people would think that this was an irrational thought, but they don't know that for all the fighting one of the BRL's main stays was always: 'Victory at any cost. May I give my life for Britannia.'
The entire base was ready now, and the defenses were set. There was only one word needed to secure their plans. The word of ignition. All they needed was the Britannians to start their attack.
drogoth232 - April 9, 2012 07:44 PM (GMT)
Seth stood with his arms crossed in the BRL control room. So, the Britannian Military dared to attack them? They would regret such a decision, oh they would. Staring directly at the map, Seth wasn't paying much attention to what was actually going on. As a matter of fact, he was thinking of his sister:
Haven't seen Wendy in a while... A long while actually. I should probably drop by and say 'hi' or something. Soon as this is over, ofcourse. But it shouldn't be that long.
He was pulled out from his thoughts when Takeo mentioned his name:
"Yeah, yeah I'll do it. No need to get your panties in a bunch. I would have done it myself, even if you didn't ask me to do it."
Wow, I can't believe it. I actually get some competent people this time around.
Looking around the room, Seth could feel the tension slowly rising. This wasn't a fight to try and win. This was the exact opposite. This was a fight to try and live, and survive. It was right then that Takeo was inspired to give them a speech. It was a heck of a speech, alright. But it was more for those who had doubts in their abilities and potential. Nonetheless, Seth let Takeo finish.
Leaving the room with the other two pilots in tow, Seth made his way towards his Knightmare. Sliding in, Seth set up a line between the three.
"You guys ready?"
"If we weren't we wouldn't be here, would we?"
Seth smiled, these two weren't going to go down without a fight. And they'd probably take down a few knightmares along with them.
"Keep up with that attitude, and we might just destroy them"
The plan was ready, the pieces set. The only thing left was the signal for them to start.
Konti - April 9, 2012 09:01 PM (GMT)
As the cockpit of his knightmare finished sealing Reid sensed a finality in the air, as if this was the end of a long period of delaying. It was up to the group of them, a small force, to go in and see to the end of the BRL control in that territory. It was then that a councilor spoke into Reid's earpiece, saying "Major Legato, shouldn't you say something to your squad?" Concuring, Reid opened up a channel to each unit and took a deep breath.
He then Spoke, "The time has come to reach out to our fellow Britannian brothers and sisters and yank them back into place. We fight not to devastate our opponents but to show them to the error of their ways. I don't know why you're here today. Some of you are here for glory, others for respect. And yet still, some of you are here for peace and justice. No matter your reasons we must all come together and see this mission through to the end. I urge you, watch your neighbor's back with the confidence that they are watching yours. We may be few, but we are a mighty few. We are greater than the sum of our parts. And as such, we shall move onward... To Victory!!!!!"
With that, Reid cut off communications and waited for the right moment to give the go order. Every second he delayed was a second more that the BRL could have had to prepare. But he was almost sure that they had no idea of the force coming to them. No, Reid was quite confident that they would get the drop on the BRL. And yet, there was something within him that screamed differently. While they were currently quite far from the projected location of the base the unit had seen no sight of BRL surveillance. It seemed unlikely that they would leave a base of this importance so... Unguarded. No, something didn't feel right at all but Reid attributed it to his nerves attempting to get the best of him. Taking a deep breath Reid gave to order to move out.
Seis - April 9, 2012 09:27 PM (GMT)
Rolling his eyes as their commander went into the traditional style motivational speech, Seis did his best to keep his mouth shut so as not to interrupt. He may have found it a tad cliched personally, but that didn't mean that there weren't other people in the unit who didn't need to hear what Legato had to say. Hopefully it would do a better job of soothing their nerves then it was doing for his, though the small laugh it gave him was certainly welcome at the moment. As soon as the speech was over, he found himself flooring the accelerator. The sound of his landspinners kicking into high-gear on the rugged terrain like music to his ears as his Vincent launched itself forward. "Katana, rolling out."
