Title: Need a Rabbitry Name
Description: Will you help?

poisonpuff - May 11, 2011 01:09 AM (GMT)
I've been forming as a rabbitry lately, my first litter is 6 weeks. Sadly 1 of the two non peanuts died from enteritis :( Anyway, I was thinking Brandon's Bunnies but that's not very creative.. Anyone have some suggestions? My name is brandon, I breed holland lops (so far ), I live on a mountain/hill And theres tons of deer and stuff around here, just to help spark some ideas. Appreciate everyones help! :)

Lile'sLops - May 11, 2011 01:15 AM (GMT)
I actually like the name Brandon's Bunnies! It's simple and easy to remember.
Maybe mountaintop rabbitry? That's not too creative either lol
What's your last name?

Mountain Laurel Lops - May 11, 2011 01:21 AM (GMT)
Brandon's Bunnies is nice and simple :)

Hmm.. I'm not so great when it comes to rabbitry names! What things do you like to do? What things do you like? There's all sorts of stuff out there you can make form ideas from :) For example, my rabbitry name.. I called mine Huckleberry Hollands because it's a combo of my love for horses AND my Hollands. Huckleberry Bey V was a really well known arabian horse that won many national championships. He was and still is my all time favorite horse! I chose to be breed specific because I *know* that I am sticking with Hollands because my parents taught me to be focused, so that's how I'm gonna stay, and I'm quite content with Hollands

Just tips. :goodluck:

does the mountain/hill have a name?? Say it was Bear Mt. could be Bear Mountain top rabbitry.

if you are going to register the name with ARBA you will need to pick out 3 names anyway. I couldn't believe i got mine. thought for sure it was taken, but we got our 1st pick!

wooly_queen - May 11, 2011 11:38 AM (GMT)
You know... when me and my friend Parker were picking our co owned rabbitry name... I made a HUGE list. XD I wish I would have kept it around because I had some good ones on there! I could have helped a ton of people with those names.

:bonk:

Some people use landmarks (rivers, mountains, places their area is known for) and others use their name or a special pets name... or something else that you really enjoy.

I chose Northern Breeze because I live in Michigan and Breezy is my nickname. :) So it made my rabbitry name more personal. lol My prefix is also Breezy's. hehe :P Then me and Parker picked Secret Trails out of a very loooong list I made. He lives out in the woods and we love camping and exploring. Secret Trails kinda sounds like it promisies something good at the end. lol

So to me, personally, Brandon's Bunnies is kinda boring! I like names with cool stories and feelings behind them. What kind of things do you like? I am willing to try and remember that huge list I came up with! lol

Famous last words

If you like Brandon's Bunnies, go for it! It can be tiring to explain why you chose a certain name all the time

Haha Keep! I am sticking with hollands because I love them :)

poisonpuff - May 11, 2011 08:04 PM (GMT)
Nope the mountain doesnt have a name, it's basically the town lol. I like to explore places and I love animals. I like going to streams and catching froggies and stuff like that. I love going on the computer. I'm a pretty creative person and I like drawing and art. I like to take pictures of random stuff too. If I find shadeds to start with (my buck/doe that i bred have a mysterious broken sable point baby that came out of no where. nothing but blacks and torts in the pedigree) That could be incorperated in to the rabbitry name. Not really shore.. gotta keep brainstorming.

Brandon's Adveturous Rabbitry

Summit Rabbitry is nice. :) I also like Shady Creek or Shadow Moutain... Sky High Rabbitry... Skyline Rabbitry...Shadowland Rabbity

more ideas would be your street name or town... which could change when you move or something, but sometimes they make good names! lol Last names too.

Exploring could be like Discovery Rabbitry... Journey Far Rabbitry. lol

Hillside Rabbitry, Mystic Mountain! haha!

I have lots of nature ones in my head... with trees and stuff. XD Lake Shore Rabbitry, Birch Run Rabbitry, White Tail, Wilderness Rabbitry, Riverside Rabbitry, Silent Stream Rabbitry...

that's all I can think of right now, but i'm sure there's more in this head of mine. XD

Run Wild - May 11, 2011 10:42 PM (GMT)

The Nature Trail Rabbitry is already taken. Well, I think it's still running. But I know, at least, that there was a big name, very good rabbitry named The Nature Trail Rabbitry.

Mountain Laurel Lops - May 12, 2011 02:10 AM (GMT)
I don't think The Nature Trail is breeding anymore. I'm not sure about that, it's just what I've heard. But she had the prefix "The Nature Trail's *name*" But Nature's Trail is kinda close lol ;)

Sky High reminds me of that movie called "Sky High" with all the super power people

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have a rabbitry name that was that close to another big time rabbitry name.
I have no idea if they're breeding or not anymore. I'll have to find out sometime.

I wouldn't mess with that one. lol Nature Trail was amazing. <3 I don't think they are like "in service" anymore, but Ellyn (Bumper) is running the site now I do believe.
