Cold Case: Missing Person Penny McClees (February 18, 1985)

On February 18, 1985 at 8:59 a.m., Aurora Police officers responded to the home of John and Penny McClees in the 2500 block of South Pagosa Court, on a report that Penny McClees was missing. After an exhaustive investigation, the whereabouts of Penny has yet to be determined. Over the years, police have developed leads into the disappearance of Penny, but have yet to determine her possible whereabouts. It is suspected that Penny may have met with foul play.

If you or someone you know can provide information on this unresolved missing person case investigation, you are encouraged to contact Detective Conner at (303) 739 – 6190, email swconner@auroragov.org or Detective R.J. Wilson at (303) 739 – 6106, email at rwilson@auroragov.org. You may remain anonymous if you desire.

Remember that if you identify a suspect in a crime, do not attempt to apprehend or detain that person. Call the police department (911 in an emergency or 303-627-3100 in a non-emergency situation) or the detective listed in the case. Some suspects may be armed and dangerous, and, in some cases, it may be critical for our detectives to watch the suspect for some time before alerting them that we have identified them as involved in the crime.