EmoBunny - April 10, 2012 12:06 PM (GMT)
Becca smirked at Reid's inspirational speech, feeling that it was pretty good to say the least and that most of the soldiers probably needed something to hype them up before battle if they weren't already fired up. Becca heard several chants over the com link, causing her again to smirk. It seems that the troops had pride in their commander, it was nice to see that a superior was receiving the respect they clearly deserved. With a few taps on her controls, she booted up her landspinners and rolled on out with the rest of the units. It was odd to her, she barely used her landspinners and instead fought most of her battle in the air using her energy wings. In fact, out of pure habit she almost activated them for a moment but quickly caught onto her mistake.
Once away from base camp, Becca rolled her Gareth onward until everyone went into formation. So far so good, it was unusually quiet though on the BRL's side and she wondered what exactly they had up their sleeves. She had no idea for sure whether or not they knew the BM was on the way, but then again she figured for sure they had received some sort of intelligence about it.
"Stay on your toes everyone...."
Even though they were in the homeland, there was a possibility that the BRL knew the terrain better here.
Takeo - April 17, 2012 02:55 AM (GMT)
"Hold steady everyone."
The Britannian forces started closing in bit by bit. They were being cautious, but not enough. It seemed like a smaller portion of the force had started to get a little closer than the rest. It was almost time to strike. Every soldier in the base was ready to pull the trigger and release the ambush, but what little could be done from attacking this early would be contradictory.
"Hold."
When they were a little closer, and the main force was even more so Takeo looked at Lily giving the ok to fire. She opened up a comm to Omega Armor to begin the mortar strike. The Machine gun towers awaited eagerly thinking that they would be ordered to fire as well. Omega lined up the shots and was ready. The Machine turrets were locked in as well.
"Now Lily!"
"Defense perimeter: OPEN FIRE!"
Without hesitation the entire defensive perimeter of the base lit up in a blaze of mortar and gun fire. The whistling of bombs from Omega could be heard as they dropped down on top of an unsuspecting tank. The Turrets began firing on the ground troops as they began to scatter.
"Seth wait until they are well within the strike zone then take them out. I give you free reign. No one leaves this base alive, or until the evacuation is complete. Go have fun. Grey 1 and 2 make sure that our Demon isn't exorcised before his fun has been had."
"Yes Milord!"
"Milord the Solais is in the hanger awaiting you. Should we prep for launch?"
"Very well. Lily I'm moving to the field. Maintain order here, and give me updates on the evacuation. How are we looking so far?"
"Sir, we are at 20%. The evacuation should be quicker if you can stall them. It would be greatly appreciated."
Takeo didn't have to hear the end of that sentence. He made his way towards the hangar. Placing his communicator around his neck with the attached ear piece. All chatter would be heard from this point on. He would also wait until Seth made his strike on the moving Britannian forces.
drogoth232 - April 18, 2012 07:22 PM (GMT)
Aaaany minute now.... Any minute
Time seemed to trickle slowly as Seth waited for the command to go. After what seemed like forever Seth finally heard Takeo give the command to go.
"Have fun, eh? I'll make sure of it... Jacob and Kyle, lets get going. Landspinners from here. We can activate the Energy Wings when we get close."
Activating the rarely used Landspinners, Seth took off. Taking care to stay in the undergrowth, Seth quickly saw that they reached open ground. And unfortunately there was no cover for them.
"There should be some cover around here... Bah screw it! Jacob, Kyle roll down with Landspinners, when we pick up enough speed activate the Wings. Take out as many as you can!"
Zooming down the small decline, Seth kept an eye skyward to make sure that they hadn't been spotted.
Come on, just a bit longer...
Konti - April 21, 2012 09:11 PM (GMT)
As the BRL base erupted with activity Reid quickly shouted "Units disperse! Stay out of the middle! If the BRL wanted to make the center of the field a hotbox then they had succeeded in doing so. There was no chance of going through the middle of the now desolate field but they had to press forward. Reid then called out over the intercom "Proceed with caution! Avoid grouping together, their mortars will struggle targeting smaller groups. " He then settled in and waited for an opening to advance his own unit.
