Police hoping for leads to help find missing man
Published Friday October 28th, 2011 Fred Byram has been missing since last October Codiac Regional RCMP has released a surveillance video in the hope it will aid them in a year-old missing person investigation. Fred Byram Fred Byram, 44, of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, was last seen in the early morning hours of Oct. 8, 2010, as he got into a taxi outside the Rocking Rodeo on Elmwood Drive in Moncton. He has not been in contact with any of his family or friends since, which is out of character for him. Surveillance video shows him leaving the bar alone, just after 12:30 a.m. He appears on-camera for a few seconds before stepping into the cab and driving off. There are many other people in the video, entering and exiting the bar as Byram leaves, and police hope someone may have seen or heard something that will help with the investigation. "It's now been a year since Fred Byram disappeared and we're hoping that getting this video out to the public may help someone to recall information they have about his disappearance or what may have happened that night," says Const. Damien Thériault. "Even what might seem like insignificant information could help police advance this investigation." Byram is 5'10" tall, weighs about 170 pounds, has brown eyes and salt and pepper hair, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He has tattoos on his arms and a gap between his upper front teeth. At the time of his disappearance, he had a few days of facial hair growth. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Codiac RCMP at 857-2400. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or www.crimenb.ca. Information that leads to Byram being located could qualify for a cash award of up to $2,000. The video can be found on YouTube by searching the missing man's name. http://timestranscript.canadaeast.com/news...article/1451563 |
