Miss Harpur conducts herself flawlessly in public, with a striking smile and elegant grace and tone, but her conduct to those she considers she has no time for, is irritable, rude and despising. Harpur neglects respect for the common man, and is intricately detailed over who deserves her time and attention, including Professors.
Belladonna Harpur, graduate of Durmstrangs, is only interested in personal gain. She makes snap decisions on how useful the person she meets is, and once she is done with you, casts you aside. She is extremely well educated, and a multi-linguist, with a charming talent for the violin, yet contains one of the foulest, most critical tongues around.
When asked what she could add to the University community before arriving, she retorted that the University community would only benefit from her guidance in what was important, great focus, and she would shortly outgrow it in the momentary stepping stone in her life that it would become.

HISTORY•
Harpur, the name embedded in musicianship, is an old English name, coming from Belladonna's wizard father, who is English. He fell in love with a beautiful Polish witch, Belladonna's mother, while trading in magical transportation. Responsible for many campaigns and underhanded attempts to have the use of magic carpets permitted in Britain, he was a pioneer of them as multiple transportation for magical families in Eastern Europe at least.
Belladonna was the second born in the family behind her brother Nathaniel, who, inheriting their father's sharp eye and business mind is expanding the family business in Saudi Arabia. Belladonna took after her mother though, who for her beauty had a glorious singing voice, though not permitted to sing in public by her husband. The females of the family passing down a musical magic, the natural talent, and also the aptitude to use their talent to bewitch great numbers of people.
One Christmas, Belladonna bewitched a gathering into slumber through the playing of her violin, just to experiment with her skills, while enterprising classmates with their ears deafened temporarily, thieved from the sleeping revellers.
With an incredible interest in fine and intricate magic, though not exactly publicised, Belladonna decided to follow the route of cursebreaking while at University in Ireland. Not necessarily to become one in the end, but for the skills she would gain. Her family, relations of the Storm family through marriage, are firm supporters of the dark movement, and Belladonna refuses to be a bystander, and cites Lucy McNair as a role model.

Belladonna withdrew her bow from the strings of her violin, the air about her still ringing out in a bell sound. The Brahms had done its work - the composer often recognised by mere Muggles for his lullaby, which arcanely harnessed the magical melodic charms for sleeping.
Before her, the audience slumbered, their breathing steady and shallow, even in the bright sunlight at the wedding. The groom and bride leant against each other. All still alive, though the deep temptation to continue, to lull them further until their breathing slowed and began to halt, and their bodies because heavy as stone.
It had been done, but yet she had not brought herself to kill great numbers. The sleeping could so easily be discovered by a latecomer, death would almost certainly be - at least a merciful death. Their last moments filled with the music of almost phoenix quality.
Belladonna lowered her bow arm.