OoC: Sorry for the short post. Just this much took me at least a day to make... I feel so horrible when it comes to writing right now. T-T
Takeo - April 23, 2012 02:20 AM (GMT)
"Major Christov you should go with the escort. We can't risk them being assaulted in full retreat."
"Damnit. You're right. I'll head out with the escort and make sure the rest get out safely."
Takeo took off in his knightmare as the gate shut in the base and the first half of the convoy escaped the assault.
(Well guys it's been fun, but I have to leave now to be in the actual military. Enjoy. Bunny knows, but D is the official owner of the BRL until I return, or if I return.)
Seis - April 23, 2012 05:58 PM (GMT)
Cursing under his breath as the field disintegrated into chaos around him, Seis floored his accelerator and began a high-speed evasive pattern reminiscent of the one he used for his motorcycle when on mountain roads. Whoever had said the BRL didn't know that they were coming had seriously screwed the pooch, this ambush had been to well coordinated for sheer dumb luck. Thankfully their CO was on the ball, ordering them to break formation and avoid tight groupings almost instantly. His quick thinking would hopefully save a fair number of their comrades, but it wouldn't mean much if they didn't get to that depot.
Seeing as he was now free to maneuver as he wished, he switched on his energy wings and proceeded to execute three blinding leaps before taking to the skies where the fire was thinner. The odds of running into an enemy knightmare up here may have been higher, but he was more comfortable with the wind at his back and so felt that he had nothing to fear. Well that wasn't quite right as he was still on edge, but he was certainly calmer now that he was airborne.
EmoBunny - April 23, 2012 11:36 PM (GMT)
Becca agreed with the decision Reid made to split up the group. If everyone had traveled through this unknown terrain in one big group the surely they would've been wiped out in mere seconds, not even knowing what had hit them. The Britannian Military could not afford to lose this battle to the BRL, too much has happened to allow them another slice of glory. So she separated from the group and carefully rolled forward through the terrain with her landspinners. She hadn't gone that far away from her comrades, but it was far enough so that she wouldn't be targeted. The Garth was quite a large knightmare, but it did have its armor so that should keep her safe if someone did attempt to pull an assault. However, with her Gareth type, the armor had been weakened somewhat. By how much, she did not know, they had sill yet to run tests on that factor even though she's been piloting this machine for a short while now. Perhaps it was because she had been doing so well that they didn't bother to find out and no one yet had damaged her frame enough for anything but minor repairs.
Hmmm, I'm not one for a long ranged type of ambush....this machine more of the close ranged type after all. Then again, what good would two big power draining hadrons do me in this circumstance? Somehow I guess I have to remain stealthy in this bulky machine so I can get up close and destroy some units. MAN would this be easy if I had one of those fancy Lancelot Spade units the BRL use...they're so fast and light from what I've seen...
Becca abruptly stopped once she spied two enemy units ahead, a duo of Glouchter DX. They shouldn't prove that big of a problem, but she didn't want to alert them of her presence. She quickly rolled her Gareth into a large amount of brush and watched the enemy's actions from her screen. Not that she needed to confirm it, but them being in this area truly shows that there is a BRL warehouse around here. She slammed her fists on her controls over the fact that her superiors had let this go on under the Army's nose.
And now we have to mop up their mistakes.....
drogoth232 - April 30, 2012 07:02 PM (GMT)
Seth was about to burst in anticipation. It seemed as if time slowed down an immeasurable amount. He was about to give the command to go until he saw one of the Britannian Knightmares take off:
"Now! Lets go! Jacob stay on the ground to make sure we aren't caught by surprise"
Activating the Energy Wings, Seth took off with Kyle right behind him. Pulling out one of the two MV Swords, Seth spun into the fray grinning
Finally some action! But if I'm not mistaken, I don't have much time. Half of the convoy should be gone by now...
