My Thiranta (Jay) was fine the other day. He was eating and drinking and hopping around. But last night he was sitting in the corner when I went to feed him. So I picked him up just knowing there was something up.

His belly is all blown up! It's pretty hard and sticks out bigger on one side. I feel so terrible that I didn't notice it before :'( I don't know how long it has been like this.

I read something about GI stasis or something like that...? I can't get him to drink anything though and I took out his food. I will put some hay in there when I get home from school. But yeah, he wouldn't look twice at the water. His eyes were half closed and he looked half gone already.

I took him out for like 15 minutes last night after I found him like that and was patting his belly to try and break up gass bubbles.

I don't know what else to do! My parents won't let me take him to the vet...we have no money to pay for whatever they might have to do.

Do you think he is going to die? sad.gif sad.gif

I wonder if it is a wool block of sorts? I would try giving him pineapple juice in a syringe. It would give him some sugar if nothing else.

Sorry he died. How about thinking it was a learning lesson for your next rabbit?
Try to get a product called Nutri-cal in case again. It's sold for cats and dogs but works for rabbits. It's sold at top pet stores. Sometime a rabbit equiptment dealer.
It may have been somerthing else. Dri tail works sometimes. Each case is different. And facts would be need from the rabbit. Then you treat. Many things can hit rabbits.

Thanks J...I didnt know this would work for rabbits. I keep 5 or so tubes around with the dogs and had no idea I could use it with the rabbits.

Thanks! I will keep one in the barn from now on!
