General Translation, Collecting translated docs, voices, etc.

As far as I know Alexey didn't try to translate the documents yet. So I've you'd like to translate them, you can post them here. Please save them as .rtf or .txt files and loead them up! =)

Ok, but i think better send .jpg games files in arhive than text.
I found ~28 pic but didn't found menu's GUI (newgame...)
And i don't think it's great to touch SCP symbol, it symbol anyway

I think tomorrow I will upload translated SCP-173 and SCP-895. For now I'll upload a file with the translated Intercom, so it will use less space on the OP.

Looks good! Okay, you can also save them as .jpg files. But maybe the design of the documents will change when the game development goes on, so it would be good if you still had the pure text somewhere. I by the way forgot to update the Russian team member list - did that now.

I agree on that, except for one thing.

I think it would be better for the game itself to have "Secure. Contain. Protect" regardless the language to make everyone know about why it's called SCP and a translated one below. Making it like this:

(SCP Logo)
Secure. Contain. Protect.
Asegurar. Contener. Proteger.

I can understand what you are saying. Personally I could go either way, and you are right as I have seen many international companies use their native language in the logo as well as the other translated name below it. I think it should come down to personal preference.

Those Russian translations look to be going very well! And make sure to to it in JPG as Lassen said, in fact take all of Lassen's advice on board.

It is a symbol or tagline?
There is one SCP exist, so second string may be touched.

I wouldn't translate the company's name since I don't want to change acronym. If I did I had to change every document and every ingame texture that shows "SCP". As I already said somewhere here I'd like to translate the whole thing. But if it doesn't work, then I have to accept that, even if I don't like it.

There was the same problem with the translation of the Game Fallout: New Vegas if you know that game. The party "NCR" was translated with "RNK". So everyone in the German version talked about the RNK while all the flags and banners still showed "NCR". That's just stupid and also a bit confusing at first.

I could translate the tags with "Sicherheit. Camouflage. Protektion" which means "Safety. Camouflage. Protection." but I can only use nouns. There simply are no common and fitting verbs with a C at the beginning. And the translation would only work if the company actually is secret. But I guess it is.

I would really love to hear what Regalis thinks of all that. I don't think he said anything about the translating plan yet.

I think you can translate the words if you can manage that. But I wouldn't change the acronym. I'm pretty sure the words are part of the logo just like the arrow symbol. But I don't know if it is possible to also change the textures that are in the game. I'm really in two minds at the moment..........

I will not edit the abbreviation, because Three Simple Words!,it's a name and you musn't know the meaning. If somody cant read just look to vocabulary.

Yes I think this would be good. Translate everything you can and everything what sounds good. That's what I'd do.
