Apollo Patil-Noir was a lucky individual -- he could get anything he wanted with the snap of his elegant fingers. It wasn't simply because the boy was spoiled or particularly forceful, but it was due mostly to his almost unnatural ability to charm a person. One glance from his shadowy, sultry eyes and there was little one could do to avoid being ensnared by his gaze. In some instances, it was slightly hindering to have said ability: he would have to be cautious, making sure he didn't 'over-use' his talents, nor did he want to come off as a scum-bag who used people like tissues. But in other instances, such as the one he found himself in most currently, it came in incredibly handy.
The only child of Padma Patil had very little on his mind, least of all worry, as he made his way through the underground floor that evening. He had been given an assignment, an important assignment, a crucial assignment and he knew there was no choice but to execute it without fail. There were rumors of an anti-MacNair group forming within the walls of the castle the Minister of Magic practically tied her puppet strings to, and it was up to the beautiful, observant French lad to infiltrate their meetings. There were a few suspect organizations here and there, such as a Muggle Appreciation Club and an old Half-Breed activist club, but the after a few visits to those club meetings in the past couple of weeks showed that, aside from being pathetic and a joke, there was nothing more to it. But there was on more, another club that seemed so utterly and furiously pointless that there was no other explanation: it just had to be the club that they were looking for.
Honestly, how many students were there that actually and genuinely enjoyed cooking during their university years? Apollo had enough sense to know that the uprising of Lucy MacNair didn't sit well with a good number of students, so the chances of there being a club with a hefty number of unsettled students was great. The Cookery Club seemed as if it were the only rational target. Another suspicious fact was that there had been no on-campus advertising, no promotion for the group at all, and yet, there were a large number of participants, all of a certain, well, demeanor. Again, Apollo told himself: there was no other explanation.
As he rounded another corner in search of some students to follow into the meeting room, he contemplating exactly how he would go about passing off as "one of them." Granted, Apollo was not like a Stella Adara or a Brianna Nightshade who was clearly one belief or another. At least, that was the appearance he gave off to other people. Yes, to people of his common belief, he was a strong MacNair supporter, but to anyone outside that small circle of trusted confidants, he was, as they viewed, neutral. It would be easy to convince someone like Brianna Nightshade that he was for the side of good. It was always easy to convince someone who so desperately wanted to see the best in people.
As he grew closer to the door of a laboratory like room, he heard faint muffling and chatter. Certain that this was his destination, Apollo Patil-Noir straightened out his plain black tshirt, gave his head one quick swoop to rid his eyes of any hair that fell into those sultry eyes, and licked his lips.
'Let the infiltration begin.'

Esther could hear footsteps. And she didn't like them.
Turning to where Merry and Andi were teaching and talking around a seperate cauldron, she motioned them over, her pale face dead-serious. When they came over to her, she told them what she heard. That the footsteps and scent were equivalent to a supporter of McNair.
Soon, the entire room was in slight, controlled chaos as they hid everything and brought out a dish that Asha Khan had made earlier, for the show purposes. By the time they were finished, the entire room looked completely spotless and neat, and not at all suspicious. Esther was still breathing in heavily, trying to figure out the scent. Already it denoted someone with impeccable charm, who also happened to be not quite so nice.
"Everyone, " She addressed in a low voice, "I'm still not entirely sure by the scent who it is, but I can tell that it is someone who is incredibly charming and most definitely rooting for Lucy. Now, do not let yourself fall for anything until we can confirm who it is and their status." In a slightly louder voice, leaning up, Essie commanded them all:
"Is everyone ready?"

"We're ready!" Alexander replied, with a glint in his eye. There was Asha's food, and it only took a moment to swap the cauldrons over on the heat to have some curry on the boil. They'd been working so hard at ensuring they could do this.
Despite themselves, there was an overbearing need to glance towards the door of the room frequently, as if expecting the Minister and an army to burst in at any moment, but nothing seemed to happen, and a strange hush had broken out across them all suddenly, nobody quite daring to speak, or knowing exactly what to say without it sounding false.

The silence was quickly starting to drive her insane. Brynn never did well with quiet, something needed to be making noise or else she started getting nervous and irritated. They were waiting for someone to come in, someone they weren't sure they could trust. It irritated her even more than usual, silence and stiff nerves.
She looked inside the cauldron that had been cleaned out with a quick spell and the she did another spell, getting a large lump of black char and what might have been bread. "Someone take pity and feed me, I burned mine," She said in an overly dramatic way, throwing herself bonelessly over a table and staring at Alex with wide hopeful eyes. Trying to scam her best friends twin out of food was a normal pass time for Brynn, and no one would be surprised that she was in the cooking class with her appetite.

Sam looked up to the professors when professor Esther told them someone supporting the dark side was approaching. Frowning he and all his colleagues started cleaning everything, hiding, trying to behave naturally. Fortunately, Asha brought a meal and a recipe and everything would look more natural and realistic. A few seconds later Brynn was complaining about burning something that looked like bread. The smell of burned food dispersed through the room and now it seemed like they were actually cooking and failed at the same time.
Even though they were trying hard to look natural about the cooking class, he could sense a lot of tension and nerves. Everyone was awaiting for the person, whomever it was, to come in. It could be anyone, from the minister, the headmaster, to a student who supported the dark side. The wait was surely irritating and he couldn't handle it anymore. Finally, the door creaked and opened slightly. Everyone looked toward it and waited.
