Title: Ideas for other single-SCP games?
Description: Think, Don't blink

Kabob340 - July 12, 2012 01:05 AM (GMT)
SO, Have you ever thought about how good another single SCP game (like SCP-087/SCP-087-B) would be? For example, I was thinking a game for SCP-084, but then, I had another idea. ~~

A game where you could continue to update a "list" of single-scp "stages" or "levels" or just games if you want to call them that.
So we could continue to have greaet SCP games in one game! ~~

So you guys should tell me what single-SCP games (even if the "ever updating list of SCP games" doesn't get accepted) you think would turn out to be fun, scary, and addictive.

;) ~~

SCP-024 : Good Idea
SCP-238 : Good Idea

I have an idea that would be really cool for a SCP having it's own game. SCP-024.

The mechanics for such a game would be completely different from either Containment Breach or SCP-087-B, but I think it would make a really fun game.

Start it out with a scene of you entering the warehouse with 4-5 other D-class and hear the announcer. Have only one possible theme since many themes would take individual information for each one(unless you did minor variations in the themes with different skins). Have a series of chambers that you have to clear in a time limit or before the rest of your colleagues or something, and have the order of the chambers randomized.

To clear a chamber you have to meet objectives or complete goals that are often odd and usually expose you to fatal danger. Perhaps have each chamber have to possible "completions" and have the announcer mid-way tell you to switch to the other objective/goal mid-way through completion of the first one. Only have this happen once or twice per gameplay though, so it is at least partially unexpected.

Parts of that would probably have to change and many more details would have to be figured out, but that could make a pretty cool game.

Note: Since this game would be completely different mechanics, it could be viewed completely differently from the other SCP games. Side scrolling, or perhaps 3rd person 3D(think Mario, or more accurately GTA). A first person version would be possible, but other options are available.

I think game of SCP - 238 will be great and scare)

Haha as a cool joke do Slender but with SCP-173 it would be funny, but a remake of the documents from the Flesh that Hates would be good :D

SCP-687 would be nice, as it is a game in itself.

I think there should be two parts to the game, the "playing stage" and the "dream stage", the "playing stage" you can move on to the dream stage at any time, but the "dream stage" you can not.

BroMcBadAss - July 12, 2012 08:41 PM (GMT)
I just want to say that that would be an Awesome game, let me know if you start a site for its production! ;)

I'm waiting for an Able game where you have to run from him to detonate the on-site nuke. The beginning could have an interview with Cain mentioning he does not like Able.

If SCP-294 is not included in Containment Breach (it really should be in though), it's own game would be fun.

I like the idea, but I think it should be in first person. This way it is more scary since you feel like you are in there, rather than just playing a game.

SCP-575

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-575

Nothing like having a murderous shadow following you around

The warmest of salutations to you all.

...

Getting straight to the point, after reading through this thread I decided to suggest several environmental SCP which I have happened across during my time spent pouring through the SCP Foundation archives.

Unfortunately, I feel as if I am forgetting a couple potentially excellent candidates, however that is neither here nor there...

...

The SCPs which I believe may have potential as stand-alone SCP games are as follows:

...

SCP-648

SCP-470

SCP-599

SCP-450

...

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Kind regards, Sitromxe.

I like those Sitromxe, they would work pretty well.

I myself am working on a 093 game

HorrorFreek - July 16, 2012 09:50 PM (GMT)
Haha I would play slender with scp-173 it would make a good mod(For slender)

A game based off scp-024 would be awesome.

Personally, a game based off scp-093 would hold some promise http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-093

Damaster00777 - July 29, 2012 08:08 PM (GMT)
A game about 093 does sound pretty cool. Personally, I'd like to see games about SCP-682, SCP-008, SCP-1048, and SCP-453. Although the former two would probably be something action-adventure (though a skilled writer might be able to make them survival horrors) and 453 more of a simulator (with infinite possibilities), I think that 1048 could be about a D-Class with a fear of teddy bears having to escape a facility that's been overrun by 1048 copies.
But I'm known for stupid ideas, so you don't have to listen to me...

graywolfe42 - July 30, 2012 03:30 AM (GMT)
Another idea that came to me. SCP-049, the Plague Doctor.

Imagine this. You find youself in an abandoned hospital. You walk around for a bit and see a room with a window on it. You hear mutterings and you see the plague doctor operating on someone. He doesn't notice you. If finishes up quickly, packs his bag, and leaves. The corpse gets up and walks around the room aimlessly for a bit. Then he spots you through the window and attacks the glass, screaming and howling but he can't get to you. You flee the room and then continue to explore the hospital.

Mechanics would be based on stealth. The corpses go into a rage when they see humans, attempting to kill the human. So you have to be quiet and you have to stay out of sight. No blink meters for this game. A stamina bar probably but a large one I would say. Running just means your louder.

There will be places to hide and get away. The longer you play the more often corpses appear. There's even a chance of running into the plague doctor himself. If he catches you you die, game over. I'm not sure if they point of the game would be escape or to defeat/incapacitate him somehow. It could go either way. Or it could just be a survival game.

Hmm. I've been wanting to try my hand at making a horror game myself. Perhaps I'll try it out. Would love to hear your guys's feedback though.

If anyone here is good with level design in ANY engine (Prefer: Unity, Source, UDK) please PM me, I have a project for you.

plague doctor will be in wander. =D

dzxvazzportallover - July 30, 2012 12:20 PM (GMT)
what if the co-developers were valve and the announcers voice would be like the one from portal 2 and the plot would be glados having a meeting with scp-024 and the said scp will willingly let himself be a living test chamber. you and your friends or robots like atlas and p-body would show up if you're playing with bots.

dzxvazzportallover - July 30, 2012 12:27 PM (GMT)
what about something like a dating sim for SCP-126 LOL
