LIVNO -- At least 60 human skeletons have been exhumed from a mass grave site in the Livno canton in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Milan Bogdanović, a member of a team of directors from the Bosnia-Herzegovina Missing Persons Institute, said that the skeletal remains had been exhumed from a 50 meter-deep ditch by members of the Spiljara Spelunker Association from Split.
He confirmed that the remains of at least 61 people had been found, dating back to both World War II and the last war in region.
Bogdanović said that an 80 meter-deep ditch had also been explored near Mandino Selo, where one corpse had been found, and which, it was presumed, contained many more skeletal remains.
