Rules

1 Before you register, think of a name you want to be called. If you register as "holliebi", you won't be able to change the Display name. So, when registering put a name like "Anna Bean", for example. You're also free to had anything else (from symbols, middle names, etc). Just be sure it doesn't make your Display name too big.

2 We're now accepting all ages. However, once we do not have a basic school, if you choose to be a student on PU, you must have, at least, 17 years old. This is an university for wizards and witches after they finish their basic studies in Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang and other schools. So, the students must have 17-infinite years old (you may be a student with 60 years old, if that's your wish, but never younger than 17).

3 Stay active! That means if you're going to be gone for more than a couple of days, post in the friendly send-offs sub-board. Try to get on every week, so the people you're posting with don't get frustrated or stuck. But remember, we all understand that the real life trumps imaginationland.

4 There are no Gods and Goddesses on this forum. Even though you're wizards and witches, you don't have God's powers. You're normal humans, who just have the ability to do magic. So, be realistic when you describe your character and later, in your role-plays.

5 You must not use another character's name or any part of his/her history when role-playing with another person. That means no control of someone else's character. For example, when you say to another character that Anna made something, but she didn't, you're autoing.

6 I know English is not everyone's mother language (mine's Portuguese), but it is the original language used on this forum. So, when role-playing (RP), you must re-read it. This helps you get your RP's better when it is about orthography.

7 Your RP's must be at least two paragraphs long. You can use quotes and lyrics, but they won't be counted as words/paragraphs for your RP's.
Beyond that, when using lyrics, quotes, poems, and other, you must credit, unless you created them yourself.

8 Respect is very important. Please try to keep profanities within reason. Beyond that, and that's an actual invisionfree rule, your posts mustn't contain content promoting the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, nudity, or any other form of adult content, profanity, hate, "spam," fraud, racism, mlm, pyramid schemes, or promote any illegal activity.

9 Spamming the forums is strictly forbidden. Spamming consists of: posting absolute nonsense in many different threads just to see your name all over the page, PMing several users, asking them to RP or visit your website/profile and so on, and/or creating abundant amounts of identical threads.

10 Signatures must not be bigger than 500x200 or they will be deleted. The avatars, must be 100x100, if you have one.

11 You can't RP before your application is accepted. That's very important to have in mind. Just realize that we may not accept your application, and your RP's won't be valid.

12 When RPing, always have in mind the backstory. But you can invent as many sub-plots as you want, since they're related to the backstory. If it wasn't for the sub-plots, the RP's wouldn't be interesting. We're always open to new ideas and suggestions.

13 Finally, have in mind that, no matter how old you are (if you're a student) you'll be a first year. You'll only be promoted to top years if you have good grades. However, you don't need to take the classes if you don't want to. But, on that case, you'll always be a first year.
