why hello there! welcome to
revenge is sweeter! first of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read these, since a lot of people don't and it just makes things run a lot more smoothly if you do. plus they aren't that ridiculously long, so we don't think you'll have too much trouble going through them.
in case you didn't already know, we are a real life troubled teens boarding school role-play set in california. there will be tons of plots involving both students/professors at st. jude's and civilians of california! so don't feel like by making an older character that you are ostracizing yourself from everyone. everyone is super friendly and are more than happy to plot with anyone! also, we are very dedicated to our plots! we don't want everyone just running around haphazardly, we like giving our members opportunities to get involved and to spice things up a bit! so keep checking the events to see what is happening around the site!
once you're finally ready to register, please do so with a first and last name in lowercase letters, for example -- jenna marbles. if you do happen to miss this rule and you register wrong, just pm an admin and they will be more than happy to fix it for you! we just like things to be uniform.
characters should be varied! we don't want to see fifty seniors and hardly any under class men or civilians. be creative! we love seeing new types of characters being made. don't be afraid to go out of the box. you don't have to make a typical popular female who loves one night stands in order to get plots, guys. in fact, we discourage it! make a lawyer, teacher, garbage man, or a parent! we promise you will get so many plots thrown at you for being so creative! also, check out our canon list! we made them for you guys to keep diversity. of course we also accept originals all day, errday, but the canons are there just in case.
don't join unless you can handle mature/adult themes. we roleplay anything, guys, and we don't want to offend anyone. there will be drugs, sex, and alcohol as well as swearing and any sort of violence. we go all out, so we expect our members to be comfortable reading these things. when there is a mature theme in a thread, we still ask that our members tag it with a m so others can at least avoid reading things they do not feel comfortable reading. also, since we don't have a word count limit, we expect you all to write solid posts. we don't need a thousand words, but we do need to have good, quality threads going. no one-liners or any of that. you can still write a post under five hundred words without sounding like a first grader, you know? just be descriptive - make it interesting!
proper spelling and grammar is expected. as a roleplayer, you should already know how to write a good post! if you need some help, just read a few current threads or ask around!
face claims can be reserved! reservations last for 48 hours and there’s a clock to show exactly when their playby reserve has expired, so no matter what time zone you're in, the time is still fair to everyone. once the time has run out, that playby will be available for you to reserve even if an admin/mod hasn't removed it from the reserve list. there are no competitions for play bys!
also, once your character has been accepted please ensure that you claim your face in the appropriate thread using the appropriate code. if you do not do this you are liable to lose your playby if another member reserves it and then is accepted and completes their claim.
please try to stay active. we have a rule that if you haven't signed in to your account after five days your play by claim is up for grabs and your account will be deleted! you can stop this from happening if you post an absence thread in the respective forum. just let us know which accounts the absence will affect and for how long you'll be gone and you will be fine.
be courteous! ris is all about respect, so just be nice to one another. keep the violence and drama within the threads and do not start fights and be disrespectful to one another out of character. if someone has an issue with someone else, please take the conversation somewhere private. this is not facebook, we do not want to read all of your drama! on top of that, there will be no godmodding! control your character and your character only. this includes plot pages! do not go into someone's plot page and tell them what their character will feel towards your character(s). this is a pet peeve of the staff members and we don't like to see it.
please take note of the ratios between males and females and member groups. as for ratios, you are allowed to to make any mix of male and female characters that you want. if you do have a top heavy pendulum of female characters consider making at least on boy. we'll watch closely and as of now there is no rule limiting you to any character standards.
graphics are always wanted, since we love seeing everyone's super pretty artwork! but we do have size limits. signatures are up to you, but we ask you not to go too overboard. if you stretch the page, expect to see a pm show up in your mailbox. the avatar size is 200x300 pixels, but gifs are allowed as well!

- no advertising anywhere outside of the advertisement section. this includes the cbox.
- please just be nice, guys. it's a lot easier to offend someone without realizing it. if you do feel like someone is bullying you, please, please contact a staff member. they will be more than happy to confront the person causing issues. we just want everyone to be nice and get along here. call us sappy barney boppers, but respect is a huge deal.