Konti - May 2, 2012 08:12 PM (GMT)
In an instant troops began to fade from Reid's display. As their blips faded each was accompanied by a scream cut short by their transmissions ending. Reid quickly exclaimed "Somebody tell me what the hell is going on out there!!!! We're losing units left and right!" quickly rolling forward with his Gareth's landspinners Reid began to move closer to the battlefield, the sound of mortars causing his ears to ring. As he moved Reid conacted Becca on the Radio, saying "Major Bucannan, what is your status? We're losing both ground and troops at a staggering rate, do you know what's going on?" In the back of his mind Reid thought I'll be having a serious chat with our higher ups. It seems like every operation involves the BRL being perfectly prepared... Something isn't right, they're too well prepared for an upstart group. Is there a mole in our midst? No, its too early to think that. Returning to the task at hand, Reid began to scout out an angle of attack on the base.
Seis - May 2, 2012 08:53 PM (GMT)
As if the universe disapproved of his sudden change in sentiments, Seis' proximity alarm began to wail in warning. Taking a quick glance down at his displays in order to get a vector for the new contacts, he whipped his machine around and let loose a short burst of suppressive fire from his assault rifle. This bought him enough time to evaluate the opposition, identifying them as a Lancelot Spade and Gloucester DX respectively. This was certainly going to make things interesting, as while he was confident that he could handle the modified Gloucester without too much trouble, the Lancelot was going to be another issue entirely given who they usually handed those out to. His best bet was to eliminate the lesser threat quickly, thus allowing him to focus his full attentions on the ace.
With that thought in mind, he folded his wings around the azure frame of his Vincent and angled toward the oncoming knightmares before kicking his throttle into high gear. Utilizing the impressive speed offered his unit by the energy wing system, he attempted to execute a blitzing maneuver by blurring through the enemy formation. Once on the other side of them he snapped his machine around again and let loose an extended burst of fire toward the Gloucester with one hand, using his other to draw his own MVS just in case the Lancelot got any ideas.
EmoBunny - May 5, 2012 10:24 PM (GMT)
So much for sneaking around, combat had already ensued throughout the whole area and the two frames ahead of her had become alerted of her presence. She didn't mind much however, especially since her unit was one of Melee and she needed to get a close in attack. However, she didn't exactly favor going against two units at once. A light in her frame began to flash red, meaning someone was initiating a comlink with her. She quickly picked up the line as she dodged a slash from the Gloucester Beta's sword. It seems that the enemy was thrown off by Becca's speed, assuming her Gareth was nothing but dead weight. She operated he gray energy wing system and soared up into the sky to gain some sort of distance. Upon hearing Reid's inquisitions, she herself began to wonder just what had happened. It seems that their plan had been completely thwarted by the BRL, just how were they so prepared for this, wasn't this supposed to be a sneak attack?
"I'm doing fine, I'm just fighting these two Gloucester DXs here.....it's weird, I've never seen them have lances before....I'm recording this data as we speak. I don't have a clue what's going on either, but the BRL were surely alerted of our presence and were even prepared for combat. Something's not right here....perhaps this was a trap after all?"
That was a valid explanation for the BRL's readiness if anything to be honest. Becca fired off a few missiles toward the two units, some collided with their frames, but they were still operational. Activating their energy wings, they soared up to Becca's level and one charged immediately at her. She couldn't help but smirk at this fact, probably out of eagerness to use her drills. Drawing it's sword once more, the Gloucester charged on and attempted to stab right through Becca's cockpit. However, Becca blocked this with one of her drills, and sent her remaining one through the enemy's cockpit.
"That wasn't very smart at all now was it?"
Removing her drill, she then flew back to avoid being caught in the Gloucester's explosion. Now only one remained, but in the distance, she could yet another Gloucester heading in their immediate direction. She sighed, fearing that another one would follow that one and she'd become severely outnumbered. It's not like she had her hadrons anymore, so there wasn't exactly a way to take all those units out without being damaged to a great extent in the process. As the double lanced enemy finally decided to shoot a few missiles in her direction, Becca fired off two slash harkens in it's direction, successfully grabbing a hold of it.
