where are the job claims?
you can find each job claim under our roleplaying boards. example: if your character works as a teacher or student, you'd find the claim under our education board.
does rts have a character limit?
not really. you're allowed to make as many characters as you'd like, but after your second character we require you to have a real thread and a shipper up for any currently existing characters before you make any others. also, we expect you to use your characters, so if we feel that they're just sitting their and hogging a face claim, we'll probably ask you to drop them.
would lornah have had _____? was she ______? etc.
lornah hefferson is whoever you want her to be. we may release small bits of information on her as the site progresses, but we kept things vague because we wanted each character to have a different perspective of her. some characters might have thought she was a warm and loving person, while others might have found her coldhearted. it's totally up to you. the only basics you need to know is that she founded the neighborhood and influenced a lot of people in the neighborhood.
is there a word count?
nope. the length of your threads is totally up to you.
what is the roleplaying directory?
the roleplaying is basically our alternative to a who's who. it gives other members information on the roleplayers behind each character, and it can be used as a plot/character tracker. it's also a fun little way to communicate out of character every now and then, sort of like a facebook wall.
do you guys have an app?
sort of. our prompts basically work as an app, but with a bit of a twist.
how long does my prompt response need to be?
prompt responses can be as long as you feel necessary. we expect a bit more from new characters than renewed characters, but we really just want a basic voice from your character. details about your character's past and current relationships can be explained in your shipper, they aren't required for the prompts.
what is the difference between the renewing prompt and new character prompt?
their names are sort of self explanatory, but the new character prompts are strictly for newly made characters. our renewing prompts are only important for the first week of each month when we start cleaning out characters, and they're strictly for characters that already exist. both prompts work as a way for the admins to get a basic feel on how your character feels regarding what ever event is going on at the time.
when do the new prompts get posted?
at the beginning of each month. you'll have a week to renew your characters after the renewing prompt is posted, and if you choose not to post one, then your character will be deleted. consider this our alternative to an activity check.
are you guys going to change your skin each month?
we're definitely going to try! the main reason we plan on changing the skin at the beginning of each month is so all of our new prompt templates match up.
what's your guys' rule with activity?
we expect our members to log on with each of their accounts at least once every five days. if you don't, your face claim is up for grabs. the only exception to this rule is for members who have an absence up.
