Dragons x Plot x Census x News x Rules
Praesto is a non-canon weyr set in the early Tenth Pass.
It is currently kept a secret from the rest of Pern in hopes to remain pure and free of Secus Fever. To learn more about the history, click the link above or read the weyr's advert. If you would like to be one of the original transfers, PM me! This weyr is still a work in progress.
We are currently only accepting brown, blue, and green transfers. All candidates, wherhandlers, and weyrfolk are accepted. If you would like to apply for a leadership position, PM Jana. Check the news for more information on current affairs.

Weyrbowl
The large, spacious area surrounded by the towering walls of the ancient volcano. It is constantly kept warm, even in the winter months, by the dormant volcano that lays beneath. To the western side lays the hatching grounds. Various entrances to the lower caverns line the walls.

Hatching Sands
A massive cavern filled with pure white, scorching sands. Ledges have been installed to allow dragons to watch from above. Stands line the spacious, open ground for spectators to watch. Egg-heavy mothers lay their eggs here.

Dining Hall
This is a spacious hall, large enough to accommodate all the weyr's populace. Gathers and feasts are held here. The kitchens are located in a seperate section on the north side.

Varos Lake
Constantly warmed by underground volcanic activity, this lake is a suitable place to take a bath, no matter what the season may be. It's sandy shores gradually drop off into deeper, crystalline waters.

Lower Caverns
Various holdfolk reside here. There are many rooms and winding corridors, some naturally carved by springs, while others are manmade. The rock is easily sculped by human hands, yet surprisingly sturdy and resistant to weathering.
