Douglas Edward Meer, at age 25, went missing on March 29, 1982. He didn't return home from his last known location in Las Vegas. His car was found in Baja California, Mexico, on Sept. 9, 1982.

Circumstances Douglas Meer was a resident of Boulder, Colorado, and a student at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Douglass left the Boulder area on March 26, 1982 and arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 27, 1982. Douglas was last heard from on March 29, 1982 when he phoned his mother to let her know that he was out of funds and was returning to his residence in Boulder. Douglas never arrived home and his vehicle was later found in Mexico (possibly Ensinada) just over the border of California.

* Medical: Doug was taking Lithium after a motorcycle accident that left him with a chemical imbalance.
* Scars/Marks: Severe acne on back and face; Abdominal scar: 10" in length,1/2" in width

Circumstances of Disappearance
Meer was last seen in Boulder, Colorado on June 1983. Doug left the Boulder area to vacation in Las Vegas.

He was a Colorado University Student and an employee of King Supper. He was going on vacation after receiving money from a deceased relative. Before leaving he paid several months on rent and truck (late model Datsun) payments in advance.

He called family just after Easter in 1983 to ask his mother to wire him money to the Baja, CA area where the family knows he received it through Western Union. His vehicle was found in Mexico (possibly Ensinada) just over the border of CA in June of 1983 with all possessions inside including a full bottle of his Lithium.

His dog Pepper was also missing but the dog food for the dog was also found in truck.
He was declared dead 7 years later and has never been found.
