New website, Web designer(s) wanted!

Now that I have my own web space and domain, there's really no need to use wordspace anymore. There's no need for the blog either, since pretty much all the discussion has moved here. So if there are any HTML/CSS wizards out there willing to help, someone could make a template for a new website.

I know the basics of HTML and CSS so I can put all the content in myself, I just need a good template. I don't have any precise requirements on how the site should look like, so I'm giving the designer free hands with the design (as long as it's not pink with flowers and butterflies).

Here are the .psd files of the main menu, launcher and the header of the current site, in case you want to use parts of them.

The designer could make it look like the website is in a old computer (SCP 079) kinda like Slender website

So if the Menu.PDS is going to be used for the website, than how about you make a border on the unused space on the right where a picture of 173 or 106 or what have you will be.

I think it should be very factual and rich with detail, like the wiki itself. We should make it seem like 'we are SCP'. Or something.

I may be able to offer some assistance, from my half brother who I bet knows HTML, I will know by.......7.00pm.

Not only that but he has spare time and is interested, as I said I will message him.

I'm not a web designer, at all, but I do like creating graphics.

I like it, but you should use other letters on "containment breach" and maybe make the logo a little bit more visible. Aside from that it looks nice.

Sadly my brother is not able to help, I hope you understand.

I think it would be best to leave the technical stuff for later and post up some design drafts of the new website. When the concept part is completed, then we can worry with the actual implementation.

Colors should be something subdued, not too bright or jarring. Probably lots of dark and cool colors should be implemented?

When thinking of colours related to SCP:CB, these come to my mind:

Light grey, dark concrete, in fact all greyscale - as in the facility's walls
Dark, unsaturated green - seen on computer terminals, windows and the buttons to open each doors
Greyish brown - 173, bottom of walls, ceilings and floors

This is a quick example (could have more greyscale):



Details could have more vivid colours - red, yellow, blue.

PS: A nice idea would be somewhat blending the website with the game, i.e. making the wall texture as the background and such.

I think the music from the main menu, or another creepy choice of music should be looped on the page. If anyone here knows Flash, we could add some pretty badass animations to the website.

The unsaturated green definitely makes me think of SCP, I used it on the logo in the header. I like the tans, beige's, chocolate brown's and greys, but I think of something darker, they do seem on the right side of the color wheel, though.

And I agree with the whole flash thing, but you know what'd totally be epic? Having the banner or something be coded to occasionally flash to something different and disturbing, like 895's article. That was beastly, I think it's practically what made the SCP. Like, having a surveillance camera in 173's chamber, and every once in a while, it'll blink out, and he'll suddenly appear in your face.