"Crap...." she mumbled upon seeing the missiles headed at lightspeed toward her unit.
They were quickly intercepted however from another source, a fellow soldier operating a Vincent Sky. She couldn't have been more happy to see help, even if it wasn't a whole calvary.
drogoth232 - May 6, 2012 11:25 PM (GMT)
"Kyle, watch him closely. If you take too much either take him out with you, or go back. Got it?"
Kyle let out a loud winded laugh
"Never had any other options."
As they approached the enemy Vincent, Seth saw that he tried to out-maneuver them. Coming to a complete halt, Seth urged his Gloucester to fly straight up. Assuming that Kyle had followed him or at the least avoided the enemy Vincent, Seth looked around for his target.
"There he is. Kyle are you... Kyle!"
Looking right below him, he saw that Kyle was being peppered by the Vincent. Knowing now was the best time to strike, Seth rammed his frame into his opponents and quickly backed away before growling at Kyle.
"Don't rely on me to save you again, because I might not be able to."
Konti - May 9, 2012 05:04 PM (GMT)
"Bingo." That was all Reid said as he discovered an angle of fire towards the BRL base. It would take time to charge the attack but he was confident the enemy would be to engaged with other units to fly back to where Reid had his Gareth camped out. This would be his first use of the experimental "Infinity Hadron" that had been developed. Well, his first use of the hadron cannons made to be combined, he had combined the normal cannons before and liked the destructive for they presented, hard to imagine the destruction they possessed when they were designed for it. Reid then sent out a mass communication to all of the units under his command. He said "This is your acting commander speaking. This has become a war of attrition today, but a war I'm sure we can win. I'm going to attempt to decimate the BRL base with the infinity hadron. It's going to take some time to charge. In the meantime keep fighting as you are now, fighting with your all. We can and will wipe out this scum!" With that said, Reid typed a few lines of code into his Gareth's console and was rewarded with the message "Infinity Shackles removed. Cannons charging: 5%"
Both arms of the Gareth began to glow a deep crimson and Reid continued to calculate for wind and other variables. As he did this he was reminded of when Sena taught him to shoot, an important day for his military career. Without Sena's guidance Reid never would have broken the academy record for target practice. Reid silently wondered what ever happened to Sena's prized sniper rifle. It was an heirloom of his family and one of the things he held as close to him as his family. Reid would have to ask the Black Knights for it one day. That was, if he survived this battle.
Seis - May 10, 2012 10:13 PM (GMT)
Keeping an eye on the second target as he sprayed fire into the first, Seis had just enough time to bring his blaze luminous into position as the other knightmare attempted to ram him. The force of the impact was still enough to mess up his aim, but his quick thinking had allowed him to save his own life via the advanced energy shield. He'd hoped that he would have been able to even the odds a bit before the other unit came into play, but if they were gonna force him into a two-to-one battle then he was just gonna have to play that game until a new opportunity presented itself. Maybe he could use his natural quirks to his advantage in that regard.
Activating his knightmare's loudspeaker so that the other two pilots could hear him since he lacked access to their communications frequencies, he flipped his blade around into a reverse grip while keeping them both covered with his rifle. "Two on one, really? I knew the Restoration League was disreputable, but I didn't realize that they were so dishonorable too. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that a terrorist organization has to resort to such low-brow tactics. My fault for giving you guys more credit then nameless scum like you deserve. If you can't even figure out the basic math of force distribution, how the hell can I expect you to know not to interfere in someone else's business. Hazard of having an IQ lower then your shoe size I guess..."
drogoth232 - May 12, 2012 12:14 AM (GMT)
OoC: Since Takeo left, I really have no idea what to put.... So... I'll end it with BRL Leaving.. .Hope its okay with you guys.
Just after saving Kyle, Seth was insulted by what he thought was an incompetent pilot. Feeling his anger rising, Seth yelled into his line with Kyle, not remembering that the loudspeaker was off:
"Really now? Well lets just see how you like it when I impale your tiny ass!"
