Before you ask a question, please take a moment to see if its already answered in our FAQ. If its not, then please feel free to post or pm.

This post is just to help with questions that have been asked on site / chatbox / pm that concern site policies, ect, so will be added to as needed.
What does this mean?
Ability = In the bio / profile this is used to mean powers, those that someone is born with, aka their natural ability or turned ability in the case of Vampires / shape shifters.
Avatar / Play By = The celebrity, model, whoever, you use to be the face / body of your character.
~~
Canon = A character was created by Veritas for key roles on the site that are open for adoption and full bio-ing by members. -- Veritas gives basic ideas only for what's needed with each, i.e spoiled princess, the player gets to elaborate.
~~
DNA = What DNA does your character have? I.E if they're a Chimera, you need to list species for them. A hybrid, list what mix they are i.e mother human, father elemental. Human, just list human.
~~
Magic = What the unenlightened call someone using real powers. Wiccans (etc.) never term what they do magic, unless they are performing a card trick or other non power related 'human' magic.
~~
NRN (No reply needed) = A thread that needs no reply, but the poster wants to post for reasons of game play... eg sitting and musing on things.
~~
OC / original character = Anyone made up by a member who is bio-d.
~~
Open thread = Threads that anyone can reply to. If a thread has a name mentioned, then its reserved for that character / member.
~~
Training = What has your character been taught by others or self taught? I.e plant lore, mechanics, French, law...
Getting started
Its useful to copy the bio template onto word or such.
Then fill it in at your leisure, using the information contained in Character creation information.
It can be helpful to look at other players bios.
After you feel happy with the bio, post it in applications.
When it is approved you can play in as many areas as you like, as long as a character is not in two places at the same time! (see question below.)
Please read the rest of the FAQ for other useful information, posted after questions from members.
~~
If you need more help, Veritas is always willing to aid, or if neither I am not on and you wish a fast answer and other members are present, please post in the chatbox, our members are a helpful and friendly bunch, so will be happy to offer aid.
We look forward to playing with you.

Changing form?
For all those types that can alter their form, unless the clothing is very loose and would not hinder they have to be naked to comfortably shift into animal or hybrid animal / human form.
Please keep this in mind, so have clothes hidden nearby. Thank you.
What is the rating of the site?
This site is rated PG-13.
For anything that is of a more adult nature, please use the rated area, just pm an admin for the password and URL of that area, or if you already have such, inform them or a Mod if a thread becomes X-rated, so needs moving to that area.

Swear words?
This site is PG-13.
Occasional swearing is allowed in a thread, try keep the F etc words to a minimum though.

Want to be more explicit, post in the rated area, but even then keep it to being realistic for the charrie, swearing every other word or such, is going overboard, a string of swearing if badly hurt is ok in that one post, keeping it up afterwards is overkill, and looses its effectiveness.
Are multiple accounts allowed?
Yes, we actually require them if playing different types.
If you only play humans then you may have one account, but if you want to add in a vampire we would require you to open their own account.
Should you wish to have each character on their own account, that is fine.

Are characters allowed to be in many threads at one time?
Yes, with one obvious exception, please read below.
You can play in as many threads as you wish with one charrie, on here its personal preference, long as you know where that thread comes in ya charrie's timeline, (in case need to let another player know for plot), its all good.
Only thing that would get an admin cranky *picture me with a mallet

* is being in two places at the same time, play wise.
I.e 11:59 New Years Eve, in Crash, and in TC = a no no, since no charrie on this site can do a split, a la Multiple man.
Otherwise not an issue, so your character can be in as many places as you wish.

How do I get a sub forum/s for my character/s home / business?
Simply post in the Home / Business requests thread, with the required information stated on the 'housing/ business template', and an admin will add a sub forum for you, and give you mod powers for it IF it is a mansion or a business.
Non mansion homes the post will be added to the correct homes sub-forum pinned list giving home information. -- We have found otherwise we have too many forums not being used very much.
Limit to number of characters?
Please refer to the 'handbook' for detailed information.
What types can I play?
Short answer = Humans, Hybrids, Lupans, Carpathians, Selkies, Nymphs, Elementals, Trolls, Vampires, Werewolves, Wiccan and Chimeras. -- Please see the species information in Character creation information.
Dead threads
'In character' threads are considered 'dead' after 1 month of not being replied to. Unless an 'absent' notice is posted (or an admin informed of being absent), or admins know that certain characters are not 'playing' for people, then they'll be left for 2 months.
After 2 months, dependent on the reason for not being on in the absent note, then a thread will either be:
a.) Archived.
b.) Or in event of only computer busted, or such, it will be pinned, a 'warning' smilie will be added to the first post, and a note added in 'topic description' stating its ' {name of RP-er} thread, don't archive'. And given 6 months grace, then they will be archieved.
Dead threads are then archived. If wanted for play again, they can be retrived from archives by an admin.
I joined the site, why have I been deleted?
There are a few answers, dependent on circumstances.
1.) If you have joined as an already taken canon, then your account will be deleted, please check the taken canons list before setting up an account.
2.) After a few weeks we will delete any member who has joined but has never posted a bio.
3.) Members who suddenly stop playing, with no absent note, are given a couple of weeks, if they've not been on in that time a member of staff will try contacting them. If they have still not been on within 2 months of last being on, then their bios etc will be archived and they loose all face etc claims. If after 6 months the person is still a no show then their account will be deleted (if they have less than 60 posts, if more then they will be moved to the 'retired' group.). This will only NOT happen if they are on an admin agreed sabbatical.
4.) A member states they are leaving, this will result in their account being deleted or retired (depended on members wishes).
5.) And of course on the very rare occasion that a member is permanently banned, then their account will be deleted.
Why are some bios pinned in the bio forums?
It was decided to pin the bios for those working for the behind the scenes bad guy/gal. So that those of a similar ilk are easier to locate.
Is this site a continuation of ________
This site is
not a continuation of anything, the site's concept is from Veritas' imagination and members plots are their own.