He would have gone on if he could, but he heard Kyle interrupt him
"Seth, he's obviously trying to get you to solo him. Its his fault if he broke from his regiment and we engaged him. If two of them found one of us, they'd do exactly the same."
"Shut up! SHUT UP!"
With a calm and even voice, Kyle continued
"And I have word from base. It seems like Nikarov's left, along with the convoy. Its time."
Still brimming with anger, Seth yelled back
"We aren't going until I kill him!"
It was then that Jacob decided to interrupt
"Seth. Lets go. There's no point. And if you resist, we'll just have to shoot you down. Better to lose one than three, right?"
Realizing that he had no choice, Seth lowered his Knightmare's Lance.
"Fine then... Lets leave."
Before he turned around, Seth turned on his loudspeaker and spoke
"Count yourself lucky, looks like we have better things to do. Next time I see you, I guarantee you, you will regret it. Dearly.
With those words spoken, Seth flew off with Kyle. Not a second later, Jacob popped up from underneath them. With all three in tow, Seth headed off to where one of Takeo's officers had told him they would be.
Where did he go? Where did Takeo go?

"Cannons Charging:85%" "Come on! Just a little bit more!" Reid was frustrated that the cannons were taking so much to charge. There was word being spread that the BRL was pulling out, meaning the only hope of having even the smallest bit of success was for Reid to destroy the facility and hope that some of the BRL's units and machines were caught in the blast. "Cannons fully charged" As Reid prepared to take the shot he was still uncertain about what awaited him when he returned to the base. The BRL was too prepared for this attack! Reid put out the call to his units saying "All Britannian Units! Pull back from the radius of the target facility, it will be destroyed." Bringing the two cannons together Reid squeezed the trigger and a pure crimson beam shot from them, and in a few seconds there was only dust and rubble where a building once stood. Although, Reid didn't feel any sense of victory from the action.
Seis - May 14, 2012 09:16 PM (GMT)
After several tense seconds of dead air time as the three knightmares stared at each other, the unit which appeared to be the leader finally spoke up, answering Seis' taunt with one of the lamest comebacks he had ever heard before turning back toward his base to withdraw. It took all of his control not to burst out laughing at that point, the stress and realization of how much trouble he'd just been in weighing on him heavily. It did seem however that his jibe might very well have phased his opponent, though how that would affect his performance under fire was anyone's guess. Still, he couldn't help but make his unit wave a taunting parting as the three BRL machines fled back to the roost. Sure he may have been digging himself a deeper hole for later, but it was just too good an opportunity to pass up.
It was at that point that the sky was filled with a blinding flash of crimson light as Reid's hadron blast cut through the air. While Seis was safely outside of the blast zone, he was still close enough to experience some technical interference from the blast as he gazed down at the destruction which had just been unleashed. Mission accomplished yes, but at what cost?

The Gloucester Becca and another soldier were engaged in battle with suddenly ceased it's onslaught and retreated from the area. Becca raised an eyebrow, wondering as to why they had suddenly pulled back. However, it was made clear a moment later once Reid had issued his own order to pull back. She had already figured out just what he was about to do, fire his infinity hadron at the facility. Kicking her energy wing into full power, she and the soldier who had saved her a moment ago, hightailed it out of the firing range.
Soon the area was engulfed in a bright flash, followed by a rather loud boom. She had made it safely out of the blast radius, but she wondered if someone else wasn't as lucky as she was. So this was the true power of the infinity hadron? Becca felt relieved that she had such a destructive feature removed from her knightmare, for she probably wouldn't have the mental capability of using it in the first place.
It looks like this operation was an overall success, the facility had been reduced to mere rubble and their was no BRL presence left within the area. It was odd though, they were successful, but she quite feel like rejoicing for some reason.
"If the job is done, I'll return to base..."
The remaining forces continued to withdraw from the area. This battle was indeed a short one.
